The A-side has a name written in light blue ballpoint pen. Both sides have numerous surface scratches and surface marks… Although both sides play perfectly with no skips, and no sticks. Pops and ticks are only audible through the intros and outros. Both sides play perfectly after the intro and before the run-off groove. Thank you for your understanding. We use the guidelines for assessing and grading the condition of used records based on the Goldmine Grading for Records standards. All of our second hand vinyl records which require cleaning are professionally cleaned using a MOTH RCM Mk 2 record cleaning machine. It looks as though it has never been handled. No scuffs, scratches, blotches or stains. No stickers, address labels, or writing on the covers or labels. No tears or seam splits. No wear to the cover or record period! Age of the record has nothing to do with it. Near Mint or NM , M- : The record appears virtually flawless. A very minor scuff and very little else can appear on the vinyl. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw is very hard to see. The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork is to be as close to perfect as can be. VG++ : This record may have minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs, but NO scratches. The cover artwork is still as close to perfect as can be. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear! Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show white where the printing has worn away and /or slight shelf wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover, or taped repairs can make this grade. Very Good + or VG+ : The record shows wear and/or surface scuffs. The vinyl still has great lustre, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. If the flaws don’t cause any surface noise, the vinyl can still make the VG+ grade. The album will have a virtually clean cover, but may have small writing on it. The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of the cover usually gives away the age of the record. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, but no tears or holes popping through. The corners may be slightly dog-eared, yet no crackly bends, defacing the artwork. In essence, a VG+ cover should have no more than 3 flaws mentioned. Very Good or VG : This record is a copy that is good enough. They are not really going to look very good, but it will still play very well. There will almost always be some surface noise when played. The fidelity should still be excellent, overpowering the surface noise. A VG record will appear well played, but will still have some lustre. VG covers will look worn and used. There may be some seam splitting. There will be some ring wear where the ink has begun to wear off. Giving the cover a look of snow falling. If the artwork looks snowy all over, it is less than VG condition. There may be some writing on the cover (still, no large letters in magic marker). It will look aged and more yellowish, but will still look decent. Good or G : A good record will look very well played, dull, greyish and possibly abused. However a G record should still play. It will have distracting surface noise, such as crackle or some hiss that is continuous. It will also have some loss of fidelity caused from the grooves being worn. It should play without any skips or any obtrusively loud pops or repeated clicks, caused by deep scratches. Good means that it will play with some form of decency, so one can still enjoy the music even though you can still hear noise caused from the wear. A G graded cover will have just about everything wrong with it. It will have seam splits possibly taped repaired, but only with scotch tape. No duct tape or masking tape repairs. It may have magic marker writing on the cover. In essence, the cover will looked virtually trashed, but some artwork will still be noticed. If the artwork is obliterated, it is in Poor condition, and the cover is worthless. On a scale from 1 (Poor) to 10 (Perfect) the above gradings are equivalent to: Mint (M) 10 Near Mint (NM) or M- 8 Excellent (EX) or VG++ 7 Very Good Plus (VG+) 6 Very Good (VG) 5 Good (G) 3 Fair (F) 2 Poor (P) 1. Reel To Reel Tapes. PAT LEWIS No One To Love / (I Owe You) Something RARE DETROIT Northern Soul NM. Record : NM/NM: see grading scale below. I dont believe a cleaner copy of this record has been offered before. From the estate of a retired jukebox vendor in the Detroit area. Odds are it has never been played. PLEASE NOTE : ALL RECORDS ARE VISUALLY GRADED UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED; SEE OUR GRADING SCALE BELOW FOR CONDITION DETAILS. All our records are US pressings unless otherwise noted. M: A brand-new sealed record with a clean, tight jacket. NM: The highest grade for a used record. A glossy record with no visible damage that may affect sound quality. Record may have one or two insignificant defects not affecting play. Cover has tight spine and seams with maybe one or two defects not detracting from overall showing. EX: Extremely nice record that would be NM if not for a few insignificant hairlines or surface scuffs not affecting play. Cover will be structurally sound with slight wear or a more pronounced defect. VG+: Used record in good condition that may have a series of light scuffs or hairlines. A few pops, ticks or some slight surface noise may be heard at quiet moments, but record has no serious play issues. Cover may have light wear or minor writing. Should satisfy all but strict collectors. VG: A well-used record with a moderate amount of pops or surface noise. May have more prominent scuffs and scratches, but record should still play without skips. Cover may have split spine and/or seams with moderate overall wear. Only very rare records will be offered in this grade. _gsrx_vers_841 GS 7.0.16 (841). Bobby Kline Northern Soul Killer 45 Say Something Nice To Me MB 45-1001 Original
Here is a really clean copy of this Northern Soul Grail. If you are looking at this Im sure you already know what this is. It has light sleeve scuffs scratches etc. From storage but it still has a lot of gloss and looks like it was hardly ever played. It has light background noise which would probably improve with further cleaning. I hand cleaned it but it might get even better if you put it in an ultrasonic cleaner or VPI. I was too afraid to do so. Visually it is a solid VG+ or better. It has an almost unnoticeable super light storage warp but it is so light that I never noticed it until I was microscopically inspecting it. It is only barely noticeable on the turntable while its spinning. It in no way affects the record. It will be packed super well! Please dont contact me with ridiculous offers! Im a Soul DJ & record dealer. Thanks for looking and good luck! HTML Editor – Full Version. Label: Capitol Records RIAA 2. Product Code: T 2108 Black rainbow label. Format: Virgin Vinyl LP – Original Factory Sealed. Discography About The Record. It was the summer of 1964, and it had been a whole three months!!! Since a new Beatles album from Capitol Records — The Beatles’ Second Album, assembled from various sources — had been released to eager U. Fans (and topped the charts). In the meantime, in addition to doing a tour of the U. The group had released their debut movie, A Hard Day’s Night — but the U. Rights to the soundtrack were owned by United Artists Records (that was, in fact, the basis for United Artists’ original interest in producing the movie), which had duly released its soundtrack in late June (and saw it top the charts). Capitol didn’t have the soundtrack rights, but it was allowed to use most of the songs from the film; and as it turned out, the Beatles had delivered as fine a body of songs for the movie as they had for any of their albums up to that point — songs that, as Capitol executives soon discovered, worked just as well in their combination. And so Something New was released about a month after UA’s soundtrack, and if it wasn’t as strong as the two preceding U. Albums, in any other context and circumstance it would have been a contender for best rock & roll album of the year. Grouped alongside the band’s hard-rocking, first-rate covers of Carl Perkins’ “Matchbox” and Larry Williams’ “Slow Down, ” and topped out with their German-language rendition of “I Want to Hold Your Hand” (“Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand”), which probably couldn’t fit anywhere else, the Hard Day’s Night material sounded fine, and few fans seemed to mind paying twice for the songs that overlapped between the two albums. And no one seemed to notice that this is where the 11-song Beatles’ album comes into being, Capitol reasoning out that their material was so strong that they could get away with shaving off one track from the standard dozen, which became routine in the two years of U. Created releases that followed. Actually, outside of the context of the film for which they were written and recorded, the Hard Day’s Night material showed a remarkable growth in the band’s range and sound in just a few months. George Harrison’s 12-string Rickenbacker guitar, which was the group’s biggest sonic innovation in the movie score, was a little reduced in profile without the movie’s title track on hand, but it was still present, as was an unprecedented (for a rock & roll group) reliance on acoustic guitar sounds (“And I Love Her, ” “If I Fell”), and a range of ballads that showed greater emotional depth and seriousness than had been heard from too many rock & roll bands in 1964. I’ll Cry Instead. Things We Said Today. Any TIme At All. When I Get Home. And I Love Her 2:28. I’m Happy Just To Dance With You. If I Fell 2:19. Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand.
