East Side Story LP Series Vol. We’ve had this series before but never in this nice of shape! All but one are in shrink and none have writing on them. All were play tested and play without any problems. I did record them when they were play tested, if you’d like a digital copy of the files, please let me know. Below, each cover and record are graded. Grade Scale – M, NM, EX, VG, G, F. Cover – EX, in shrink, slight bend on bottom left corner. Cover – NM, in shrink. Record – EX, would be “NM” but it does have a bowl warp. On our rubber mat, it played fine. If it slips for you, put a heavy 45 adapter on it, problem solved. How did a Wisconsin chair company, producing records on the cheap and run by men with little knowledge of their audience or the music business, build one of the greatest musical rosters ever assembled under one roof? Paramount Records was founded on a modest proposition: produce records as cheaply as possible, recording whatever talent was available. Over its lifetime, the label would become a race records powerhouse, its sound and fortunes directly linked to the Great Migration.
