This copy was acquired from the original owner that bought this back in the late 60s. It plays VERY well without any notable surface noise, and no skips or pops. Unless you find a sealed copy, this is near the best you’ll find! The classic and visually beautiful Andy Warhol cover is in great condition! Being an early pressing, it is amazing to see the banana still unpeeled and with little wear. The gatefold cover is fully intact with no seam splits or any other major issues besides some light shelf wear. The spine seam is very nice with a clear title! You won’t be disappointed! THE BEATLES YESTERDAY AND TODAY 2nd STATE UNPEELED BUTCHER COVER CAPITOL T-2553. CAPITOL RECORDS # T 2553. Second state cover, with the replacement cover slick pasted on top of the original cover. You can clearly see the original cover underneath by looking at the lower half of the left edge. COVER: The cover grades about VG minus. The jacket shows seam wear and about 3 inches of top seam splitting and about 5 inches of bottom seam splitting. The spine is split all the way from top to bottom. The cover shows staining and soiling on both the front and back. There is also the name Philip written on the back. See photos for more detail. VINYL: The record also grades about VG minus.
