THE BEATLES “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES” VERSION 1 VEE JAY RECORDS SR (VJLPS) -1062. “Inroducing The Beatles” is the first The Beatles LP issued in USA!!! Original first pressing, Version 1 “Ad Back” cover, STEREO, released January 10, 1964!!! Authentic “Ad Back” cover variation has miniature color photographs of the covers of 25 Vee-Jay albums, on the back side. The back cover artwork used on this version of the jacket is nothing more than one side of the inner sleeve dust jacket. All “Ad Back” covers were manufactured with front slicks containing the phrase. Running vertically along its lower left side. The stereo covers have the white top banner with STEREOPHONIC centered in grey and the number SR 1062 in black in the upper right-hand corner. Cover was printed by Coburn & Company, an offset printing firm in Chicago. Stereo label has the exact same typesetting and information as mono except that the album number is VJLPS 1062 rather than VJLP 1062 and STEREO appears at 3 oclock below the side number. The trail off areas have the hand etched matrix number 63-3402S and job number 5689 on Side 1 and matrix number 63-3403S and job number 5689-X on Side 2. Both sides have the hand etched date 6-28-63 and initialsA as well as the machine stamped Audio Matrix and MR logos. This record was pressed by Monarch Records , Los Angeles, California. IN ORIGINAL SEARS BAGGY (INSANELY HARD TO FIND SHRINK). LP on vinyl record. Meets all the criteria of an authentic Ad Back + 1st press vinyl with album title above the spindle w/ oval. Original pressing featuring. Love Me Do’ and’P. S I Love You’ which were later changed a month later. The very first run of 6000 front cover slicks says’Printed In U. A’ on the lower left hand corner near the spine. “LONGPLAYING” and “MICROGROOVE” labels with album title above spindle. Clean labels and shiny vinyl. General surface wear with no major issues. Side 1 has an extremely lightly feelable hairline on the last 2 tracks but barely affects play because the music overpowers the occasional light crackle. Fair amount of wear can be seen under a bright light, but plays really well. ORIGINAL SEARS BAG IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. The edges are basically NEAR MINT with close to no wear at all (fully legible spine). The shrinkwrap bag is tight but can be slipped off with a little force. Jacket has mild fade and light ring wear which can be seen on the front mostly. Check out our other items!
