Capitol Records T2553 (1966). MONO, US Scranton pressing. Vinyl plays STRONG VG (vinyl has been ultrasonic cleaned, KLAudio). Vinyl has moderate scuffing and a few small scratches, nothing overpowering, no skips. The worst scuff is at the end of Dr Robert leading into the first 10-15 seconds of Yesterday it causes an audible tick. VERY CLEAN 2nd state butcher jacket!!!!! Jacket VG+ with moderate ring/surface-wear, no seam splits, clean spine. One edge has been carefully peeled to reveal the secret underneath. Includes the Scranton Capitol inner sleeve with a 1 split. My items are 100% authentic products!! Welcome to my store!!! It is US original monaural board. You can see that the collar of the apple is pasted. In a sense, it is very valuable because it combines both 1st and 3rd states. The sleeve has some rubbing on the surface. There is a slight pain on the back, and there is a tear of about 5 cm on the underside of the takeout. Jakeura also has ring-shaped aging. There is also a small hit on the corner. It is relatively good condition. You can see a faint scratch on the record. There are noticeable scratches on two sides. There is nothing deep enough to cause a needle jump. The original company sleeve is complete. There is a bruise and some bruises, and the bottom is missing. I accept return within 14 days from its receipt. Beatles LP “YESTERDAY & TODAY”.. Letter of Authenticity Included. Remedy to marketing an acceptable Album Cover for their latest album issued on. BEATLES’ “YESTERDAY and TODAY”. This variation is referred to as a. 2nd STATE MONO BUTCHER COVER. Because the original cover was pasted over with this new and more publicly acceptable cover design as shown here, since the original was found to be somewhat over the top and rejected by public opinion and the record executives at. The newly pasted over photo is known as the TRUNK COVER. This corrected cover version was released on JUNE 20, 1966. To make certain that the album is an actual 2nd STATE BUTCHER COVER , one easy way to tell is to look at the right side of the front cover about midway down. You will see a faint depiction of Ringo’s Black V-Neck shirt underneath. If you don’t see this, it’s a standard LP. This record is amazingly STILL FACTORY SEALED from 1966 and is in NM condition throughout, including all 4 corners, the spine, the opening and the in-tact shrink wrap throughout. It is the MONO Recording Capitol Catalog No. T-2553 and is one of the best examples of this rarity that we have seen in decades. It’s hard to imagine one in better shape. Also note that the ORIGINAL PRICE STICKER is still present. Overall it is a magnificent piece and a highly sought after collectible. It is obviously a FIRST PRESSING from Capitol’s LA Pressing Plant. On the back of the cover, you will note the Number 6 in the lower right corner. These LA Pressings were the VERY FIRST to be produced. On a personal note, these 2nd STATE MONO BUTCHER albums are rarely spotted in this pristine condition. There are obviously less expensive one’s out there in the collector’s market, but very few SEALED copies have EVER been found here in the 21st Century, that are overall in this museum quality state.
