The Who 1960s Japan-issue LPs and four compilation albums are now being reissued in limited 180g vinyl with artwork that reproduces the originals as closely as possible, this time in color. 1, My Generation [red vinyl]. The Who US debut “The Who Sings My Generation”, featuring a well-balanced lineup of strong originals by Pete Townsend and mod-ish R&B covers, is reissued in its original Japan jacket (SDL-10271) and song order, originally released by Teichiku in March 1967. The Who’s US debut album “The Who Sings My Generation” is reissued in its original Japanese jacket (SDL-10271) and song order. The artwork (flip-back jacket, obi, insert, and label) is reproduced as faithfully as possible from the hard-to-find original release. The pseudo-stereo soundtrack from the original release has been replaced with a 2016 stereo remix. Red vinyl/180g weight vinyl. 2, I’m a Boy [yellow vinyl]. The Who” was released in stereo in various European countries and was edited by adding EPs and singles to the songs from the second album “A Quick One in the UK. The Who’s second album “The Who” in European countries is reissued with the original Japan jacket (SLPM-1354) and song order released by Nippon Gramophone in June 1967. The artwork (flip-back jacket, obi, insert, and label) are reproduced as faithfully as possible from the hard-to-find original vinyl. Recorded from the original stereo master tapes in Japan. Yellow vinyl, 180g weight vinyl. 3, Exciting the Who [Purple Vinyl]. This is a reissue of the original Japan-only version, compiled by adding songs released as singles between 1966 and 1967 and songs from “A Quick One” that were omitted from the previous Japanese release “I’m A Boy”, in the original (SLPM-1385) specifications released by Nippon Gramophone in April 1968. The artwork (flip-back jacket, band, insert, and label) is reproduced as faithfully as possible from the hard-to-find original release. The pseudo-stereo soundtrack of the original release has been replaced with mono. Purple vinyl/180g weight vinyl. 4, I Can See for Miles [green vinyl]. The Who’s third album “The Who Sell Out” is reissued in its original Japan jacket (SLPM-1394) originally released by Nippon Gramophone in August 1968, with pirate radio jingles and fictional commercials in between tracks. The artwork (flip-back jacket, obi, insert, and label) is reproduced as faithfully as possible from the original hard-to-find copy. Recorded from the original stereo master tape in Japan.
