THE BEATLES Please Please Me Rare 1963 UK FIRST PRESSING Gold label vinyl LP
Welcome to Steel Wheels. Vinyl 7 / EPs. PLEASE PLEASE ME. YEAR OF RELEASE: – 1963. Incredibly Rare 1963 UK first press 14-track mono vinyl LP on the gold print Parlophone label with’Dick James Mus. Publishing credits for Please Please Me, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Do YouWant To Know A Secret & There’s A Place, front laminated flipback picture sleeve together with the original’Emitex’ inner sleeve. The cover is in wonderful condition, especially for the age, there is some discolouration to the rear and some creasing to one corner of the rear flipbacks. The vinyl itself is simply stunning, yes it reveals some light surface marks and there is some light surface noise between tracks themselves but overall this plays out beautifully with no jumps. MATRICES:- XEX 421 -1 N XEX 422 -1 N. THIS IS A SUPERB COPY OF THIS MUCH SOUGHT AFTER ALBUM. I’M CONSIDERING KEEPING IT FOR MYSELF AS AN INVESTMENT IF I DON’T GET THE ASKING PRICE NO OFFERS PLEASE. All my items are graded according to the Record Collectors grading system. M (Mint): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and the extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EX (Excellent): The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VG (Very Good): The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. G (Good): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc. F (Fair): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. WOW WHAT A FIND! THIS IS A SUPER EXAMPLE OF THE RAREST YELLOW/BLACK ” 4TH ” LABELLED UK STEREO PRESSING WITH NO RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED TEXT, OF ALL THE EARLIEST 4 LABELLED VARIANTS THIS IS THE HARDEST ONE TO FIND AS ONLY LIKELY JUST A HANDFUL WERE EVER PRESSED BEFORE THE NEW CORPORATE YELLOW & BLACK LABEL OF 63 LABEL WAS SETTLED UPON & STANDARDISED. AS SUCH THIS COPY ALSO HAS THE EARLIEST MOTHER STAMPER FOR SIDE TWO OF 1G (EVEN THE BLACK AND GOLDS START THAT SIDE WITH 1R) WITH 1P ON SIDE ONE. WHEN FIRST RELEASED THIS ALBUM WAS AT THE END OF THE BLACK & GOLD LABEL ERA, THE 1ST LABEL WAS THE BLACK & GOLD WITH DICK JAMES CREDITS FOR ALL THE LENNON McCARTNEY SONGS, FOLLOWED BY A CORRECTED BLACK & GOLD LABEL CHANGING MANY TO THE CORRECT NORTHERN SONGS (” 2ND ” LABEL). THEN WHEN THE NEW CORPORATE YELLOW & BLACK LABELS ARRIVE THE FIRST EFFORT (” 3RD ” LABEL) HAD AN ERROR IN THAT IT INCLUDED THE SMALL 33 1/3RD THAT WAS USED ON THE BLACK & GOLDS IN ERROR SO THIS SECOND EFFORT (4TH LABEL) CORRECTLY REMOVES THIS DUPLICATION BUT STILL DOES NOT SHOW THE RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED AND OF ALL THE LABELS THIS ONE IS THE HARDEST OF THE HARD TO FIND. EMI EVENTUALLY GOT IT RIGHT AND ENDED UP WITH A NEW LABEL STYLE THEY WERE HAPPY WITH AND IT SHOULD BE STRESSED THAT THESE CHANGES HAPPENED OVER A PERIOD OF LITERALLY JUST A FEW SHORT WEEKS. Some of the more valuable items of the same weight will also therefore show a slightly higher postal cost. Apologies again, this is not of my makin g. TRACK LISTING : see labels. MATRICIES: -1 -1 MOTHER STAMPERS : 1P 1G. VINYL VISUAL : STILL RETAINS ITS FIRST PRESSED SHEEN. SLEEVE: SUPER LARGE STEREO EXAMPLE, THE ODD CREASE AND SLIGHT BUMP TOP FRONT RIGHT GRADES EX. LABELS : EVIDENCE OF PLAY GRADE EX. RAREST OF ALL THE STEREO VARIANTS AND PRICED ACCORDINGLY, TRY & FIND ANOTHER. Please note that whilst I try to endeavour to adhere to strict RC gradings I will never describe ANYTHING AS MINT even when I think it to be so. However if I believe an item to be Mint. I will instead either use the terms Near Mint, mint minus, or in archive or vault condition. When I use these terms you know that in my opinion this is in effect a de-facto Mint grade. Dont forget to take a look at my other items. Please feel free to contact me with any queries you may have. PROOF OF POSTING WOULD SEEM INSUFFICIENT TO THEM AND I HAVE FOUND THIS OUT THE HARD WAY. EACH ADDITIONAL LP AFTER THE FIRST WILL USUALLY BE AND EXTRA G 2.00 PER EACH ADDITIONAL LP. 1955 ORIGINAL ELVIS PRESLEY SUN LABEL 215 PUSH MARKS 45 MILKCOW BLUES BOGGIE. I HAD NEVER HEARD OF PUSH MARKS UNTIL I STARTED TRYING TO FIGURE UP THE VALUE OF THIS 45. I HAD TO READ THREE ARTICLES UNTIL I FINALLY FOUND PHOTOS THAT SHOWED WHAT PUSH MARKS ARE ON SUN RECORDS. I LOOKED AT MY 45 AND SURE ENOUGH I HAD SOME. I ASKED MY SON TO TAKE A LOOK, I DIDN’T TELL HIM WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, I DID TELL HIM TO LOOK AT THE WORDS “HI-LO MUSIC BMI, ” AND HE SAID HE SAW A CIRCLE UNDER THE WORD MUSIC. ” I ASKED HIM IF HE SAW ANY OTHERS, AND HE DID, ABOVE THE “ER” IN HEARTBREAKER, AND IN THE “N OF SUN. ON THE FLIPSIDE HE SAW THEM ON THE “S” OF SUN, BESIDES THE WORD “VOCAL, ” AND OVER THE “ILKC” OF MILKCOW. JUST BECAUSE THE TWO OF US HAVE SEEN THE PUSH MARKS, DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE PUSH MARKS EXPERTS. THE RECORD HAS SOME WRITING ON ONE SIDE, AND MAYBE SOME OLD TAPE ON THE OTHER SIDE???? I HAVE PLAYED THE RECORD AND YES, IT SOUNDS LIKE AN OLD RECORD, WITH HISSING AND OTHER NOISE, BUT NO SKIPS. IT PROBABLY COULD USE A GOOD CLEANING. I HAVE TRIED TAKING PHOTOS OF THE PUSH MARKS. THE puSH MARKS ARE EVEN CLEARER. Ultra rare BEATLES 1969 vinyl lp BEATLEMANIA yes the green target label
This VINTAGE VINYL LP ALBUM is by the BEATLES titled BEATLEMANIA on CAPITOL records MONO label #T-6051. This vinyl is in VERY GOOD condition with SOME SURFACE HAIRLINES and the jacket in EXCELLENT VG++ CONDITION. THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL FOR BEATLES COLLECTORS. THIS RECORD VARIATION WAS SAID NOT TO EXIST WITH THE GREEN CAPITOL TARGET LABEL. THIS ITEM IS PLAY GRADED AND HAS AT LEAST 10X BETTER SOUND QUALITY THAN THE ORIGINAL 1963 VERSION. AS MENTIONED THERE ARE SOME HAIRLINES AND SCUFFS ON THE VINYL AND HAS SOME FAINT BACKGROUND EFFECT BETWEEN SOME OF THE TRACKS. BUT DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THE MUSIC ITSELF AS THERE ARE NO LOUD CLICKS OR POPS ANYWHERE. THE COVER IS CLEAN BRIGHT WHITE, NO SPLIT SEAMS OR WRITING ON THE COVER. In 1969, Capitol changed their logo to the round target logo; they also created a new target label design for the occasion. This label was lime green and was used until 1971 where it was then replaced by the similar red target label. All the Capitol Beatles albums were reissued on this label, except for The Beatles Story and the three 6000 series albums. Capitol Records, T 6051, released November 25, 1963. Capitol Records, ST 6051, released 1978. NOTE: no mention of this 1969 green target label ever released. I’M GRADING THESE UNDER A HALOGEN LIGHT, SO YOU CAN BE ASSURED THESE ARE IN CONDITION STATED. THESE ARE CONSERVATIVELY GRADED. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY; These records are all from an uncle who was a very avid record collector who has amassed this collection over a 40 year period. Music was his passion and remember going to his home and many would be displayed on walls and had his whole garage a collage of record covers and 45’s. Drove my aunt crazy. He would go to garage sales, thrift stores, record shows and bring these home by the box fulls. All genres of music are in this collection so there is something for everyone, his only criteria, it needed to be in exceptional condition. He has said it is time for these to go so that others may enjoy what he has enjoyed for the past 40 years. There are over 40,000 records plus 10,000 45’s in this collection most if not all in the VG+ to Near Mint condition. There are a few that are rarer and in lesser condition, but will be indentified as they are listed. These will be listed for some time so visit often. THE GRADING; FACTORY SEALED UNOPENED RECORD… WOULD BE ASSUMED TO BE MINT. MINT PRISTINE, HAS NO SPINDLE TRAILS AND APPEARS JUST LIKE IT CAME OUT OF THE JACKET FOR THE FIRST TIME. WILL HAVE ALL ORIGINAL GLOSS, AT WORST POSSIBLY A LIGHT SURFACE SCUFF UP TO MINT UNPLAYED. VG++ OR VG+++ RECORD… THIS IS A RECORD WELL TAKEN CARE OF, PLAYED LITTLE, BUT MAY SHOW A SCUFF OR HAIRLINE OR TWO ON EACH OR EITHER SIDE, BUT WILL NOT HAVE ANY FEELABLE SCRATCHES. THIS RECORD WOULD BE ASSUMED TO PLAY IN THE STATED CONDITION. VG+ RECORD will HAVE A FEW MORE SCUFFS OR HAIRLINES AND MAX ONE FEELABLE TOTAL. GOOD OR VG RECORD WILL HAVE NUMEROUS HAIRLINES AND A SOME FEELABLES. THESE CAN BE EASILY BE GOOGLED. 8. Chuck Berry Roll Over Beethoven b/w The Moonglows Label, 45 Record TRIPLE ERROR

    June 23, 2019 by admin

Chuck-Berry-Roll-Over-Beethoven-b-w-The-Moonglows-Label-45-Record-TRIPLE-ERROR-01-ltvs Chuck Berry Roll Over Beethoven b/w The Moonglows Label, 45 Record TRIPLE ERROR

Chuck Berry Roll Over Beethoven b/w The Moonglows Label, 45 Record TRIPLE ERROR
Secondhand Record For Sale. Item : This isnt rare or scarce, its a one of a kind. The record is the iconic 1956 Chuck Berry single, Roll Over Beethoven b/w Drifting Heart yet with the wrong label (When Im With You by The Moonglows) on the B-side! Its an understandable mix-up as the Berry single was #1626 and The Moonglows single was #1629, but its not just an error in labeling the erroneous label itself is an error label with far off-center and discombobulated printing. Even the correct label is misprinted… Notice the off-centering of and his Combo, 1626, etc.. Chuck Berry would be rolling over in a fit of laughter, of course! In his grave if he knew about this doozy! I really think Mr. Berry would have found this to be ironically funny on many levels Roll Over Beethoven When Im With You! The lyrics to the b-side song with the wrong label include: Fall will the night, still I wonder. If I’m the only. The night did fall, and by chance The Moonglows shine their light on an inevitable truth — Chuck Berry wasnt the only. Now he and Beethoven are finally together for infinity. The number 8 represents infinity (the infinity symbol is a sideways eight), and thats the exact number difference, if you rearrange the numbers, in the two mens death dates which were: 1827 and 2017. Both men died in March of those years. Oddly enough, another Roll Over Beethoven single was released in the 60s, with Sweet Little Sixteen on the b-side. Sixteen is two eights, or infinity times two. Notice all the 8’s in the matrix numbers, too. You can never escape infinity, I guess? ! Appropriately, the hosts here are The Moonglows! Berry had his Havana Moon and Beethoven had his Moonlight Sonata. Chuck and Ludwig are an odd couple to be kindred spirits, but theyre forever tied together Roll Over Beethoven is ranked #97 on the Rolling Stone list of the 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time; the single was one of 50 recordings chosen in 2003 by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. If you play this record backwards, it says: Duckwalk with me, Ludwig just kidding, I dont know how to play records backwards? ! Record will be carefully/responsibly packed. Please see my listings for other desirable titles! If youre an exception, all you need to do is let me know and hopefully we can work together! Condition : Records may not function as intended per surface noise, defective playback due to manufacturing defect or scratches, etc. Most records are in scratched condition. See Goldmine Record Album Price Guide, 5th Edition, page 17: Its estimated that no more than 2 to 4 percent of all records remaining from the 1950s and 1960s are truly Near Mint (and the next grade down from Near Mint is VG+, where light scratches are present). It amazes me that the world of record collecting doesnt have an official grading company such as in the comic book field (they have CGC), the coin collecting realm (they have PCGS), etc. Until an official 3rd party industry expert comes along, record grading remains subjective and opinions vary due to parties differences in audio equipment, etc. If you have any questions, need more info, or want to set up a Preview appointment, please feel welcome to message me and I’ll respond in a timely manner. Thanks for your interest, Chris. The item “Chuck Berry Roll Over Beethoven b/w The Moonglows Label, 45 Record TRIPLE ERROR” is in sale since Friday, May 26, 2017. This is an original 7 45 EP of the Misfits. Small crease on lower right corner. Tried to take pics of dead wax etching. Its the real deal. Record is very good plus plus Cover is very good plus. Everything guaranteed to your complete satisfaction. Follow us on Facebook. Like the page to be updated with our news. All of our sales recieve the same quality and attention that we have become known for. All of the items that we sell were manufactured in the U. And are original pressings. If an item is a later issue or from another country, we will clearly mark it in the title/description for that item. Condition is also listed on every item we sell. We use the Goldmine magazine grading system for our records which is the standard grading method in the U. Below you will find clear descriptions of those grading standards, so that you know what condition your item will be in. Here is a break down of the grading we use for our items listed here. MINT (M) These are absolutely perfect in every way. Often rumored but rarely seen, Mint should never be used as a grade unless more than one person agrees that the record or sleeve truly is in this condition. NEAR MINT (NM OR M-) A good description of a NM record is it looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time. In other words, it’s nearly perfect. Many dealers won’t use a grade higher than this, implying (perhaps correctly) that no record or sleeve is ever truly perfect. NM records are shiny, with no visible defects. Writing, stickers or other markings cannot appear on the label, nor can any “spindle marks” from someone trying to blindly put the record on the turntable. Major factory defects also must be absent; a record and label obviously pressed off center is not Near Mint. If played, it will do so with no surface noise. NM records don’t have to be “never played”; a record used on an excellent turntable can remain NM after many plays if the disc is properly cared for. NM covers are free of creases, ring wear and seam splits of any kind. VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) or EXCELLENT (E) A good description of a VG+ record is except for a couple minor things, this would be Near Mint. Most collectors, especially those who want to play their records, will be happy with a VG+ record, especially if it toward the high end of the grade (sometimes called VG++ or E+). VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. There may be some very light ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. VG+ covers should have only minor wear. A VG+ cover might have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom, the most vulnerable location. Also, a VG+ cover may have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking. Covers with cut-out markings can never be considered Near Mint. Very Good (VG) Many of the imperfections found on a VG+ record are more obvious on a VG record. VG records have more obvious flaws than their counterparts in better shape. They lack most of the original gloss found on factory-fresh records. Groove wear is evident on sight, as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. When played, a VG record has surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and ending. But the noise will not overpower the music otherwise. Minor writing, tape or a sticker can detract from the label. Many collectors who have jukeboxes will use VG records in them and not think twice. They remain a fine listening experience, just not the same as if it were in better shape. Ring wear in the middle or along the edges of the cover where the edge of a record would reside, is obvious, though not overwhelming. Some more creases might be visible. Seam splitting will be more obvious; it may appear on all three sides, though it won’t be obvious upon looking. Someone might have written or it or stamped a price tag on it, too. Good (G), Good Plus (G+) or Very Good Minus (VG-) These records go for 10 to 15 percent of the Near Mint value, if you are lucky. Good does not mean bad! The record still plays through without skipping, so it can serve as filler until something better comes along. But it has significant surface noise and groove wear, and the label is worn, with significant ring wear, heavy writing, or obvious damage caused by someone trying to remove tape or stickers and failing miserably. A Good to VG- cover has ring wear to the point of distraction, has seam splits obvious on sight and may have even heavier writing, such as, for example, huge radio station letters written across the front to deter theft. If the item is common, it’s probably better to pass it up. But if you’ve been seeking it for a long time, get it cheap and look to upgrade. POOR (P) and Fair (F) Poor (P) and Fair (F) records go for 0 to 5 percent of the Near Mint value, if they go at all. More likely, they end up going in the trash. Records are cracked, impossibly warped, or skip and/or repeat when an attempt is made to play them. Covers are so heavily damaged that you almost want to cry. Only the most outrageously rare items ever sell for more than a few cents in this condition – again, if they sell.
