The Victims were formed in Perth in mid 1977 with James Baker on drums, Dave Flick(Dave Faulkner) on guitar and vocals and Rudolph V(Dave Cardwell) on bass guitar. (Baker and Faulkner went on to form The Hoodoo Gurus). Only 1000 copies of Television Addict were pressed by the band in 1977. Issued in Australia, this rare 7 OOP Single by the Victims and features 2 tracks. “Flipped Out Over You”. Made in Australia in 1977 by the band themselves MX-46814, this record comes in a white paper sleeve and is in MINT MINUS condition. Please note this rare item must be sent via Registered Post. Most collectors will know this is possibly the RAREST and most COLLECTABLE stock single released by the band. It is quite unfathomable why it was it released in AUSTRALIA, as no singles were released in Europe from The Velvet Underground until 1971.. Bar the USA, Canada was the only other country to release the debut single. What makes this copy extra special’SPECIAL’ is most 1960s 45s you will find from anywhere in the world, will be badly beaten up from being piled up on Automatic Record Players of the day (plus singles were kept mostly outside the flimsy paper record sleeves giving no protection to the grooves) – This is probably the only copy you will EVER find in more or less PRISTINE (almost’time-warp’) condition. It even comes with a MINT 1966 AUSTRALIAN’VERVE’ SLEEVE! It has spent most of the last “50 YEARS” locked away in a collection, amongst other records that all were almost certainly NEVER played.. This is an RARE opportunity to have in your collection, one of the most ICONIC singles in near perfect condition. PLEASE NOTE : There is no doubt this 45 will retain, if not INCREASE in value. Has the all important serrated edge and matrix A2/B1 with 7284 scratched twice on Side 2. Condition of the record is remarkable with side one just having the slightest of very minor paper scuffs from being taken out of inner sleeve. Played once and it sounds fantastic. Any questions please ask. I will even go to the extent of recording the record being packed, posted and collected via the courier so that there can be no dispute re the record that is sent.
