    This LP is from a collection I acquired from the friend of a fastidious collector who passed away over 30 years ago The friend inherited them & stored them away for that entire time. The friend told me he hasn’t touched them at all for that entire time & looking at this collection I totally believe him. This LP looks like it was barely played by the original owner, if at all. The cover has very minor issues which i’ve described in greter detail below. The Velvet Underground & Nico – OG 1968 Verve Vinyl LP – Intact Banana Peel – NM. The Velvet Underground & Nico. Verve Records V6-5008 / US 1968 (Airbrushed Torso Version). A V6-5008 SIDE-1 MGS-558 REV 21 Block-shaped’S’ B V6-5008 SIDE-2 MGS-559 21 Block-shaped’S. I’m not 100% sure it’s “21” in the runout. One or both could be a “31”. It’s hard to tell. The cover is in superb condition. Bright and clean with a very light discoloration in the spine area. Crisp spine & edges except for a few very light dings in the opening of the back flap of the gate-fold. The gate-fold inside is very close to pristine. A light partial record imprint on the front & back cover. The peel is lifted a very slight bit at the top of the stem. It looks like the previous owner started to peel it & thought better of it or maybe it just got snagged a little bit on something. The banana peel is intact but a little off set so I originally thought it was carefully peeled off and put back on in the offset position, but I was talking to a trusted audiophile friend of mine and he assured me that this was next to impossible because they tear so easily and it probably came from the plant like that. Comes with original Verve inner sleeve which is also in superb condition with no splits. The vinyl looks in pristine shape viewed under bright light. Looks untouched with a high sheen and Crisp, Clean labels with no spindle marks. Spot checked and it sounds Super Clean.
