Side 4 has one hairline, about 4.5cm long, across 3 tracks, does not affect playback, very light. Labels are clean no writing. Sleeve condition / great condition / vg due to spine split of lamination +- 6cm from the top, general shelf wear corner ding. Here is the holy grail of Iron Maiden records it is the Trooper uncut test pressing for the cut to shape picture disc. What makes this uncut version of Trooper special is that it is the very first pressing with the full V cut in the top corner of the picture, it truly is a gem and the rarest of all uncuts. This first uncut version was released in tiny quantities maybe 15-20 making this the holy grail, most if not all are now in the hands of collectors and this version may never be for sale again. The record has a bit browning on the clear part of the vinyl due to age, this is not caused by negligence but a natural chemical reaction between the vinyl and the plastic sleeve it was placed in, this was very common during the 70s and 80s with the type of plastic used to make the vinyl it is known as tea staining. Lots of picture discs and clear vinyls made in that era will have this tea staining, it just proves its originality and shows what a great piece of Maiden history this record really is. I’ve been collecting vinyl records for years but it’s now time to clean my collection up. This is limited to just 1,000 copies and it’s just the second record that was pressed by Dischord Records. This a legendary milestone of hardcore. Vinyl record has no particular signs on itself (I’d grade it Mint-) and cover is MINT- too. I’ve been owning this for almost ten years and I’ve never played it , but I obvioulsy can’t guarantee previous owner(s) didn’t play it. While going through my collection of 45 RPM records that I have owned since the mid 1960s I stumbled onto another near mint copy of a very rare Larry Allen Record. This copy has never been played as far as I know. I did play test it and did hear some very minor noise at the start of “Can’t We Talk It Over” and also at the very end. Center hole appears to be slightly off center. Every copy of this record that I have seen has the same off center defect. I also hear some of the same noise on the other side. The original pressings were not produced at a state of the art pressing plant. As far as I can tell this was the first and only time this copy of the record was ever played. The record appears to be near mint. No apparent scratches or scuff marks. There is no writing or stains on either side of the label. I’m the first and only owner. I have kept it safe in my possession since 1965. I received the following feedback from a recent purchaser of one of my other copies of this very rare and hard to find original first pressing. When the record was released in the US the Somewhere There is Paradise cut was the A side. Only after this record found it’s way to the UK did the B side become a mega hit. I can attest that this is a very rare first pressing of Larry Allen’s record. I was a friend of Larry Allen when I was living in Western Pennsylvania USA in the 1960s and he gave me some copies of his record. This original first version has Larry Allen spelled out on the label. There are not many great copies of the original pressing in 1965. I actually witnessed Larry Allen singing his record live at a high school in Washington Pennsylvania. I was part of his supporting stage crew and DJ. Based on the snippet below there may only be 100 or less original first press copies of this record in existence. Snippet of information interesting.. Larry Allen was from Greensburg, PA. Jerry Reed, who owned the label, had 1000 copies pressed. 500 as Larry Allen and 500 as L. It was released in the fall of 1965. Jerry got frustrated because the record didn’t sell and at the time he had an old car that he was junking, and he threw around 900 copies of the record into the trunk to be crushed and remelted. BEATLES 1966 STILL SEALED MONO FIRST STATE BUTCHER COVER LP GORGEOUS! Beatles – Yesterday And Today (Capitol). 1966 mono original “First State” “Butcher” cover LP. This one never had the second (trunk) slick pasted over it. This is an UNOPENED Los Angeles issue (factory #6 on back cover). There are three “breathe holes” detectable in the front shrink wrap and one on the back. This sealed copy has a 1 1/2″ separation in the shrink wrap at the opening, where the yellow Capitol inner sleeve is clearly visible and another 1/4″ separation just below it.. Corners of cover are slightly “pushed” and the bottom right one is slightly worn. These issues are listed here for completeness, but they do not take away from the overall beautiful condition of the cover, which is very displayable.
