She never met the guys, but her friend’s father knew them and hence she received a very nice gift for a young girl in the 60’s! I saw a contract online between The Doors and Elektra Records from 1970 — you might want to look at that too. She said she got rid of a bunch of her records when she was moving from Florida, so obviously this was one of them and I guess she forgot that this special one was in there. How it made it’s way up to me in NJ — I have no clue, but I’m happy it did and happy it survived the swingin’ sixties! Thank you for understanding. Huge 5,000 12 LP Record Lot Classic Rock VG+ 60+ Beatles 50+ Rolling Stones

The vast majority of the collection consists of rock and roll albums in VG+ condition recorded throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, with a main focus in 60s and 70s rock. The most represented artists being The Rolling Stones (50+ albums) and the Beatles (60+ albums). Approximately 300 artists/bands are represented in the collection, many which are listed below under the Artists/Bands section below. See the Open House/Record Viewing Section below for more details. Previous Sales of Records Chosen at Random from this Collection. The records and sleeves range from Fair to Mint/Sealed, with the vast majority of them graded in the VG+ (Very Good +) category, see Goldmine Record Grading Standards. There are numerous factory sealed records scattered throughout the collection. Many of the records have unused posters, pictures, and literature that came with them from the factory. Almost all, if not all, play. In person this collection is stunning, every time you pull a record and think wow how is a 50+ old record in such good condition, you pull another even nicer one. The History of the Collection. My Father grew up in the late sixties early seventies, and throughout his life he collected records. He was a music enthusiast and loved rock and roll. His favorite band was The Rolling Stones. Unfortunately he passed away in 2014, and my sister and I inherited his record collection. Since that time we have safely stored the records. If I pulled an album that happened to be sealed I would post it on its own, which did happen multiples time. Therefore, we have decided to sell the entire collection with this post. The collection consists of 5000 12 LP vinyl records (about 67 linear feet, at 75 records per feet), Seventy-five percent of the collection is in artist name alphabetical order. The vast majority of the collection is rock and roll from the 1960s to the 1990s, with a large focus in the 1960s and 1970s lets face it 60s and 70s rock roll is the best! There is also a limited number of other genres including pop a lot of Michael Jackson, Elton John, etc. , country, classical, and soundtracks, but well over 90% is rock and roll/classic rock. If there was a popular rock band in the 60s or 70s, it is almost certainly in this collection, period. The Most Represented Artists in Collection. The Beatles take first place with well over 60 albums (possibly substantially more, this is a low estimate) many with unused posters and pictures, including a high VG+ White Album w/ Poster and Pictures and high VG+ Abbey Road Original Master Recording, see the pictures. The Rolling Stones take second place following closely behind the Beatles with well over 50 albums (possibly substantially more), many with original unused posters and pictures. Other artists substantially represented with multiple albums are: Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Doors, Alice Cooper, Led Zeplin, Metallica, The Beach Boys, CCR, Crosby Stills & Nash, Eric Clapton, Buffalo Springfield, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Aerosmith, The Ramones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Frank Zappa, Queen, Prince, Def Leopard, GNR, U2, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Alanis Morrissette, the list goes on and on. However, the following strict rules will be enforced, violation of any of which will result in the violator being asked to leave. 1 Any factory sealed record shall be treated with EXTREME CARE and shall not be opened. No record shall be placed back out of alphabetical order. 3 Records, posters, literature, and inner sleeves, may be removed from outer sleeves with EXTREME CARE, and must be placed back in the outer sleeve in the exact configuration as removed with EXTREME CARE. Anyone seen mishandling a record, sleeve, poster, or literature will be asked to leave with no opportunity to explain the situation or offer any excuse, NO EXCEPTIONS. 5 No record shall be removed from the viewing or collection room. No large bags are permitted in the viewing or collection room. 6 Extreme care is to be used if test playing a record. 7 Additional rules will be announced at the open house which shall be strictly enforced. 1500 vinyl record lot classic rock zeppelin zappa floyd

Up for sale is a collection of mostly classic rock records. There will be a few hip hop, soundtracks country , classical, and jazz records included but they are ones that typically sell well. I did my best to leave out any filler music like Neil Diamond , Streisand, Manilow, john denver, Christmas, spoken word , comedy, cheap unwanted jazz , country, and classical music. I know its somewhat subjective about what titles and artists are cheap but I think you will be pleased. As stated, its mostly classic rock anyway. Over all condition is pretty good. Many have original sleeves and some with posters but you will find some that do not have original sleeves or jackets that have some sort of wear. Either paper loss, split seams etc. The vinyls for the most part are VG+ and better but you will find some that will grade in the VG range so dont be surprised if some have light scratches. I made a strong effort to leave anything out that does not grade at least VG but there may be a small handful we may disagree with. A lot of these vinyls will grade NM so you will be getting a pretty clean lot over all just expect some to grade VG. There’s a lot of value in this collection. Up for sale is a collection of around 720 vinyl records give or take a few. The collection is mainly classic rock, psych, and progressive rock. Lots of great titles like Zappa , beatles, grateful dead, sabbath, doors , hendrix, ELP, moody blues, queen, as well as many obscure titles Lots of value and rare titles. You will also find some country, punk, new wave, jazz, blues, funk, and hip hop/techno but not much. You wont find any classical, big band, comedy, Spoken word, or bands like carpenters, Streisand, Manilow, neil diamond, john denver and such. You will find bands like Fleetwood mac Bowie Bob Seger Asia Ratt Bryan adams Flock of seagulls Inxs Blondie America Boston ZZ top U2…… Around 200 pics These were acquired through record shows, personal collections, yard sales, and other sources. The vinyl conditions will range from VG to NM. Overall VG+ is a fair grade. Anything less than VG was weeded out but there maybe just a couple we disagree on. The jackets will also vary. You will probably find an even mix of nice clean jackets to ones with flaws like split seams , writing, and paper loss. A few will be missing Original sleeve. I think overall you will be pleased. You will find that many of the rare titles actually look pretty good. There are way more VG+ and better records than VG. Just keep in mind you will find VG records meaning visible scratches and you will find Jackets that have obvious flaws. This would be a great lot for the collector/reseller. Also great for local stores. Lots of valuable records. No cherry picking so please don’t ask. Not in a hurry to sell.
