Over ten years of grading nearly a million albums, Shuga Records has developed a consistent and conservative method for objectively grading the condition of everything we sell. All recordings are visually inspected under high-intensity lights, using our customized grading system. Still-Sealed Mint (SS): When someone says somethings Mint condition, this is what theyre talking about. The album is sealed in its original packaging and has never been played. Mint (M-): This is the highest grade for records that have been played. The album is in excellent condition and shows no visible signs of wear or damage that will affect sound quality. VG+: While not flawless, the condition is very good, showing only minimal signs of use. Any visible blemishes should have minimal affect on play quality, though light surface noise maybe present at very quiet portions or between tracks. This is a record that should satisfy all but the most strict of collectors. There may be slight ring or cover wear, or minor writing on the cover. VG: Vinyl may have scratches and/or other visual blemishes, but should play through without skipping or repeating. Light to moderate surface noise and/or crackle may be present, however not overly distracting. Covers may have moderate ring and/or edge wear, cut-outs / hole punches, or a moderate seam splits. VG- and below: Lets be honest: sound quality is low and the cover may be in very poor shape. We consider any item graded at or below VG- as a LOW GRADE item. We only sell albums rated VG- and above unless a record is so rare that its presence in the collection transcends the poor quality of the vinyl or cover. Note: Our custom grading system is not based on the Goldmine system. Operators are available 24 hours a day/7days a week. Please leave a message if no one answers. We do so as if we would be purchasing the record ourselves. SS = Still factory sealed. A Record that has never been opened and is still sealed in the original factory shrink wrap. M- = Near mint. Our highest grade for an opened record. The record may only have been played once or twice, or the previous owner was very meticulous in how they handled it. Vinyl is extra clean and shiny with virtually no signs of wear. Cover is also very clean appearing and well preserved. EX = Only slight signs of wear; still very clean, with a few very light surface marks which won’t distract from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear and will still be in strong collectible condition. This grade should still satisfy most demanding collectors. VG+ = Shows some signs of being used, but has still been well cared for. It may have light surface wear and a little record noise at times such asduring soft passages. Overall it should still play well. Cover may have some wear or light ring wear but does not have any serious damage or defects. VG = A more used record with some overall wear and light marks in the vinyl. There should be no skips while playing the record. Cover will have some wear, seamwear, ring wear, or a price sticker. VG- (VG Minus) = We normally don’t offer this poor condition, but some titles are very difficult to find in any condition. It will have some scratches or overall wear, and might play with a lot of noise. The cover would have heavy wear, ring wear, perhaps some tearing or splitting as well. Authentic reproductions of the original sleeve art & labels with the additional discs housed in individual white jackets, presented in a heavy duty road case. The outer cardboard box is in very good condition. In 2006 Classic Records outdid themselves with the comprehensive Led Zeppelin Box set. There has never been an undertaking quite like the production of this box set. In addition to the Super Vinyl Profile 200 gram Quiex SV-P technology, Classic Records produced these on single sided 12 records at 45 rpm speed. Every Led Zeppelin album was mastered directly from the original master recordings. Since the mastering is exactly the same as the 33 rpms and the jackets and label art are the same authentic reproductions, why would anyone need the same material on 45 rpm discs? The answer is simple – you should be more kind to your cartridge by letting it play 45 rpm discs and reveal all the nuances that are nearly impossible to retrieve from a 33 rpm disc. The information in the grooves of these 45 rpms is EXACTLY the same as in their 33 rpm counterparts. To prove it is very easy – think of the lathe as it is cutting a lacquer, the cutter head doesn’t know what speed the platter is spinning as the cutter blindly moves up and down back and forth carving the grooves. The difference is that at 45 rpm the same signal is imprinted over a longer distance and hence the “stretched” out groove is easier for a cartridge to traverse which allows the cartridge to give a better read on what is carved. The sonic difference can be quite remarkable, especially if the music is complex as with Classical music or dense as is often the case with Rock. Rest assured that you have never heard Stairway to Heaven until you’ve heard it at 45 rpm! This is as close to the master tape as we are able to get with an LP and as such is extremely special although requires you to change sides more often than with a 33 rpm disc. This set represents the ultimate in collectibles given that only 2 NUMBERED Archive sets exist assuring that it will likely skyrocket in price over the years to come!!! If you are a Led Zeppelin nut (you know who you are) then this set is essential – if not then go listen to some Barry Manilow! We strive to describe our items with the highest level of accuracy. Jackets are included in “as is” condition. This rate does not apply to special items such as box sets containing 2LPs or more. Please request an invoice from us to provide you with this service. Custom delays could be expected on high priced items. Customer Service We appreciate our customers. We appreciate 5 star feedback and will do our best to work with you to earn it.
