And Boys Keep Swinging newly REMIXED by Tony Visconti. This remix was started with Davids blessing before his passing in January last year. Visconti has revisited the original multi-tracks and remixed the album to better highlight the albums nuances. This version of the album will also feature newly remixed artwork featuring unseen images from the original cover photographic session from the archive of the Estate of photographer Duffy. This remix of Lodger is exclusive to this box set (along with the Re:Call 3 compilation, more of which below) and also wont be available in any of the digital packages. The live album Stage (which was issued in 1978 between Heroes and Lodger) is included here in both the original version (exclusively on yellow vinyl in the LP box) and the 2005 reissue; the latter restored the original running order and added some bonus tracks. This is, through mastering, an attempt to resolve an issue that exists on the original master tape. On the flat unmastered transfer, there was a temporary loss of energy on the track just before 2.50. During the album mastering some high-frequency automation (in the region of +- 6dB) has been added in order to compensate for this. As the co-producer of Heroes Tony Visconti, was both fully involved and approved the remastering of this and all original albums within the set. DAVID BOWIE A NEW CAREER IN A NEW TOWN REMASTERING. The albums contained in A New Career In A New Town are how Tony Visconti, who was not involved in past remasterings, always wanted them to sound. He was previously hampered by the restrictions of vinyl regarding the bottom end. Any tape hiss on the albums comes straight from the original analogue tapes. For A New Career In A New Town, there was no de-noising as had happened on the previous remastering of these records. Watch it again you’ll discover 1-2 hair lines. In general is a great copy that doesnt exists. DAVID BOWIE Mint UK 1st PRESS Dress Cover THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD Mercury LP

A rare and exceptionally nice UK first pressing of David Bowies 1971 masterpiece. With the legendary dress cover, on Mercury Records. This authentic first pressing has stamped matrix numbers and textured cover, with the uncropped photograph of Bowie wearing his mans dress designed by Mr. This is the more scarce variant with Tony Visconti spelled correctly on both disc labels a slightly earlier variant misspelled Viscontis first name Tonny. We bought our first copy in 1973, and it was extremely rare thenonly two years after release. This example is easily the finest weve seen in the 44 years since. The fragile cover is in Near Mint condition with only some very light wear to the bottom spine, and the faintest of wear to the edges. The disc is in Mint/Near Mint condition, and probably has been played no more than 3-4 times. The vinyl shows no sign of play or wear at all, other than one small, superficial (and silent scuff). The Side 1 label has no spindle marks, while the Side 2 label has what looks like a single one. The matrix numbers are 6338041 1Y//1^420 1 1 4 and 6338041 2Y//1^420 1 1 1. If youve been looking for a copy youll never need to upgrade, this is it. We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible, and spot check any vinyl flaw that looks like it might make a sound.
