The Beatles – The Beatles – 1968 UK Top Loading Mono Cover No 0000441. Beatles Memorabilia – The Beatles – Double Lp PMC 7067-8. Beatles Memorabilia – The Beatles – Apple PMC 7067-8-1968 Original UK Top Loading Mono Set – Cover Number – No 0000441. This is a complete set with both black inner sleeves, Original lyric sheet/poster and 4 individual prints of The Beatles + the extremely rare photo spacer that came with the very first sets. This Lp is always said to be the “Crown Jewel” or “Holy Grail” of any Beatle collection and finding an original UK Mono pressing with a cover number under 500 is exceptionally rare. The original 1968 first issue, fully laminated top opening, Mono gatefold sleeve in VG+ condition. Two original UK Mono first issue (No EMI Text) vinyl Lps both in VG+ condition. Four Original, full color glossy photographs, one of each Beatle+ Original photo spacer. Original, large format, double sided lyric poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse. Two original matt black inner sleeves in excellent condition minor edge tear on the top and around center circle. And’Mfd in UK’ label text. All four record labels are WITHOUT the wording’An E. Disc 1, Side 1 matrix XEX 709-1 & Side 2: XEX 710-1. Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: XEX 711-1 & Side 4: XEX 712-1. Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 5/OM & Side 2: 7/L. Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 1/A & Side 4: 4/CD. Both discs play very well through all the tracks – no skipping, no popping. Absolutely great MONO sound. Some light hair line marks on the vinyl that does not affect play! The front cover has a few marks as can be seen in the photos. It is great to see that there is virtually no record impression on the front and back covers. There has been some aging of the “White” cover but for the most part it really looks excellent. The laminate is intact although there are areas on the spine where it is beginning to loosen and some discoloring along the left side of the front cover next to the spine. On the spine you can clearly read all the print – The Beatles and Stereo PCS 7067-8 Mono PMC 7067-8. There are a couple of light crease marks in the upper right hand corner of the front cover. Some softening along the top opening but no tears or rips. The back cover has a few minor marks but displays very nicely. Both inside panels look very good. The embossed The Beatles and the record number No 0000441 are very legible. All four record labels are in VG+ or better condition, with very minor spindle marks that can be seen under close inspection. No writing, no stickers. The vinyl on all four sides is in excellent condition. They are still clean, bright and glossy with only very light surface marks from sliding the Lps out of the paper inner sleeve. The edges on the Lp are still nice and sharp. The Lp comes with all four photographs which are in VG+ condition. All four prints are 20 x 29 cos and are printed on the original thick cardstock – No tears, no writing, no pin-holes, no glue or sellotape marks. There are some areas of light wear along the tops from removing them from the cover. The photo spacer is in excellent condition. No tears, no writing, no pin-holes, no glue or sellotape marks. The Lp comes with the original Lip Stick poster / lyric sheet 57 x 87 cos in VG+ condition. No tears or splits, just some light wear on the edges and some light discoloration on the lyric side – No tears, no writing, no pin-holes, no glue or sellotape marks. Both inner sleeves are matt black and are in VG to VG+ condition. Very minor edge tear on the top of one of the inner sleeve and a small tear around the label hole on the other one. Some creases and crinkles as to be expected. Terms of Sale: Satisfaction is Always Guaranteed! Please note: CLAIMS FOR LOST AND OR DAMAGED GOODS MUST BE DEALT THROUGH THE DESIGNATED SHIPPER. HTML Editor – Full Version. Label: Capitol Records RIAA 2. Product Code: T 2108 Black rainbow label. Format: Virgin Vinyl LP – Original Factory Sealed. Discography About The Record. It was the summer of 1964, and it had been a whole three months!!! Since a new Beatles album from Capitol Records — The Beatles’ Second Album, assembled from various sources — had been released to eager U. Fans (and topped the charts). In the meantime, in addition to doing a tour of the U. The group had released their debut movie, A Hard Day’s Night — but the U. Rights to the soundtrack were owned by United Artists Records (that was, in fact, the basis for United Artists’ original interest in producing the movie), which had duly released its soundtrack in late June (and saw it top the charts). Capitol didn’t have the soundtrack rights, but it was allowed to use most of the songs from the film; and as it turned out, the Beatles had delivered as fine a body of songs for the movie as they had for any of their albums up to that point — songs that, as Capitol executives soon discovered, worked just as well in their combination. And so Something New was released about a month after UA’s soundtrack, and if it wasn’t as strong as the two preceding U. Albums, in any other context and circumstance it would have been a contender for best rock & roll album of the year. Grouped alongside the band’s hard-rocking, first-rate covers of Carl Perkins’ “Matchbox” and Larry Williams’ “Slow Down, ” and topped out with their German-language rendition of “I Want to Hold Your Hand” (“Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand”), which probably couldn’t fit anywhere else, the Hard Day’s Night material sounded fine, and few fans seemed to mind paying twice for the songs that overlapped between the two albums. And no one seemed to notice that this is where the 11-song Beatles’ album comes into being, Capitol reasoning out that their material was so strong that they could get away with shaving off one track from the standard dozen, which became routine in the two years of U. Created releases that followed. Actually, outside of the context of the film for which they were written and recorded, the Hard Day’s Night material showed a remarkable growth in the band’s range and sound in just a few months. George Harrison’s 12-string Rickenbacker guitar, which was the group’s biggest sonic innovation in the movie score, was a little reduced in profile without the movie’s title track on hand, but it was still present, as was an unprecedented (for a rock & roll group) reliance on acoustic guitar sounds (“And I Love Her, ” “If I Fell”), and a range of ballads that showed greater emotional depth and seriousness than had been heard from too many rock & roll bands in 1964. I’ll Cry Instead. Things We Said Today. Any TIme At All. When I Get Home. And I Love Her 2:28. I’m Happy Just To Dance With You. If I Fell 2:19. Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand. THE VIRGIN VINYL ALBUM IS STILL ORIGINAL FACTORY SEALED. PASTE ON COVER IS STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK WRAP W/ SOME CORNER WEAR A STICKER. NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER. No cut-out (drill) holes. No saw-marks or indents. No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers). No yellowing from aging. No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover. No glue traces or wax residue. Please use all the pictures to help with the condition. If any questions, please ask! Thank You From Zombie Sounds. Over ten years of grading nearly a million albums, Shuga Records has developed a consistent – and conservative – method for objectively grading the condition of everything we sell. All recordings are visually inspected under high-intensity lights, using our customized grading system. New Sealed Mint (SS). When someone says something’s “Mint condition, ” this is what they’re talking about. The album is sealed in its original packaging and has never been played. This is the highest grade for records that have been played. The album is in excellent condition and shows no visible signs of wear or damage that will affect sound quality. While not flawless, the condition is very good, showing only minimal signs of use. Any visible blemishes should have minimal affect on play quality, though light surface noise maybe present at very quiet portions or between tracks. This is a record that should satisfy all but the most strict of collectors. There may be slight ring or cover wear, or minor writing on the cover. Vinyl may have scratches and/or other visual blemishes, but should play through without skipping or repeating. Light to moderate surface noise and/or crackle may be present, however not overly distracting. Covers may have moderate ring and/or edge wear, cut-outs / hole punches, or a moderate seam splits. Let’s be honest: sound quality is low and the cover may be in very poor shape. We consider any item graded at or below VG- as a LOW GRADE item. We only sell albums rated VG- and above unless a record is so rare that its presence in the collection transcends the poor quality of the vinyl or cover. Operators are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Please leave a message if no one answers. We will get back to you as soon as possible. HTML Editor – Full Version. Label:Capitol Records Mono. Format: Virgin Vinyl LP – Original Factory Sealed. RCA contract pressing with colorband label. Original rust colored Capitol inner sleeve. Discography About The Record. The Beatles released their latest official long-player, Beatles for Sale, in England on December 4 of 1964, capping a year of the most extraordinary activity ever seen on the part of a performing group. Meanwhile, back in the U. Where sales were easily dwarfing the group’s U. Success by sheer weight of numbers, Capitol Records saw no reason to give 14 new songs to the waiting public, especially as they were sitting on one leftover song from the U. A Hard Day’s Night album, and had a current single whose two sides, “I Feel Fine” and “She’s a Woman, ” they could use to promote whatever they released. The result was Beatles’65, issued a little less than two weeks before the start of that year and ten days before Christmas. This was the first U. Album on which the commingling of tracks started to wear on the originals. Beatles’65 was essentially the core of the rather dour Beatles for Sale, punched up with the new single and an offbeat but killer remnant from A Hard Day’s Night. While it all sounded OK and duly topped the charts, the cohesion was starting to get lost; between the acoustic-textured Beatles for Sale numbers and the feedback-laden “I Feel Fine, ” the hard-rocking “She’s a Woman, ” and the somewhat less sharp-edged Carl Perkins covers here, there was less and less method to the compiling for the U. This came courtesy of Dave Dexter, Jr. A Capitol executive who’d had to be ordered to start authorizing the release of Beatles material by Capitol in America (as opposed to passing on it and letting other licensees handle it), and seemingly spent most of the next two years trying to prove how right he’d been to neglect them. The odd thing was that, despite the weak and odd recouplings of songs, the album did sell, and song for song it was still better than anything the competition was creating — as long as the singles were everything they should be, the band was on safe ground. With this and its next release, Capitol was starting to figure out just how valuable each Beatles song was by itself, and how far they could go repackaging them, as long as they retained some measure of common sense. They lost that attribute with the U. Album, courtesy of Dexter, but in the meantime the label did get out flawed if entertaining compilations such as this. I’m A Loser. Baby’s In Black. Rock And Roll Music. I’ll Follow The Sun. I’ll Be Back. She’s A Woman. Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby. THE VIRGIN VINYL ALBUM IS STILL ORIGINAL FACTORY SEALED. PASTE ON COVER IS STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK WRAP W/ SOME CORNER WEAR AND STICKERS. NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER. No split seams No creases No cut-out (drill) holes No cut-out corners No saw-marks or indents No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers) No yellowing from aging No writing No tape No water damage No warping No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover No glue traces or wax residue.
