C. A. Quintet Trip Thru Hell Original 1969 Candy Floss Records Psych LP

TITLE: “Trip Thru Hell” – 7 Song Vinyl LP. LABEL & NUMBER: Candy Floss Records – 12, 33 RPM Vinyl LP (CF-7764S) 1969. SONGS: See Pics Above (use zoom feature). VINYL CONDITION: Visual & Play Grading. Visual (VG) – Both vinyl sides are still shiny with multiple light surface scratches and scuffs. Play – I have played this LP in it’s entirety (4) times and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has super stereo effect. Below is a track by track description of play. Side 1: Track 1 (VG- to VG) has some pops starting out, sporadic tics and a series of 7 to 8 louder pops at about the halfway point (most of this 9 minute track is fairly clean); Track 2 (strong VG) has some ticks but lighter: Track 3 (VG+) with a few ticks. Side 2: Track 1 (Strong VG to VG+) with some ticks: Tracks 2,3 & 4 (VG+) with a light ticks/pops here and there. LABEL CONDITION: Labels are clean. SLEEVE: Strong VG – See pics above (use zoom feature). Primary defects are moderate to heavy wear to the spine, seams and corners and some minor light wear & soiling to the surfaces (Note: there was never any print on the spine of this LP). There are no seam splits, ring wear, saw cuts, cut corners, holes drilled, writing, stickers or stains. INNER SLEEVE: Poly lined white replacement sleeve. EX-/VG C. A. Quintet -Trip Thru Hell- Original Candy Floss Records Private Psych

This is yet another cool LP from my collection, one of the rarest and most sought after psychedelic rock gems of the late 1960’s, The C. Quintet’s LP entitled Trip Thru Hell on Candy Floss Records, a private label from Minnesota. The CA Quintet put out this LP, a reunion LP in 1980 or thereabouts, and a few 45rpms. The song “Cold Spider” appears on this LP, as well as Endless Journey Volume One, and must be heard to be believed. I think Patrick Lundborg of the Acid Archives sums up this LP by explaining Ah, yes, the Trip, an LP so packed with talent and originality it alone justifies the existence of the underground record collector circuit, who pulled this old Twi Cities head fave out of obscurity and turned it into a world-famous psychedelic Grail several decades ago. NOTE: This item will be mailed Monday Morning July 25; I would be grateful if you could wait until July 23 or July 24 before Paying–THANKS! The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels. Comes hand-cleaned on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning machine and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me). Excellent Minus (EX-) cover. Very nice heavy Textured cover with No Ring Wear on front or back cover and NO spine splits, No seam splits. Minor corner rubs and a few chips on the seams. Back cover has some very light age marks on the left side near the spine (at least I think they are age marks and not part of the cover design). Awesome thick heavy textured cover that would be very difficult to upgrade; most copies now come with split seams and ring wear. Of the heavy nature of the cover. But I have stored this properly for decades, so that is not the case with this copy. Please see all the Photos I took. I didn’t take them for fun and frolic. Vinyl Condition : Very Good (VG) vinyl with light marks and scuffs, including a couple of long but light and meaningless scuffs. No skips, no sticks, no jumps, no scratches that can be felt, although a few obvious visual light scuffs and some noticeable but light paper marks. But like all copies, this plays with some noticeable background noise (some crackling, and a few random pops here and there, but the pops are not from scratches), more so on Side 1 than Side 2. But the quality of the music is incredible, and the effects stunning particularly the ceiling to floor phasing, instead of just left to right phasing! Of the music is stunning, but there is that darn background noise which even super clean copies of this LP have because of the private pressing. Light spindle marks around the hole. Please see photos of all labels. Inserts : Comes with original plain white (now brown) paper. But no worries, this comes cleaned on my KL Audio Ultrasonic record cleaning machine and in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve so the old Dust does not reattach! I clean all vinyl on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new rice paper style innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve after cleaning from the cover, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage during this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating Do Not Bend and/or Fragile or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage. Sorry for my Silly mistake about mailing this on July 25. This will be mailed first thing Monday Morning August 1, not first thing Monday Morning July 25, because on July 25 I will still not know who the lucky winner of this LP might be. The item “EX-/VG C.
