BASED ON VISUAL GRADING – I HAVE NOT PLAY TESTED IT, SO IT IS A BIT SUBJECTIVE. ALSO YOU CAN ASK US FOR ANY DOUBTS. M- MINT Absolutely perfect in every way NM – NEAR MINT A nearly perfect record EX – EXCELLENT Amazing condition but not MINT VG++ Better than VG+ but below EX. VG+ A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect one’s. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are “OK”. VG Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. VG- It will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear May be badly warped, and won’t play through without skipping or repeating. Please see my other Rare records for sale, including Pink Floyd, and some obscure psych stuff. Cover/Record Grading: Sealed/ M- (rarely used) NM / EX (+/-) / VG+ / VG / VG- / G (+/-). This is a cool Canada Stereo copy of July’s legendary first and only LP that was released originally in the UK on the Major-Minor label in MONO format (with border psychedelic lines missing from the USA and Canada pressings). The matrix numbers in the trail-off end in -1A and -1C. This is even rarer than the USA stereo version as only a few copies were pressed in Canada. See my other rare versions of this July LP for sale. Please see the details below about the cover, vinyl, labels and everything else you might want to know. The photos of the labels or cover list the songs and any possible details about the labels. Comes cleaned on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaner and placed in a new dust-free sleeve for your grandchildren. And at least one plastic sleeves for moisture protection (for you and me). Would be near mint but there is a drill hole and accompanying crease in the top left corner. Please SEE all my photos; I did not take them for fun and frolic and they could answer any question you have. Excellent Plus (EX+) top keeper vinyl. No worries, this LP comes cleaned. On my KLA Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine (like I always do). Please look at my photos in case I missed something. Cleaned in new rice paper-type. I clean all LPs on my KL Audio Ultrasonic Record Cleaning Machine and place it in a new innersleeve so the old dust does not reattach; but I also include the innersleeve that came with the LP if it is the original. I separate the vinyl in its new sleeve from the cover after cleaning, and place the cover and the separately packed vinyl in at least one if not two plastic innersleeves that help protect against moisture damage d. Uring this cool records transition to your record collection. I use sturdy carboard containers with real corners and pack in an MLP-1 oversize box with corner protectors, or a regular NICE cardboard box with at least two insert stiffeners, and I place neon stickers on the front and back of the package indicating Do Not Bend and/or Fragile or something like that to help facilitate a safe passage. Still clearing out bits from a monster collection I bought some years back… Ltd to 1000 and hand numbered. Nirvana – Love Buzz Debut Sub Pop 7 vinyl EX+/EX+ #765/1000 Kurt Cobain SP 23 1988. A – Love Buzz. B – Big Cheese. Dead wax/run out info… Matrix / Runout (Run Out Side A): SP-23-A Why Don’t You Trade Those Guitars For Shovels? Matrix / Runout (Run Out Side B): SP-23-B L-31540X Kdisc. The vinyl is EX+ with only very light hairlines, visible under a strong light. Both labels are also EX+ (maybe NM) with no signs of wear, writing or stickers. The fold out card sleeve is also EX+ with brillinat sharp corners and hardly any wear. The top right corner has a very slight crease with stops it from being NM. Other than that it’s beautifully clean and white, with no marks or stickers. The number on this copy is 765 is red pen. Format: 12 Vinyl LP Label : RCA Victor Cat No : SF 8287 Year: 1972 Country: UK Condition (Sleeve/Disc): EX+/EX See below for grading definitions Notes: Complete with printed inner. Glossy orange labels with “Stereo” text, no Mainman credits it has Titanic credits on the labels. The sleeve has only minor storage wear, no rips or splits. The inner has a little creasing, no splits. Please zoom in and have a good look at the photos. The record is in great condition very clean, with only a few very light surface marks. We remove all records from their sleeve, where there is a lyric inner or similar the record will also be removes and transported in a poly lined inner. All contents will the be bagged. We package our records in the best available mailers with two cardboard protective stiffeners, great care is taken with all packaging to ensure that your record arrives in the best possible condition. Auctions please pay within 4 days of the listing ending. Heavy items such as Hi-Fi equipment are excluded. Please note that all of our records are visually graded under strong light, unless otherwise stated. We stock 1000’s of records so it is impossible for us to play every record. Please feel free to request a play grade which we will happily provide. We only grade as mint where the record is brand new and sealed with no visible damage to the sleeve. It may have slight corner bumps/rub, ringwear and maybe very minor creasing. It will have no rips or splits. Record: We be in a new like condition. It may have very, very minor defects such as no more than a couple of very light wispy hairlines and a couple of spindle trails around the centre holes. Basically a record in NM condition will look like you have just got it back from the record shop or at worse only had a couple of plays. Sleeve: As NM but the signs of wear will become a little more pronounced. There may be signs of stress at the seams maybe the beginnings of a split. It may have a cut out hole indicating that it was taken out of print. There may be a little graffiti on the sleeve or label. Record: Will show signs of play but has been well looked after by the previous owner. It may show a few more light marks/scuffs than a NM. These marks won’t be deep enough to be felt. Slight warps are that don’t effect the sound are OK. Sleeve: A VG sleeve will have many of the defects found in a EX but more pronounced. Seam splits may be more obvious or may be taped or show residue. There may be small rips. Laminate may be bubbled, may be marred with writing. Record: Wear and defects will be more obvious with marks/scuffs deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Groove wear will be more noticeable. Sound deterioration and surface noise will become more likely especially during quieter passages. We don’t sell records with a lower grade than VG unless it is incredibly rare. SYD BARRETT THE MADCAP LAUGHS LP VINYL RECORD RARE EX/EX+ 1ST PRESS A-2G/B-2G. A BEAUTIFUL PRESSING , RARE MATRIX 1ST VERSION. Matrix / Runout (Side A stamped runout): SHVL 765 A-2G. Matrix / Runout (Side B stamped runout): SHVL 765 B-2G. Small flaw on top right of cover, but at normal size bearly noticeable. Other wise top copy , nice clean vinyl. No Man’s Land. She Took A Long Cold Look. If It’s In You. (tracks: A5, B1 to B6), Malcolm Jones. (tracks: A1 to A4, A6, B7), Roger Waters. (tracks: A5, B1 to B6). Specific to this release: Released in a front laminated gatefold sleeve with the disc housed in the rear opening and the front opening is glued shut with no inner flap. The backcover states printing date 6911 (November 1969). This was clearly in advance of the 1970 release date. Labels have the following: 1. Green/yellow Harvest Label with no’EMI’ Logo and’The Gramophone Co. At 11 o’clock on the outer rim. SYD BARRETT’ appears higher up the label than on some versions above the’HARVEST’ logo at 9 o’clock. Side 2 label has credits’Barrett + Joyce’. Some versions have’Barrett except + Joyce’. On each label side there is a gap between’Lupus Music Ltd’ and’Produced by… On the sleeve tracks B4 to B6 have a combined running time of 7:59. Barcode and Other Identifiers. Rare 12 LP Vintage Vinyl Pressing Graded to Record Collector Book Format. Be sure to add me to your favourites list. RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM. Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. Booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable. Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. CDs and CASSETTES As a general rule CDs and Cassettes either play perfectly in which case they are in Mint condition or they dont, in which case their value is minimal. CDs are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves.
