Rare Record (John Osborne & The Southern Express-Down South Jukin) Sealed
Rare Private Press- John Osborne & The Southern Express-Down South Jukin-Sealed. Corners have some wear from storage. Sleeve is starting to yellow spot. Where to begin with this record.. They rip it up out of the gate with their version of Charlie Daniels’ Souths Gonna Do It Again, stay true to form with some Marshall Tucker covers, give their best shot at a couple of Lynyrd Skynyrd tunes (sounds like somebody less confident taking a turn on the vocals here). They waltz thru Mel Street’s Who’ll Turn Out The Lights and Honky Tonk their way across Ronnie Milsap’s Houston but the REAL GEMS are their spooky as hell and painful take on Turn The Page and a rocked out Baker Street with its phased vocals and aggressive tempo. They manage to get loose and funky enough to throw in a hot take on Jr Walker’s Shotgun with a nice wide open drum break. All in all – this sounds like the ultimate wasted midwestern biker bar experience, circa 1979. This item is in the category “Music\Vinyl Records”. The seller is “retro-vintage-obsolete” and is located in this country: US. This item can be shipped to United States.
