Notes: Complete with book, inner sleeves & drawer, slightest of dings on 2 left corners, 5 inches of pending top seam cloth splits on back of box, overall exceptional condition. Note: Double LPs, box sets, etc. I don’t use this grade. A near perfect, probably unplayed record. Close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don’t affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to VG+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector. A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice. Here is an extremely fine example of the Beatles MFSL Box set. This collection includes 14 long play records with Geodisc and color booklet of Beatles album artwork. The records are in superb condition. I only could find one minor mark on all 28 sides.. It is on Yellow Submarine but it is extremely light small surface.. It will not be heard. The box is superb.. The set includes all original inner sleeve, and protective sleeves. This is an outstanding example. I will pack it carefully and insure the unit. Vinyl LP Record Boxset. Cover/Sleeve Grade: 7 (VG+). LP/Vinyl Grade: 8.5 (NM-). Label Grade: 8 (EX). Other Notes: 1995 US Boxset with All Inserts. The mono mixes of the songs were done at a different time and are different than the stereo mixes. This mono release was simultaneous with the release of the stereo version. Tower Records altered the songs on the album from the original British release to include their single See Emily Play, and dropped the songs’Astronomy Domine’,’Flaming’ and’Bike’ from the record. Also, names of the songs’Pow R. , and’Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk’ are misspelled. Thanks for shopping at our Classic Vinyl store! We use a combination of the industry standard Goldmine Grading Scale as well as a 1-10 scale to ensure a clear and accurate account of each albums condition. Cover/Sleeve Grading applies to OUTER SLEEVE ONLY. If the original Inner sleeve is included it will be shown in the photos. THE SCALE IS AS FOLLOWS. Pristine, Looks as if it just came off the manufacturing line, also listed as New, Mint Sealed/Unopened. 9: NEAR MINT (NM). Looks as if it just came from a store and was opened for the first time, maybe played a few times if ever, no evidence of play or wear whatsoever. Also listed as VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS (VG++), LP may have a faint surface mark or two barring it from being truly Near Mint, but sound quality will not be affected at all, cover sleeve is just short of Near Mint, often used for cover sleeves in Shrink, or with no ringwear or staining or easily visible flaws whatsoever, seams and spine fully intact. 7: VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+). 6: VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD PLUS (VG/VG+). Mono Vinyl Box Set. The Beatles in mono: This is how most listeners first heard the group in the 1960s, when mono was the predominant audio format. Up until 1968, each Beatles album was given a unique mono and stereo mix, but the group always regarded the mono as primary. THE BEATLES IN MONO VINYL BOX SET is released in mono on fourteen 180-gram vinyl LPs with faithfully replicated artwork, newly mastered from the analogue master tapes. In an audiophile-minded undertaking, The Beatles’ acclaimed mono albums have been newly mastered for vinyl from quarter-inch master tapes at Abbey Road Studios by GRAMMY®-winning engineer Sean Magee and GRAMMY®-winning mastering supervisor Steve Berkowitz. While THE BEATLES IN MONO CD boxed set released in 2009 was created from digital remasters, for this new vinyl project, Magee and Berkowitz cut the records without using any digital technology. Instead, they employed the same procedures used in the 1960s, guided by the original albums and by detailed transfer notes made by the original cutting engineers. Working in the same room at Abbey Road where most of The Beatles’ albums were initially cut, the pair first dedicated weeks to concentrated listening, fastidiously comparing the master tapes with first pressings of the mono records made in the 1960s. Using a rigorously tested Studer A80 machine to play back the precious tapes, the new vinyl was cut on a 1980s-era VMS80 lathe.
