Up for sale is a high quality 78 rpm record collection. I will list them and you will see some very valuable rare records as well as many semi rare ones. Many of these have a beautiful original gloss with little to no marks on the surface. There will be just a couple with a small hairline crack. Only a few will grade VG or worse. Most will grade in the E range. Some closer to NM and some VG+ Some of these look unplayed but may need a good cleaning to remove any dust as they are very old. Due to the rarity I will not attempt to clean them and risk damage. I would like to sell these at once rather than piece them out. If this collection is something you would be interested in feel free to make an offer but please be reasonable. These are nice grade rare records, not badly scuffed up ones. Up for sale is a collection of around 720 vinyl records give or take a few. The collection is mainly classic rock, psych, and progressive rock. Lots of great titles like Zappa , beatles, grateful dead, sabbath, doors , hendrix, ELP, moody blues, queen, as well as many obscure titles Lots of value and rare titles. You will also find some country, punk, new wave, jazz, blues, funk, and hip hop/techno but not much. You wont find any classical, big band, comedy, Spoken word, or bands like carpenters, Streisand, Manilow, neil diamond, john denver and such. You will find bands like Fleetwood mac Bowie Bob Seger Asia Ratt Bryan adams Flock of seagulls Inxs Blondie America Boston ZZ top U2…… Around 200 pics These were acquired through record shows, personal collections, yard sales, and other sources. The vinyl conditions will range from VG to NM. Overall VG+ is a fair grade. Anything less than VG was weeded out but there maybe just a couple we disagree on. The jackets will also vary. You will probably find an even mix of nice clean jackets to ones with flaws like split seams , writing, and paper loss. A few will be missing Original sleeve. I think overall you will be pleased. You will find that many of the rare titles actually look pretty good. There are way more VG+ and better records than VG. Just keep in mind you will find VG records meaning visible scratches and you will find Jackets that have obvious flaws. This would be a great lot for the collector/reseller. Also great for local stores. Lots of valuable records. No cherry picking so please don’t ask. Not in a hurry to sell. The Misfits – Cough / Cool b/w She 7 single – Blank Records, Blankety Blank Music A / B 102 1977. I listed this single earlier in the year on behalf of a friend. He had acquired it from a family member and whilst we knew this person collected records we were not sure if this was of any value. I received a number of requests from interested Ebayer’s and all seemed to think it was original & a highly collectible single. We decided to take it to a local record shop (Sound it Out Records – Stockton) to confirm its authenticity & value. I have tried to provide photographs that show the sleeve & record (in good condition). The photographs taken of the inscriptions on the run off of the A Side – A 101 Rich (underlined) Spectrum Bklyn NY and B Side – B102 Rich (underlined) were not visible but have recorded them above for reference. So here it is, listed again, hopefully for the last time. Happy to answer any questions, provide additional photographs or organise viewings if required. Vinyl Condition – solid (not translucent), plays well without any skips or jumps. There are faint scratches visible but these do not interfere with play or sound quality. Sleeve – there are faint visible creases on the front of the sleeve (as original photographs). There is ring imprint visible but not wear. The sleeve is not marked as a result of the record imprint. There is a small split on the bottom of the sleeve & one side. No attempt has been made to repair, ensuring it is still original & un-tampered. Since we have had the record the vinyl has been removed from the sleeve preventing any further affect. Generally I would class as in good condition, the slight imperfections are far less than would be expected of a record of it’s age. I have added additional photographs to detail the above.
