Prince The Black Album Still Sealed Original US Pressing Only 8 Known Copies

Prince – The Black Album – Warner Brothers – 9 25677-1 – 1987. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own 1 of the rarest LPs ever made. There are only 8 copies known to exist. In 2016 a former Warner Brothers employee discovered a box that contained an additional 5 copies that were sent to him as sample records, bringing the total known population to 8. The original US version of The Black Album, however, is much more rare than either of those pressings. CONDITION: The album is still sealed in its original form and simply contains an Explicit Lyrics stickers on the front and a UPC sticker on the back. The album is presumed to be in mint condition and has never been opened. The shrink has several “breath holes” in it and the cover’s corners are sharp. 1 is from the former Warner Brothers employee that made the discovery in his home in 2016. The 2nd is from Record Mecca in California, the owner of which oversaw the 1994 commercial release as senior vice president. BEATLES 1966 STILL SEALED MONO FIRST STATE BUTCHER COVER LP GORGEOUS! Beatles – Yesterday And Today (Capitol). 1966 mono original “First State” “Butcher” cover LP. This one never had the second (trunk) slick pasted over it. This is an UNOPENED Los Angeles issue (factory #6 on back cover). There are three “breathe holes” detectable in the front shrink wrap and one on the back. This sealed copy has a 1 1/2″ separation in the shrink wrap at the opening, where the yellow Capitol inner sleeve is clearly visible and another 1/4″ separation just below it.. Corners of cover are slightly “pushed” and the bottom right one is slightly worn. These issues are listed here for completeness, but they do not take away from the overall beautiful condition of the cover, which is very displayable. First state butcher covers are extremely rare and sealed examples rarely are offered for sale. A fantastic example of an extremely rare record. Includes Rockaway Records Letter of Authenticity. This First Press LP is still factory sealed with the hype sticker on the front of the shrink. Manufactured by Capitol Records. Inside this album should have the two 20″ x 30″ posters and four stickers that are unpeeled. This LP has a gate fold open cover and should have the lyrics on the inside. Genre: Rock Comments: Still factory sealed original rainbow label mono first pressing in pristine time capsule condition. Recently unearthed in an attic storage box under several blankets. Shrink is fully intact with original breathe holes. Please see the extra photographs for details – extra photos available upon request. 100% guaranteed to be a still factory sealed original mono pressing. Condition / Grading Definitions. We do so as if we would be purchasing the record ourselves. SS = Still factory sealed. A Record that has never been opened and is still sealed in the original factory shrink wrap. M- = Near mint. Our highest grade for an opened record. The record may only have been played once or twice, or the previous owner was very meticulous in how they handled it. Vinyl is extra clean and shiny with virtually no signs of wear. Cover is also very clean appearing and well preserved. EX = Only slight signs of wear; still very clean, with a few very light surface marks which won’t distract from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear and will still be in strong collectible condition. This grade should still satisfy most demanding collectors. VG+ = Shows some signs of being used, but has still been well cared for. It may have light surface wear and a little record noise at times such asduring soft passages. Overall it should still play well. Cover may have some wear or light ring wear but does not have any serious damage or defects. VG = A more used record with some overall wear and light marks in the vinyl. There should be no skips while playing the record. Cover will have some wear, seamwear, ring wear, or a price sticker.
