BEATLES BUTCHER COVER 3RD STATE PROFESSIONAL PEEL WithREMOVED TRUNK SLICK & MORE
Beatles Genuine 1966 Butcher Cover Professionally Peeled. We recently have had requests for a displayable cover that won’t break the bank. This is a Butcher Cover package that includes the removed trunk slick. Additionally, you will receive a Certificate Of Authenticity and an additional package of cool freebies related to the Butcher Cover that you will find nowhere else. Please see the description section for specific condition details. Nearly all offerings seen on the net including ones claiming to be “mint” , show up with visible damage to the Butcher image. This is not the case here! This example showcases a gorgeous peel with a first state look. Gorgeous and vibrant colors. This presents right up there with any jacket we have offered in the past with just a few minor condition issues but still easily rates in the top 5% regarding quality of any peeled Butcher Covers offered for sale. Capitol factory pasteover glue lines are very light on this. Please check out the up close photo for the great detail of this peel. Seams and spine are not too bad on this. No large splits and just a few small spots of rub wear/remediated beginning cracks on the bottom and top seams. Only amounts to a few inches total and nothing too severe. Likewise, the spine is decent with some average cracking throughout and a little over a half an inch of paper loss at the very top which takes out the Y in “Yesterday”. Other than this , most of the printing is legible. Back of the jacket shows average wear and soiling and a few areas of torn paper which indicates that this album was displayed at some point in its second state stage. Again, these are very common condition issues on these jackets. A previous owner must have pinned this album up on a wall or display at some point as there are two small pin holes on the album , one on the left side on the top white border and another on the right at the point where the Butcher Slick edge meets the white border. Other than these very minute issues, this is a really nice example. The trunk slick is included is the exact slick that was peeled from this jacket and exhibits some wrinkling, remains of a name in red and also the same matching pinholes that the Butcher Cover exhibits. Trunk slicks in one solid piece are not all that common in the peeling field. It should be emphasized that Butcher Covers of this quality and grade are highly desired by collectors and are genuinely scarce in this condition. This item is an original 1966 3rd State (Peeled) used example of the legendary Butcher Cover. This item is guaranteed to be authentic and not a reproduction or bootleg. Given the fact that this item has been professionally peeled and altered from a 2nd state (unpeeled) condition to a 3rd state (peeled) example, this item has condition elements that reflect the process of treatment of the item when it was glued at the Capitol factory in 1966 as well as conditional elements from the actual peeling process. These elements generally involve mild glue lines that were made at the pressing plant when the trunk cover was pasted over but also include some minor issues from the removal process. This is not a new item but a used one that has been restored through a tedious and careful process. We have contributed to television/radio shows, collectible books and have displays in many of the best record guide books including “The Price Guide For The Beatles American Records” By Perry Cox and Frank Daniels. In other words, we don’t send our Butcher Covers out to others who provide peeling services but actually supervise all work that is performed on the Butcher Covers that we sell. Our COA reflects not only the authenticity of the item but the actual chain of custody regarding the 2nd state cover and the peeling process. We offer professional packing and you will receive all items packed in archival quality crystal clear resealable sleeves. Thanks and Good Luck! The Beatles – Yesterday And Today – Vinyl LP Record. Cover/Sleeve Grade: 7.5 (VG++). LP/Vinyl Grade: 9 (NM). Label Grade: 8 (EX). Other Notes: 1966 Genuine 3rd State (Peeled) Stereo # 2 (Scranton) Butcher Cover with Certificate of Authenticity. ALL Unsealed Records are Ultrasonically cleaned using our KLAudio KD-CLN-LP200 Ultrasonic Record Cleaner to provide you with the BEST Quality Sound! Thanks for shopping at our Classic Vinyl store! We use a combination of the industry standard Goldmine Grading Scale as well as a 1-10 scale to ensure a clear and accurate account of each albums condition. Cover/Sleeve Grading applies to OUTER SLEEVE ONLY. If the original Inner sleeve is included it will be shown in the photos. THE SCALE IS AS FOLLOWS. 10: MINT (M), Pristine, Looks as if it just came off the manufacturing line, also listed as New, Mint Sealed/Unopened. 9: NEAR MINT (NM), Looks as if it just came from a store and was opened for the first time, maybe played a few times if ever, no evidence of play or wear whatsoever. 8: EXCELLENT (EX), also listed as VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS (VG++), LP may have a faint surface mark or two barring it from being truly Near Mint, but sound quality should not be affected at all, cover sleeve is just short of Near Mint, often used for cover sleeves in Shrink, or with no ringwear or staining or easily visible flaws whatsoever, seams and spine fully intact. Writing may be present on label. 4: VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-), in our shop typically only going to be seen on a cover sleeve for a significantly rare album that is in extremely bad shape, lots of splitting etc, yet is still worth owning due to its rarity. We will likely never offer albums with a Vinyl/LP grading of 4. WE LOVE GREAT VINYL AND HAPPY CUSTOMERS!!! Thanks again and keep on rockin in the free world! Beatles Butcher Cover Genuine 3rd State Mono Peeled Yesterday And Today
Beatles Authentic Peeled Mono 3rd State Butcher Cover. Beatles 1966 Genuine Scranton 3rd State (Peeled) Mono Butcher Cover. It’s fairly hard to find a presentable example in this price range these days…. A respectable specimen for a 50 year old 3rd state (Peeled) jacket with some common condition issues. This is a guaranteed original 1966 Capitol 3rd state (peeled) mono Butcher cover. This cover is neat because it is one of the jackets where you can actually see some of the bench that John is sitting on. This is not seen on all mono jackets and never seen of stereo covers due to the stereo banner at the top. The good news is that this is a very presentable peel. Not like most you see with large tears and damage to the Butcher Slick. Top seam has several inches of repaired splitting which has been confined mostly to the left hand side. Spine has also been neatly repaired and is missing some print and paper here and there. The words “And Today” and “The Beatles” are still present. Bottom seam appears to have several inches of cracking near the mouth opening which has also been neatly repaired. Not really unusual wear for a jacket of this age. The back of the jacket shows light to average wear/tanning with some staining. Please examine photos for specific condition. Removed Trunk Slick will be included as seen in shredded condition. There is an Capitol 1966 inner sleeve and the mono record that came with this will be included in what appears to be poor (whipped) condition (not play graded and not guaranteed to not skip or play badly).
