The Lucifer Rising Suite Rare 4 LP Box Set Bobby Beausoleil Kenneth Anger Aleister Crowley Occult Art Music Film Score. The Lucifer Rising Suite. Media – Near Mint cond (only played once). Cover – Near Mint (no wear to the box, album covers are all like new, but all have splits on the spines, as shown in last photos). Four LPs each with full-colour artwork housed in a spectacular looking sturdy box with a large sized, 4 page (folded poster) booklet with pics and essays by Dennis Dread, Bobby Beausoleil and Michael Moynihan. Superbly produced box set, with amazing occult inspired artwork – both on the box and each of the record covers. Contains the soundtrack score used in Kenneth Anger’s. Film, as well as other material recorded by Bobby Beausoleil & the Freedom Orchestra, during. Sessions, between 1976 & 1979. Lucifer Rising I, 1967. Dance Of The Fire Demons. Note : As stated above, the vinyl records are in mint condition – they have only been played once. The box, and LP covers are all like new, but the album covers all have splits spines, as shown in last two photos. This seemed to have happened with most copies that were produced, and appears to have happened because the heavy vinyl discs were placed into the covers, without any inner sleeve. I gather this was because the covers were considered as elaborate inner sleeves – they all feature art work, but there is no text, or titling on any of them. So the box was the true record cover, and the records were housed in these beautiful printed card sleeves. In transit, without an added plastic sleeve, the heavy records would have moved back & forth, causing the sharp edge to cut into the spine – and this has happened with all four of the sleeves. THIS IS IT, POSSIBLY THE BEST COPY OF THIS SUPER RARE PREP SCHOOL GARAGE BAND THAT WAS LIMITED TO 500 ORIGINAL COPIES AND MOSTLY HANDED OUT TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HAILING FROM THE PHILLIPS ACADEMY IN ANDOVER MASSACHUSETTS, THEY WERE DESCRIBED AS THE “THE MOST FAMOUS UTTERLY OBSCURE ROCK BAND IN AMERICA” BY THE WASHINGTON POST. THIS IS SOLID GARAGE WITH SOME PSYCHEDELIC TENDANCIES WITH SOME FANTASTIC ORIGINALS WITH HAUNTING VOCALS TO OUTRIGHT SNARLING. PLENTY OF GREAT GUITAR WORK AND FUZZ IN THERE TOO. THEY MASTER SOME COVERS TOO AND ABSOLOUTLY NAIL “BABY PLEASE DONT GO”. OBVIOUS MARKS OF FLAWS TO VINYL OR COVER WILL BE NOTED. NM NO SIGN OF PLAY, NO GROOVE WEAR AND DEFINITELY NO SCRATCHES. THIS WAS SEALED AND PLAYED ONCE TO GRADE AND THIS IS THE ONLY PLAY ITS EVER HAD. IT HAS THE FAINTEST OF WISPY LINES AND LIGHT IMPRESSION PRINTS UNDER BRIGHT LIGHT AND THE SOUND IS FLAWLESS, I COULDNT HEAR ANY BGN AT ALL, JUST CRISP CLEAR MUSIC ALL THE WAY THROUGH. THE VINYL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL HIGH GLOSS. THE LABELS ARE CRISP AND NM, THERE IS NO SIGN OF WEAR. EX OR MAYBE A TOUCH BETTER. TIGHT SHRINK WRAP ALL AROUND WITH NO TEARS OR RIPS ON THE COVER, SEAMS AND SPINE ARE CLEARLY SOLID AND FREE FROM ANY SPLITS OR CHIPPING. THERE IS SOME VERY LIGHT CORNER WEAR FROM STORAGE AND A SMALL SPLIT IN THE SHRINK ON THE BOTTOM OPENING, ORIGINAL PAPER INSERT SLEEVE. THIS IS A STUNNING COPY IN AMAZING CONDITION FOR A 50+ YEAR OLD RECORD THAT JUST NEVER TURNS UP. POSSIBLY THE BEST COPY ON THE PLANET! DEAD WAX MATRIX A. BBA-3571-A 28-4 5-67 K-1085. Holy Grail! The Rising Storm-Calm Before-Original Prep School Garage 500 Pressed

The Rising Storm Calm Before Original Prep School Garage Moody Rarity Remnant label, 1967. Only 500 pressed for students of Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass 1967. Condition: Cover is strong VG, intact, no split seams, some corner wear, seam wear, ring wear. Record is naturally worn, Side One visually VG- with lots of lite scuffs that do not effect play, plays strong VG. Side two is visually VG, with a few lite scuffs, plays VG+, the number 50 written on label with grease pen. This record plays and sounds much better than it looks due to the great recording studio and pressing of the LP. This record was found in a thrift shop near Boston for the low price of 50 cents during the mid-80s by a girlfriend of a local Boston punk / garage rock recording artist. I have owned this LP since the mid 1980s and have enjoyed many years of listening to this LP and must admit that this is one of the few LPs that helped save me during hard times of growing up in my late teens and twenties.
