Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon LP UK Original Apr74 Ex/Vg+ A3/B3 No Rim Text
February 22, 2024 by admin
An original Apr 1974 copy – Matrix A3/B3. Lovely heavy-set early pressing – means you have deep grooves and are not far from those pristine masters. And many listeners are pretty much in agreement that bang4buck… This is the best copy of Darkside out there. How do we know it’s from Apr74? Because Emi dropped the Gramophone text in the perimeter at this time. And as they were attempting the re-design the 1st copies left the factory with no rim text… Quite a remarkable cock up! .. Hard not to see why these copies are so sought after. And look at how well those labels are preserved – highly unusual on any copy let alone one from early’74. The vinyl comes housed in an original. Substantial gatefold cover – unlike later flimsy replicas. Left panel glued shut forming a nice solid panel. There’s an original generic white original inner from the time. No posters or stickers. Well worth having a serious think about it, . Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light use. Look at the labels! Also see the camber at the edges of the label… These copies are solid pressings! Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slightest marks per side – nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback…. With slightest deviation in one spots per side. Intros and inbetweens are nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. The first sign you’re onto something enticing is when you hear those initial heartbeats with a clean background… Packed with clean analogue goodness. This badboy is locked and loaded. Expect nothing more than some faint presence noticeable in one brief passage per side. This record is acing it. High class and difficult to put down! We can add in a black inner if you’d like one.. Cover (Vg+) Really well preserved. The rear is looking good too. Some slight edge wear in places – and has been tidied up with sharpie. But it is looking pretty dapper! The interior is looking superb. Spine is above average. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Inner (Vg+) some ageing. Please check out my other BEATLES LP’s for sale..
