It may have a cut out hole indicating that it was taken out of print. There may be a little graffiti on the sleeve or label. Record: Will show signs of play but has been well looked after by the previous owner. It may show a few more light marks/scuffs than a NM. These marks won’t be deep enough to be felt. Slight warps are that don’t effect the sound are OK. Sleeve: A VG sleeve will have many of the defects found in a EX but more pronounced. Seam splits may be more obvious or may be taped or show residue. There may be small rips. Laminate may be bubbled, may be marred with writing. Record: Wear and defects will be more obvious with marks/scuffs deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Groove wear will be more noticeable. Sound deterioration and surface noise will become more likely especially during quieter passages. We don’t sell records with a lower grade than VG unless it is incredibly rare. In order to find out about the exact condition of the media and sleeve please refer to the grading table and abbreviations explaination below and read the following notes. Qualitätsbeschreibung / Zustand von Tonträgern (Our media and sleeve Grading System). + or – indicates a deviation of the quality to the better or the worse. The record is in new condition with no surface marks, etc. The cover is in perfect condition. The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessing in sound quality. The cover is almost perfect without wear and/or creasing. VG+ = very good + = guter Zustand. The vinyl has minor visible marks that do not affect the sound, the sleeve has only minor signs of use but no serious damages. VG = very good = akzeptabler Zustand. The record has obviously been played many times before, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. The cover shows normal wear and tear without any major defects. G = good = schlechter Zustand. The sound quality of the record has deteriorated significantly, but it plays all the way through without repeating or skipping. The cover has tears, spots, marks and other damages. F = fair = sehr schlechter zustand. The comment “needs cleaning” indicates that the record is dusty, has been played wet, got wet or has any other dirt on the vinyl that has to be removed before it can be played. Der Kommentar “cover has to be glued” bedeutet, dass der Originalkleber sich gelöst hat, ansonsten ist das Cover nicht beschädigt. The collection, the box, and the contents are in great condition. More pictures are available upon request. Please ask if you have any questions. The serial number for this set is #4901. It’s very rare to find such a low serial number. I have tried to take a couple sample pictures of the records to show the pristine quality of the actual record. Please note the light shining off the records, is simply light reflection. The records have been well kept and are in excellent condition, but there is some minor wear from age on the sleeves and covers. Each record is housed in a poly sleeve within a cover and then the actual album cover. There is a geo disc with a cover in excellent condition. It can be shown in a picture upon request. The following is from Wikipedia. The Beatles: The Collection is a vinyl boxed set of every Beatles album until’82 remastered at half speed from the original stereo master recordings, except for Magical Mystery Tour which was mastered from Capitol Records’ submasters with the last three tracks in rechanneled stereo. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) pressed a second run of the Beatles Boxed Set for a total production run of 25,000 over the next two years or until October 1985. Each album was pressed on black vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan. The album covers were replaced with photographs of tape boxes and log sheet. The original album covers were included in a booklet which also featured a certificate of authenticity as this was a limited edition collection. Missing from this collection were all of the Beatles’ singles, extended Play and a few miscellaneous tracks that did not appear on their original UK albums. It is for someone who will appreciate the rich history and value of the offering. T hanks for stopping by! By the time the Capitol Records released Yesterday And Today , the Beatles were in hot water in America. The record was released just after John’s infamous interview in which he stated that the Beatles were “bigger than Jesus”, which angered Americans and provoked many bans on their music and public incinerations of memorabilia. But Yesterday And Today would take public dispproval to a whole new level, as the original cover featured the band in butcher’s smocks with baby doll parts and raw meat covering them. The record was pulled almost immediately – creating an instant collector’s item – and in the confusion that followed, several replacement covers were issued. Songs on the album were taken from the’leftovers’ of the British release Rubber Soul as well as the single/B-side “Yesterday/Act Naturally” released on the UK version of Help! , the single/B-side “We Can Work It Out/ DayTripper”, and three songs which had not, at that point, been released in the UK: “I’m Only Sleeping”, “Doctor Robert”, and “And Your Bird Can Sing” (which all wound up on the UK version of Revolver). CONDITION : The cover : rated: “EX” (excellent) / M- TOP LEVEL… The front “Butcher” cover is magnificent – crystal-clear with no imperfections! Overall as the photos show, the front & back panels are GREAT – all things considered see photos – appearance in hand is exactly like what is presented in the photos here. Most peeled butcher copies will show at least more wear, tears and imperfections to the cover slick. This copy makes makes for a fantastic display-worthy (framed) wall hanging, total greatness with no wear to the front cover! The 4 individual Beatles faces in their butcher glory are spotless clean , a rarity for even the best Butcher covers. The spine is solid – in tact and legible (per photo)… Again, far and away better than the “usual” original Butcher cover offered. A GRAND addition to any valuable collection…. Solid peeled Butchers covers like this are very scarce with most copies are safely tucked away in private collections. No split seams, no tears or rips, no writing, no delete marks, overall in reasonable acceptable investment condition – ask any further pertinent questions please. Beatles 3rd State (Peeled) Mono Butcher Cover. This is a first time offering and this package includes a prime example of the Butcher Cover with its removed Trunk Slick, mono record, inner sleeve, COA and free packet of Butcher related info. This is an awesome offering due to the quality of the peel and the overall quality of the complete package as a whole. Combined with the removed trunk slick, this would make a great candidate for framing. The peel is equally as nice and this presents as well as nearly any jacket we have offered in the past. Most of the peels offered on the internet have noticeable large tears or other serious damage to the Butcher slick, but not the case here. This is a gorgeous peel. Borders are nice and generally white with only mild tanning. Overall, this is a solid jacket with light wear and decent seams and spine. The top, bottom seams and spine on this are complete with just a teeny 1/8 chip of missing paper at the very bottom of the spine. The spine printing is present with just a little cracking/checking and light wear to the spine. The back of the jacket is fairly clean with little wear and light tanning. No names, big tears, large stains or other problems with the back. This one’s a keeper! Please see photos for confirmation of all of these specific condition descriptions. Comes with an original goldenrod colored 1966 inner sleeve. A nice Scranton mono record in VG+ visual condition is included. Nice labels on the record with some minor superficial sleeve scuffs and scratches and name written on side 2 of the record. The trunk slick is included and in condition as shown in framable condition with some light wrinkling/wear and tear. Also included in this sale is a Certificate Of Authenticity which certifies not only the authenticity and chain of custody of the item, but a certification of the peeling process. It should be emphasized that Butcher Covers of this quality and grade are highly desired by collectors and are genuinely scarce in this condition. This item is an original and genuine 1966 3rd State (Peeled) used example of the legendary Butcher Cover. This item is guaranteed to be authentic. Given the fact that this item has been professionally peeled and altered from a 2nd state (unpeeled) condition to a 3rd state (peeled) example, this item has condition elements that reflect the process of treatment of the item when it was glued at the Capitol factory in 1966 as well as conditional elements from the actual peeling process. These elements generally involve mild glue lines that were made at the pressing plant when the trunk cover was pasted over but also include some minor issues from the removal process. This is not a new item but a used one that has been restored through a tedious and careful process. We have contributed to television shows, collectible books and have displays in many of the best record guide books including “The Price Guide For The Beatles American Records” By Perry Cox and Frank Daniels. In other words, we don’t send our Butcher Covers out to others who provide peeling services but own and supervise all work that is performed on the Butcher Covers that we sell. Please note that the item that you will receive is exactly as seen in the photographs. As seen in the photos, this jacket doesnt lay 100 flat as a result of the peeling process and the fact that it is stored without a record inside the jacket. This is fairly common and does not significantly detract from the fantastic look of this 3rd state. Although the seams and spine are better than the average jacket, we strictly advise against placing a record and inner sleeve inside the jacket. The item “BEATLES BUTCHER COVER GORGEOUS 3RD STATE WithREMOVED TRUNK SLICK, RECORD AND MORE” is in sale since Tuesday, May 28, 2019. This item is in the category “Music\Records”. Beatles 45 ANNA / ASK ME WHY Spec. DJ No. 8 RAREST Vee Jay PROMO

Beatles 45 ANNA / ASK ME WHY Spec. DJ No. 8 RAREST Vee Jay PROMO
“ANNA / ASK ME WHY”. Approximately 4 “AUTHENTIC” Copies Worldwide! This is by far the RAREST Beatles Record EVER! It’s value is more than originally thought! This is a “ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY”. There are so few of these “PROMOS” in existence, it’s. Quite doubtful you’ll ever see another one of these in your lifetime. Serious BEATLE collectors have contacted. Us about this item because it is so RARE. “MAKE A BEST OFFER”! In addition to marketing their EPs , as a single and lowering it’s price, Vee Jay resorted to promotional tie-ins. With various food products to further generate sales. They granted permission to certain companies to use the. BEATLES SOUVENIR RECORD as a premium as a special offer. This idea was a bust! But 2 of the songs on. Their EP (I-903) , namely ANNA (written by Arthur Alexander – 1962) with ASK ME WHY written by J. McCartney, were paired on an extremely rare PROMO SINGLE designated Spec. 8 by Vee Jay. The label on this record is similar to the BLUE & WHITE for EP (I-903) as well as VJ-581 Please Please Me/. From Me To You & VJ-587 (Do You Want To Know A Secret / Thank You Girl). It’s trail off areas contain the MR Logo indicating that this Styrene Disc was manufactured by MONARCH. As only a few MONARCH invoices to Vee Jay have ever been discovered. The timing & purpose. Of this single remains a mystery. Because this 45 contains ASK ME WHY , which is the song featured on the. PROMO TITLE SLEEVE , it’s been speculated that this record was used as part of Vee Jay’s midsummer blitz. To market the EP as a single. Supporters of this theory point out that the record is assigned Spec. And that the PROMO Title Sleeve calls the record a… Containing the phrase “#8 IN SALES”. While similarities between Spec. 8″ and “special D. Appear to support the theory, trail off markings are inconclusive. The trail off markings of the ASK ME WHY side contain the Master # 63-2968 and Job # 46527-X the. Same numbers that appears on the B-Side of VJ-498. The trail off markings on the ANNA side include the. Correct Master # 63-3185 and Job #. MONARCH assigned this Job # to the. Song in either late. January or February of 1964. Thus, this record could have been pressed as early as February of 1964. If that’s the case, this item had no relationship to the marketing the EP as it would have been made several. Months prior to the midsummer campaign to plug ASK ME WHY. Because only a half dozen or so copies of. This record have ever surfaced (all in LA) indicates that it was never widely distributed like a typical promo. DJ designation on the label sets this disc apart from all other PROMOS. Mystery of this 45 is the fact that there are no other 45s confirmed with a Spec. This is by far the RAREST “BEATLES” 45 ever made and continues to be a mystery as to why Vee Jay had. Ever produced it in the first place. So if you’re looking for AUTHENTIC. Versions of this and other RARE vinyls , or a source for any BEATLES Vinyl Records or CDs.
