Ultra Rare’Fresh Maggots’ SF 8205 UK 1st Press 1E/1E RCA Vinyl LP EX-/VG Nice! This is described as one of the most sought after records in the world by many observers. The vinyl is extremely clean, excellent for the most part with just a couple of very minor marks just visible and mostly to do with the known poor quality of the actual vinyl used for these pressings not like RCA! – I have read reports of numerous bubbles being visible on the surviving copies of these however this has maybe only one or two tiny blemishes and may be one of the best pressings that existed! The sound is loud, clear, dynamic and very fresh see what I did there! With just some noise from the pressing between tracks or at the end and then the odd pop when in play. This plays of hifi quality and there will be no upgrade needed from this You would struggle to find one to upgrade to! The sleeve is very good indeed, intact, glossy, great edges, nice spine with some unevenness and two instances of clumsy sticker removal. There is ring-wear to the purple rear of the sleeve that is typical of these. There are critical photos taken so please look carefully, this is a very low-hours record and this shows in the pictures. Picture 11 shows the opening edge.. The sleeve does look quite uneven on earlier photos (see picture 2) however looking at it on picture 11, a direct shot of the opening edge, it is clear that this is only mild. The sticker removal damage has left small areas where the surface print is missing, this can clearly be seen on the photos. There are some telltale fingernail indentations that can be seen in reflected light evidencing where the sticker has been scraped off. Not a great job and might have been better left.. However there it is.. It’s not that bad and the sleeve still looks very good indeed for the most part. Overall this is a great record. Super-rare, a great investment, with fine vinyl that is not far off Excellent and a tidy sleeve with some issues but has many strengths such as great edges and spine and great gloss! All records are play-tested by real humans so you have our expert ears at your disposal! Also all our records are professionally cleaned prior to posting to maximise their playback potential! Please see the following grading guidelines which I use to grade all media: Items will be described in the following order: Media/Cover i. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. CD’s are similarly graded though the Jewel case is disregarded in grading. The grading applies to the media and the insert. Cassettes will simply be described in their playing condition and are all tested. All records are sent out in twin wall’Music Max’ mailers with double stiffeners and will arrive safe and sound! I have some super-rare Beatles stuff coming up and all kinds of other great, rare and interesting records for sale. PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED i. OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP. LP side 1 is VG+/VG++ with just one scratch on the second half that can be lightly felt but is audible almost exclusively to the quiet 30 second introduction of the last song (“3, almost 4, 6 yea”). Side B is VG/VG+ with a tiny mark (you have to look very hard to see it but it’s there) around one third of the way through the first song (“TUTA in the Moya”) that can be heard for around 4 or 5 revolutions and one surface scratch on song 2 (“Three tons of fresh thyroid glands”) that can be lightly felt but is barely audible. Cover is VG+ with a small, very light stain in the top left hand corner on the front only and a bit of ring. This is NOT a reissue, this is the real deal. This particular copy is a misprint and has a side 1 label on BOTH sides, making it one of the rarest in existence. Notice in photos 6 & 7 where the center hole aligns differently with the “R” in Boris. There were a mere 300 copies of this mythical LP pressed privately in Portage, Indiana back in 1975 and far fewer survive today. Of the remaining surviving copies even fewer still were misprints. I have scoured the internet for any evidence of another one of these mispressings to surface and have come up completely empty. Only 10 original copies of this LP have EVER surfaced and those were all standard copies but a genuine misprint? Most likely one of a kind. This will most assuredly be a once in a lifetime chance to ever own one of these pieces of Prog royalty. This is the kind of unique item that will show up in Record Collector magazine’s Most Wanted feature for thousands of dollars if it is ever offered for sale in the future. If you’ve never heard this LP find some sound clips and you will understand the reason why this LP is talked about with a hushed reverence amongst proggers and psychers alike. The arrangements and musicianship on display are on par with the legends. What was in the water in Portage, Indiana back in’75? All reasonable offers considered. I USE GOLDMINE GRADING. NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED. VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE. VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL. VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS. GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE. POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. The item “VG+ Yezda Urfa Boris LP ULTRA RARE MISPRINT-BOTH SIDE 1 LABELS! PROG HOLY GRAIL” is in sale since Sunday, August 12, 2018. This item is in the category “Music\Records”. The seller is “verdessence” and is located in Chicago, Illinois. This VINTAGE VINYL LP ALBUM is by the BEATLES titled BEATLEMANIA on CAPITOL records MONO label #T-6051. This vinyl is in VERY GOOD condition with SOME SURFACE HAIRLINES and the jacket in EXCELLENT VG++ CONDITION. THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL FOR BEATLES COLLECTORS. THIS RECORD VARIATION WAS SAID NOT TO EXIST WITH THE GREEN CAPITOL TARGET LABEL. THIS ITEM IS PLAY GRADED AND HAS AT LEAST 10X BETTER SOUND QUALITY THAN THE ORIGINAL 1963 VERSION. AS MENTIONED THERE ARE SOME HAIRLINES AND SCUFFS ON THE VINYL AND HAS SOME FAINT BACKGROUND EFFECT BETWEEN SOME OF THE TRACKS. BUT DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THE MUSIC ITSELF AS THERE ARE NO LOUD CLICKS OR POPS ANYWHERE. THE COVER IS CLEAN BRIGHT WHITE, NO SPLIT SEAMS OR WRITING ON THE COVER. In 1969, Capitol changed their logo to the round target logo; they also created a new target label design for the occasion. This label was lime green and was used until 1971 where it was then replaced by the similar red target label. All the Capitol Beatles albums were reissued on this label, except for The Beatles Story and the three 6000 series albums. Capitol Records, T 6051, released November 25, 1963. Capitol Records, ST 6051, released 1978. NOTE: no mention of this 1969 green target label ever released. I’M GRADING THESE UNDER A HALOGEN LIGHT, SO YOU CAN BE ASSURED THESE ARE IN CONDITION STATED. THESE ARE CONSERVATIVELY GRADED. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY; These records are all from an uncle who was a very avid record collector who has amassed this collection over a 40 year period. Music was his passion and remember going to his home and many would be displayed on walls and had his whole garage a collage of record covers and 45’s. Drove my aunt crazy. He would go to garage sales, thrift stores, record shows and bring these home by the box fulls. All genres of music are in this collection so there is something for everyone, his only criteria, it needed to be in exceptional condition. He has said it is time for these to go so that others may enjoy what he has enjoyed for the past 40 years. There are over 40,000 records plus 10,000 45’s in this collection most if not all in the VG+ to Near Mint condition. There are a few that are rarer and in lesser condition, but will be indentified as they are listed. These will be listed for some time so visit often. THE GRADING; FACTORY SEALED UNOPENED RECORD… WOULD BE ASSUMED TO BE MINT. MINT PRISTINE, HAS NO SPINDLE TRAILS AND APPEARS JUST LIKE IT CAME OUT OF THE JACKET FOR THE FIRST TIME. WILL HAVE ALL ORIGINAL GLOSS, AT WORST POSSIBLY A LIGHT SURFACE SCUFF UP TO MINT UNPLAYED. VG++ OR VG+++ RECORD… THIS IS A RECORD WELL TAKEN CARE OF, PLAYED LITTLE, BUT MAY SHOW A SCUFF OR HAIRLINE OR TWO ON EACH OR EITHER SIDE, BUT WILL NOT HAVE ANY FEELABLE SCRATCHES. THIS RECORD WOULD BE ASSUMED TO PLAY IN THE STATED CONDITION. VG+ RECORD will HAVE A FEW MORE SCUFFS OR HAIRLINES AND MAX ONE FEELABLE TOTAL. GOOD OR VG RECORD WILL HAVE NUMEROUS HAIRLINES AND A SOME FEELABLES. THESE CAN BE EASILY BE GOOGLED. The item “Ultra rare BEATLES 1969 vinyl lp BEATLEMANIA yes the green target label” is in sale since Sunday, June 9, 2019. This item is in the category “Music\Records”. An ultra rare factory sealed UK first pressing of The Beatles’ Let It Be box set. If you’ve read this far, you probably know that Let It Be was originally released in the UK by Parlophone in a box with a perfect bound book documenting the making of the album. When found, Let It Be box sets are rarely in optimal condition. The inner tray that held the book in place are usually torn or otherwise flattened. The pages of the book often came loose as well, so it’s very difficult to find a copy in truly mint condition. This example is in its original very thick factory shrink wrap and the box is in near mint condition. There are some small tears and fraying to the shrink wrap as can be seen in the photos, and a faint number 8 (likely the original price) written on the shrink wrap, but the box is in solid Near Mint condition. There is a small bit of lamination creasing to the bottom front center of the box, and as can be seen in the photos, light wear to the corners where the shrink wrap has split. But this copy is by far the cleanest we’ve seen, and obviously unplayed. Some copies had an Apple Records poster inside, but we have no way of knowing whether this one does. An extremely rare UK factory sealed UK 1st press Beatles album with Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity. We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible, and spot check any vinyl flaw that looks like it might make a sound. We just grade accurately, describe any flaw, and sell only high quality rare records in fine condition. See our other listings for more from this fantastic collection. Recordmecca’s clients include the Smithsonian Institution, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Experience Music Project, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Victoria & Albert Museum. Recordmecca’s Jeff Gold was named by Rolling Stone as one of 5 Top Collectors of High-End Music Memorabilia. He authenticated previously unknown Bob Dylan manuscripts for PBS’s History Detectives, appeared as a featured appraiser on VH1’s Rock Collectors, and has been profiled as a top dealer and collector in the books Vinyl Junkies and Retromania: Pop Culture’s Addiction to it’s Own Past. Gold is author of the acclaimed books Total Chaos: The Story of The Stooges/As Told By Iggy Pop; and 101 Essential Rock Records: The Golden Age of Vinyl a survey of seminal rock albums, featuring contributions from David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Johnny Marr and Graham Nash.
