Dark side of the moon vinyl LP. First UK pressing from 1973 with A2/B2 matrices and solid blue triangle on the vinyl labels. Vinyl is in really beautiful condition. Clean, bright and still glossy with only the odd light scuff visible under strong light. A udio is great. Plays through crisp and clear with no jumps or sticks. No distortion and just mild surface noise between tracks and on the quieter sections but certainly nothing which overpowers the music. Labels are very clean with no wear or writing. A few spindle marks. Stickered sleeve is also in clean and solid condition with no splits, or unwanted writing. Some edge and shelf wear but other wise a strong VG+. Includes one original poster and one postcard. These are showing signs of age with yellowing and the poster has pinholes and a couple of tears. Overall a really great copy of this first pressing. Will be supplied with a new polylined inner. Any questions or if you require more photos please ask. I use correct record mailers and stiffeners to ensure the record arrives free of damage. I will post world wide. Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc. Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler. Originally released on 1 March 1973, on the label Harvest, it built on ideas explored in the band’s earlier recordings and live shows, but departs from instrumental thematic by founding member Syd Barrett. The album explores themes including conflict, greed, the passage of time, and mental illness, the latter partly inspired by Barrett’s deteriorating mental state. Developed during live performances, an early version was premiered several months before recording began; new material was recorded in two sessions in 1972 and 1973 at Abbey Road in London. The group used some advanced recording techniques at the time, including multitrack recording and tape loops. Analogue synthesizers were prominent in several tracks, and snippets from recorded interviews with Pink Floyd’s road crew and others provided philosophical quotations throughout. Engineer Alan Parsons was responsible for many distinctively notable sonic aspects and the recruitment of non-lexical singer Clare Torry. The album’s iconic sleeve, designed by Storm Thorgerson, depicts a prism dispersing light into colour and represents the band’s lighting, the record’s thematic material, and keyboardist Richard Wright’s “simple and bold” design request. PINK FLOYD: The Dark Side Of The Moon, UK Harvest 1973 1. Pressing with the Solid Blue triangle label. SHVL 804-A, SHVL 804-B matrixes. Complete with the 2 posters & 2 stickers. Posters are the rare non-glossy thick paper style, and the stickers have the simple’permament’ in red ink on back. This LP comes with the original black UK poly-inner. The superb gatefold cover is the correct’blue-toned’ 1. Pressing cover, and this rare example has the rare sticker. Please note that all later covers for this title have a darker more black tone. Extremely rare in this condition! VINYL is in stunning MINT(-) condition,’as new’. Very possible UNPLAYED until carefully tested by myself. Looks absolutely’as new’ and labels indicate 0 to 1 plays judging by ONE ultra faint spindle trace on each side , nearly invisible. (This 1 spindle-line is very often present on unplayed records directly from the factory). Vinyl is 100% flat and plays with perfect sound throughout! COVER is superb EXCELLENT++ , a couple of barely noticable crease lines on back cover near back spine, see pics. Great upper and lower spines, great back spine. From front one of the best looking blue toned covers I have ever seen. Overall, a superb cover for an incredible clean LP! BLACK inner is EXCELLENT++. A few of the mandatory creases, but no real wear. One of the very best I have seen. Posters & stickers are all EX+ to MINT- condition. All items are play graded and carefully checked. All LPs are cleaned on the Audio Desk Ultrasonic Vinyl Cleaner for optimal sound-quality. Please WAIT FOR INVOICE after all auctions are closed… Same charge for 1 or 5 LPs, or any number in between. 6-10 LPs will be sent in two packages at 30 GBP. Ll items or combined totals over 40 GBP will have the additional charge of 4 GBP to cover Tracking. Special UK-made extra-stiff-mailers designed for multiple LPs are used, even for single LP packages. The boxes are oversized and thus provide extra corner protection as well as great stiffness to the package. Addtional protection may also be used when found nessesary, such as stiffeners, bubble-wrap, extra corner-protection. I do not charge anything for packing materials. Is as close to new as a used LP or cover can get, unplayed or played 1-2 times at most with no visual signs of use on surfaces. Superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else, aside from possibly a barely visible and inaudible hairline or two. All minor blemishes will be mentioned in the individual descriptions. S also VERY nice, 2-3 light. Marks/hairlines perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality. VG+ is nice with light hairlines, a few marks maybe. PINK FLOYD Dark Side Of The Moon. UK 1st press vinyl LP in gatefold sleeve with black polylined inner sleeve. Complete with 2 stickers and 2 posters. What is really unusal with about this copy is that it comes with it’s original stickered shrinkwrap. The shrinkwrap has been stored inside the sleeve so it no longer fits over the outside but is complete and still has the all important sticker. Sleeve is slightly more blue in colour than later pressing, also the front part of the gatefold is sealed with a flap from the front card sheet. Vinyl has the all important solid blue triangle label design, this was changed to the outline of a triangle on later pressings. Harvest SHVL 804 1973. CONDITION: Excellent good solid non-laminated sleeve. It does, as with most copies have a little rubbing/shelwear / Excellent Looks fantastic. Retains a great shine. Plays great with a little background crackle in quieter parts, but this does not at all ruin the enjoyment of the LP Labels are Ex, with just a few light spindle marks. All Records Are Strictly Graded To Record Collector Standard, Sleeve Graded First. M – Mint In Perfect / As New Condition. EX – Excellent Used And With Minor Signs Of Wear. VG – Very Good Used, Sleeve Will Have Obvious Signs Of Wear/Damage. Vinyl Will Have Obvious Signs Of Wear, Will Play With No Major Faults, But May Have Some Surface Noise.
