My record collection is taking over my home, HELP! I’ve been collecting records since 1986 when I first heard Licensed To Ill by the Beastie Boys and fell in love with music. Through the 1990s record collecting hit a low point in North America as the CD format was introduced to the public and digital took off. You could walk into almost any thrift store and have your pick of records for 25 cents a pop. I never stopped collecting vinyl as my preffered format for music listening and as a result of this I bought a LOT of records during the 1990s (and still do). As a result over the years my personal collection of records has gotten massive. About 10 years ago I got to over 10,000 records and decided I needed to do something about it since they were taking up way too much space and I didn’t really have the time to listen to most of them anyway. As a result the bulk of my collection was boxed up and has been sitting in storage untouched, until now! I’m a full on anal retentive record collecting geek. I was careful to regularly change needles on my turntable. As well I had a pet free and smoke free home. You are getting them from a fellow record collector who has the same passion for collecting as you do! However I have decided to clear out the used records that have been pilling up for almost 30 years now. I will be running no reserve auctions with a 99 cent starting price on thousands of records. Here is some of the feedback we’ve been receiving from our first round of auctions. LP in terrific shape, packed superbly and sent FAST! A great deal done well!!! Record grading is not an exact science and one persons VG+ can be another persons NM and so forth. SLEEVE CONDITION: I have decided not to take the time to grade the sleeves since as they say’a picture is worth a thousand words’. Up for sale is one awesome record collection. It has it all. Colored vinyl, splattered, serial number, original press, new issues , rare issues, lots and lots of high end titles and the best part is no filler like Barry manilow, Carly Simon, Linda Rondstat , John Denver etc etc. Death cab for cutie. All but 40 of the records made the pics but you can expect similar titles with the remaining 40. These are in nice condition. Some of the older jackets may show wear but all the vinyls will be vg+ and better with the majority being Ex. Truth and Janey No Rest For The Wicked LP Montross VG+ Hard Rock Heavy Iowa

Vinyl = VG+ (close to EX playing it safe) Cover =. SS = brand new, sealed M- = near mint, or unplayed condition. Cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. = minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs and NO Scratches. Will not distract significantly from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear, and is still in nice collectible condition. VG+ = vinyl still has a great luster, record shows wear, surface scuffs. But the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. A virtually clean cover, but may have small writing on it. The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of the cover usually gives away the age of the cover. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow yet no stains or mildew from water damage. VG = overall wear, but no skips of serious defects, more noisy sound during quiet passages. Cover may have drill hole or tears, usually with heavy ring wear. VG- = heavy wear on record and cover. Guarantee does not apply to vg- or worse condition records. May have scotch taped seams. P = Poor or Rough condition. Can still be used for framing. SEALED King Crimson In The Court Of The SD 8245 Hype Sticker Prog Rock Record

Get Vendio Gallery – Now FREE! Secondhand Record Album For Sale. Item : In The Court Of The Crimson King by King Crimson. It’s still sealed but the shrink is opening and ripped. The reissues from the 70’s turn up still sealed sometimes, but they have a different catalog number (SD 19155), so you can spot them easily. Since we can’t examine the record (the value would be destroyed if it were removed), the most important thing here is the sticker on the back from E. This is their ca. Please research that and see for yourself — the stickers from the 70’s are completely different in terms of shape, font, color, etc. Where the shrink is ripped on the back, I’ve felt the cover texture — it’s matte and textured like art paper but of course heavy (it’s a gatefold cover by the way). One reason why fans may want to pick this up is that the British release on the Island label was messed up because of misaligned recording heads, and they corrected this as best they could for the American release on Atlantic. Please see my listings for other desirable titles! If youre an exception, all you need to do is let me know and hopefully we can work together! Condition : Records may not function as intended per surface noise, defective playback due to manufacturing defect or scratches, etc. Most records are in scratched condition. See Goldmine Record Album Price Guide, 5th Edition, page 17: Its estimated that no more than 2 to 4 percent of all records remaining from the 1950s and 1960s are truly Near Mint (and the next grade down from Near Mint is VG+, where light scratches are present). Loaded RARE PSYCH PROG classic Rock Vinyl Record Collection lot Pink Floyd NICE

I see collections asking much more per title and not even close to being as nice. There are around 2800 records in all and its loaded to the hilt with rare psych, hard rock, prog, classic rock, jazz , blues , and reggae. Some bootlegs and rarities There’s just too many good records to picture all of them. Around 30 pink floyd records , 30 zeppelin records , 75 beatles records, lots of queen , kiss , rush etc. I would say half the collection consists of psych and prog rock. Bands like Grateful dead King crimson Gentle giant Mahogany rush Zappa Ultimate spinach. Thats around 1400 records of nothing but prog and psych rock A velvet underground Andy Warhol album. Sticker is still intact but not perfect. Still a very valuable record. Hundreds of imports from UK , Holland , Germany , Netherlands , and more. Mostly Original or early press. Lots of good classic rock as well. Condition wise I would say 70% of the collection the vinyl grades in the EX -NM range. About 25 % in the VG+ range and about 5% will grade less. The majority of the pink floyd , zeppelin , beatles etc grade VG+ and much better. There’s only a small handful of records that grade worse than VG. The jackets will vary but overall the condition is acceptable. A small percentage will have paper loss. Some will have split seams and writing but over half the jackets are very clean and many have the shrink and stickers intact. Dont ask what my bottom price is. Message me with any questions.
