Capitol Records T2553 (1966). MONO, US Scranton pressing. Vinyl plays STRONG VG (vinyl has been ultrasonic cleaned, KLAudio). Vinyl has moderate scuffing and a few small scratches, nothing overpowering, no skips. The worst scuff is at the end of Dr Robert leading into the first 10-15 seconds of Yesterday it causes an audible tick. VERY CLEAN 2nd state butcher jacket!!!!! Jacket VG+ with moderate ring/surface-wear, no seam splits, clean spine. One edge has been carefully peeled to reveal the secret underneath. Includes the Scranton Capitol inner sleeve with a 1 split. Beatles Butcher Cover Yesterday And Today releases in the US on 06/20/1966 Rare Great Cond. This has been in this metal frame with plexiglass for many many years. The older woman I bought this from (huge Beatles collector) believed this to be an original promo sent to the reviewers and radio stations (never pasted over). It also comes with the recall letter they sent out shortly after sending the album out. I have always wanted one and would have paid double. Upon closer examination this seems to be a really extremely well done Peel Off or Third State. The letter seems to be a reproduction. Anyway I really dont have room for this in my Brooklyn apartment and it doesnt really go with any of my artwork. I THINK ITS A REPRODUCTION AND SEEMS THE MATRIX NUMBERS ARE THE WRONG WAY ROUND. THIS IS STILL A SORT AFTER LP. Vinyl is in near mint condition, its like never played new BUT I will say near mint to be safe it plays and sounds great I have cleaned this vinyl by hand and played the record and it sounds great.
