Nearly 20 years ago, Led Zeppelin introduced BBC Sessions, an acclaimed two-disc set of live recordings selected from the band’s appearances on BBC radio between 1969 and 1971. The Complete BBC Sessions is an updated version of the collection that’s been newly remastered with supervision by Jimmy Page and expanded with eight unreleased BBC recordings, including three rescued from a previously “lost” session from 1969. In addition, the set includes extensive session-by-session liner notes written by Dave Lewis. For the first time ever, it provides accurate details and notes about all of the band’s BBC sessions. Musical highlights on this new collection include the debut of a long-lost radio session that has achieved near-mythic status among fans. Originally broadcast in April 1969, the session included three songs: “I Can’t Quit You Baby, ” “You Shook Me, ” and the only recorded performance of Sunshine Woman. ” Also included are two unreleased versions of both “Communication Breakdown” and “What Is And What Should Never Be. Separated by two years, the performances vividly demonstrate the young band’s rapid evolution over a short period of time. Led Zeppelin Turquoise 1st Pressing Their Debut Album

Rare first pressing of Led Zeppelin’s debut UK album in 1969, featuring “Led Zeppelin” in turquoise letters over the Hindenburg explosion. With the Atlantic plum and red record labels, showing the “Superhype Music” and “Jewel Music” credits, subsequently changed to Warner Bros. First issued in a laminated sleeve, as shown here, and also with original inner sleeve. It’s believed that fewer than 2,000 copies of the turquoise album left the plant before the lettering was changed to orange, a last minute decision by the band and their manager Peter Grant. Uncorrected matrix numbers stamped on run-out groove read “588171 A//1 112″ and “588171 B//1 93″. Some creasing to album cover, and a few surface scratches to vinyl, causing clicking on a few songs. Standouts include a 25-plus minute version of Dazed And Confused and a 21-minute medley based around Whole Lotta Love. The performances also capture the band introducing songs from it’s then-unreleased album Houses Of The Holy, which would be released nine months later. Led Zeppelin III is the third studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was recorded between January and August 1970 and released on 5 October by Atlantic Records. Composed largely at a remote cottage in Wales known as Bron-Yr-Aur, this work represented a maturing of the band’s music towards a greater emphasis on folk and acoustic sounds. This surprised many fans and critics, and upon its release the album received rather indifferent reviews. Although it is not one of the highest sellers in Zeppelin’s catalogue, Led Zeppelin III is now generally praised, and acknowledged as representing an important milestone in their history.
