This is a very rare and unusual test acetate from the mastering studio that was made for the 7″ cut on a 10″ acetate. The condition of the acetate is very good +. A very rare Jam / Paul Weller collectable! Please note :- Studio Acetate records are cut on a machine for test purposes, and the recording surface is soft. Repeated playing decreases the sound quality and there will be a bit of a hiss / noise. This is no fault of the engineering; acetate records were not designed for constant repeated use. 2x LP / 12/ 10 are charged as per additional items. Welcome to my listing. Here I have a copy of. There’s No Home For You Here’ &’Ball & Biscuit’ (live). On the uber rare limited edition original UK clear vinyl 10 test pressing in paper die cut sleeve with white paper labels. Released on XL Records XLT181 in 2003. The etched matrices are XLT 181-A-1 & XLT181-B-1. This is the definative’holy grail’ for White Stripes / Jack White / Third Man & record collectors which has been documented in articles but very rarely seen or offered for sale as only a few copies were manufactured! There’s even a video of the 10 record being played on you tube! This the only ever official White Stripes 10vinyl single that has been pressed but never commercially released! After a very few test pressing copies were produced the 10 single release was then cancelled! This withdrawn UK test pressing stands firmly alongside the Quarrymen acetate, the Sex Pistols A&M single, Velvet Underground acetate as one of the most prized and sought after records from modern pop culture! The condition of the record is excellent – (has a few very light hairlines but overall plays through fine with a very light pop on the B side at 2.12). The die cut paper sleeve has creasing & ringwear. The labels are clean with no spindle marks. RIAA 16 on back cover. Red gold award printed on front cover. Red labels with the Purple target. Stamper: ST1-2553-B8 / ST2-2553-B8 #2. Offered is an extremely rare issue of The Beatles “Yesterday”… This is the Red labels with the Purple target variation. In May of 1971 Capitol Records began issuing albums on the newly designed Red label variation. The first two Beatles albums Capitol received pressing orders for were “Revolver” and “Yesterday”… Almost immediately the pressing of these two albums abruptly ended when Apple Records announced that they were going to re-issue all Beatles albums on their label. At that point there were an unknown number of “Revolver” pressed and probably only about 100 of Y&T pressed. The actual pressing numbers for these two albums is still a mystery to this day! What IS known is that in May of 1971 Capitol Records unintentionally created an extreme rarity by halting the pressing of “Yesterday”… And Today in mere double digit numbers. The first documented copy of this Y&T gem was discovered in 2006 and is listed in Frank Daniels and Perry Cox’ Price Guide, published by Bruce Spizer. Amazingly, this happened 35 years after the pressing date! Actual item pictured, not a stock photo. When someone says something’s “Mint condition, ” this is what they’re talking about. The album is sealed in its original packaging and has never been played. This is the highest grade for records that have been played. The album is in excellent condition and shows no visible signs of wear or damage that will affect sound quality. While not flawless, the condition is very good, showing only minimal signs of use. Any visible blemishes should have minimal affect on play quality, though light surface noise maybe present at very quiet portions or between tracks. This is a record that should satisfy all but the most strict of collectors. There may be slight ring or cover wear, or minor writing on the cover. Vinyl may have scratches and/or other visual blemishes, but should play through without skipping or repeating. Light to moderate surface noise and/or crackle may be present, however not overly distracting. Covers may have moderate ring and/or edge wear, cut-outs / hole punches, or a moderate seam splits. Let’s be honest: sound quality is low and the cover may be in very poor shape. We consider any item graded at or below VG- as a LOW GRADE item. We only sell albums rated VG- and above unless a record is so rare that its presence in the collection transcends the poor quality of the vinyl or cover.
