Sadaka “Premonition” CREATIC CR-001 (USA) LP is an original pressing. PRIVATE afro-centric/spiritual modern jazz out of Oakland, Ca. Executive producer: Larry L. Holt w/Rasul Siddick on trumpet and Heshima-Mark Williams on bass (The Pyramids). The vinyl is in VG++ condition with a few light sleeve marks, plays great. The textured cover is in VG++ condition with no seam splitting or writing, does have slight corner bumps. Cleaned on a VPI record cleaner. Vinyl is EX/EX – a couple light crackle bits of surface noise on side 2 track 1 – a really nice listen overall. Label is in great shape with only extremely light marks. Cover is great overall, with a bit of ring wear as you can see, and a bit of corner rubbing. Nice enjoyable copy of a classic Strata-East LP. Up for grabs is a simply amazing lp that I’ve held on for quite sometime, but finally have to let this one go! This is an amazing self-titled private press spiritual jazz/funk afro percussion monster of an lp by E. S AFRICAN ROOTS OF JAZZ (AROJ RECORDS 1001, 1981). If you want to check out this lp’s majesty just search for it on YouTube by typing “E W Wainwright, Jr (Usa, 1981) – African Roots of Jazz” and be absolutely blown away! Jacket is in NM condition; almost all the shrink-wrap is still on the jacket (has been opened/played, but not much) — some of shrink-wrap is peeling up near jacket opening — minor corner dings where jacket is exposed. Vinyl is in VG+ to VG++ condition. Vinyl is super clean/shiny — close to NM, but being conservative! SOUNDS OF LIBERATION Khan Jamal Byard Lancaster mindblowing spiritual afro funk. You can view all of this week’s. We pay top dollar for quality records. These guys are KILLING IT. Most of the super rare jazz/funk records have a good track or two, and generally arent worth all the fuss. This one beats all of them, hands down. It is far superior to Uncle Funkenstein and John Heartsman, in the same league as the Worlds Experience Orchestra or. Southern University Ensemble Goes To Africa With Love, but better. Ask every top dealer or collector that you can find copies known to exist number less than 10. It has never come up on discogs. Originally pressed in a minute quantity. Keeping it in your watch list will not add it to your collection! Cover: VG Inscribed and Signed by Byard Lancaster. You can see a 2nd inscription across the top in the first picture, and then the one with Lancaster. S signature is in the last picture. Some light background crackle at times, some small scratches that tick a few times. 1 spot toward the end that crackles loudly for about 6 rotations. Plays through fine on my VPI and my Music Hall, which was used to make the mp3. Side 2 has a few more issues but is mostly awesome. Still in the background. During the free jazz solo sax portion, it skips in 1 place. Ll hear in the mp3 right around the 30 minute mark. Also, around the 44 minute mark, theres another skip during a solo conga part. These are likely fixable I didnt want to touch it too much. A blistering, relentless, gorgeous session that is unmatched. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. This is illegal and we could go to jail! Our grading scale: NM/EX/VG+/VG/VG-/G+/G/POOR (see below for details). All records are visually graded under multiple bright lights. All records are vintage and not recent reissues, unless specified otherwise. The plural of vinyl is vinyl. The record looks basically new. There are NO hairline scratches, NO marks of ANY KIND. Some records (especially recent pressings on 180g vinyl) come new with spots of discoloration, for which we do not downgrade. I do not use NM+ or NM-, only Near Mint. As soon as we see even the slightest, faintest line, the record is no longer Near Mint but rather goes into this category. An Excellent pressing can have a handful of light marks. Only inaudible light scuffs. This grade should be considered close to perfect. When a record has more than a handful of light marks, it goes into this category. More marks and light hairlines are acceptable here. Nothing that will cause repeating ticks or looks like it will cause consistent background noise or anything like that. A VG+ record will satisfy most collectors. The record can have quite a few hairlines and maybe a few scratches. There will likely be some noise, but it should play through and be very enjoyable. Fine for parties and casual listening. Definitely noticeable surface noise. Likely will play all the way through without skipping on a standard turntable with a properly set-up arm/needle, but may not. More and deeper marks and scratches, consistent noise, possible skips. We rarely offer records in this condition. This is 1 step above POOR, which is basically unplayable but will be desirable if its rare enough. Its a wall hanging, looks good on a shelf, maybe you have a cover and need the record or vice versa. Again, we rarely sell these. _gsrx_vers_818 GS 7.0.10 (818).
