Very Rare Original, 4th press STEREO Vinyl LP. Parlophone yellow /black labels, with Dick James Mus. Publishing credits – see pics of labels for details. Year of release – 1963. Parlophone Records – PMC 1202 Mono Parlophone RIM. Side 1: YEX 94-1 / YEX 96-1 Stampers 1/OR. Side 2: YEX 95-1 Stampers 1/M. Vinyl VG / Labels : VG. Side 1 VG has a more prominent hairline and some mild scratch marks and has no jump or skips has little background noise. Side 2 is in VG condition, with some faint, superficial hairlines visible under harsh light. However, the record plays well throughout. To a very good standard, with no skips/jumps, just occasional background on some quieter sections and a little in between tracks. Overall, a very enjoyable listen without major faults, music powerful and clear. Original Laminated Flipback Sleeve /Original “Emitex” inner Ex. The is a rip at the top (see pic) with light creasing and a little edge wear/corner wear. The spine is still completely intact. All text, graphics and colours sharp and strong. The flipbacks are VG Condition. The credit : Printed & Made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. London can be seen in bottom right corner. The inner sleeve is in Ex condition, with no real faults to mention, just a bit of light creasing. All Records Are Strictly Graded To Record Collector Standard, Sleeve Graded First. MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing. The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced. The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. THE BEATLES “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” VERSION 1 VEE JAY RECORDS SR (VJLPS) -1062. “Inroducing The Beatles” is the first The Beatles LP issued in USA!!! Original first pressing, Version 1 “Ad Back” cover, STEREO, released January 10, 1964!!! Authentic “Ad Back” cover variation has miniature color photographs of the covers of 25 Vee-Jay albums, on the back side. The back cover artwork used on this version of the jacket is nothing more than one side of the inner sleeve dust jacket. All “Ad Back” covers were manufactured with front slicks containing the phrase. Running vertically along its lower left side. The stereo covers have the white top banner with STEREOPHONIC centered in grey and the number SR 1062 in black in the upper right-hand corner. Cover was printed by Coburn & Company, an offset printing firm in Chicago. Stereo label has the exact same typesetting and information as mono except that the album number is VJLPS 1062 rather than VJLP 1062 and STEREO appears at 3 oclock below the side number. The trail off areas have the hand etched matrix number 63-3402S and job number 5689 on Side 1 and matrix number 63-3403S and job number 5689-X on Side 2. Both sides have the hand etched date 6-28-63 and initialsA as well as the machine stamped Audio Matrix and MR logos. This record was pressed by Monarch Records , Los Angeles, California. AS SUCH THIS COPY ALSO HAS THE EARLIEST MOTHER STAMPER FOR SIDE TWO OF 1G (EVEN THE BLACK AND GOLDS START THAT SIDE WITH 1R) WITH 1P ON SIDE ONE. Beatles lp Black & Gold Please Please Me Stereo 1st UK press. This is the original first UK pressing of Please Please Me by The Beatles in STEREO 3042 with Dick James credits. The vinyl has only a few light surface marks on either side of the vinyl, and the labels have a few spindle marks, the very rare Ernest J. Printed front laminated flipback sleeve has only a couple of very minor laminate creases to the front cover with minor shelf wear to the bottom edge and the corners are showing slight signs of rounding. There is NO writing, tears, etc. The Matrix numbers are Side 1 – YEX 94-1 and Side 2 – YEX 95-2. On side 1 at 9 oclock it’s an upside down G and at 3 oclock it has an upside down number 1, on side 2 at 9 oclock it has a number 1 and at 3 oclock it has an R stamped into the dead wax area. So it looks like the side 1 label has been put on upside down at the factory, which probably makes this even rarer. The rice paper lined EMITEX inner sleeve is in Very Good condition with NO splits, writing, etc. Both vinyl and outer sleeve held at various angles in Daylight, Sunlight, moonlight, 100W Bulb and Strictly Graded using Record Collectors Grading system. Vinyl; Side 1: VG+ Side 2: VG+. Labels; Side 1: VG+ Side 2: VG+. Sleeve; Front: VG+ Back: VG+ Spine: VG+. The vinyl lies perfectly flat on the turntable. I have just played both sides of the album and despite some crackles and pops mainly between tracks, this easily grades 8 out of 10. All pictures are of the actual album for sale.
