It has been described as the most desirable 7 single for vinyl collectors, especially those interested in the 1970’s and/or the Punk scene. This record has achieved legendary status and offered here is an unplayed mint original copy. The origins of this record ensure its provenance. It is one of the few original. The record was given to this retired lawyer after he had been working for A& M as a legal advisor in 1977/78. This was shortly after the well publicised mayhem and carnage that the Sex Pistols created in the A& M offices shortly after their publicity stunt marking the signing of the band to the label outside Buckingham Palace. Following their misbehaviour the senior managers at the label cancelled their contract and demanded all copies of the recently pressed single be destroyed. This order was carried out, apart from one box retained by a senior executive who gave them out to senior executives and consultants who worked for them at the time. This one box is the stuff of the legend amongst the record collecting community. This copy offered for sale we bought from a retired lawyer who worked for A&M in the 1970’s & 80′ advising them on property and land deals. He has not played it but kept it safe for all these years. The record comes with the letter of provenance. It is mint and unplayed.
