Extremely rare vinyl pressings of both volumes 1 and 2 of the Prince The Hits collections. Each volume was pressed as a 2 LP set, so both volumes combined feature a total of four records. The records were made in Germany and issued in 1993 by Paisley Park/Warner Bros. Each of the four records is in very good (VG) condition, with each having some light marks on each side. None of the marks are deep. The records are very clean. The record sleeves and inserts are all in excellent used condition with minimal wear. The records have been stored in a smoke-free environment. Vinyl record and outer sleeve in very good condition though there is some wear from the record showing on the outer sleeve. See pics 1 & 11. Includes color poster and inner sleeve which are in excellent condition. Edge is perfect with the title of the record and artist name as shown in picture 12. It is in a plastic sleeve in this photo. Some info on Collectors Universe, the company issuing the COA. Forbes magazine had them at #50 in small businesses in 2013 Their website is collectors. Inside the album cover, I discovered, a few days ago for the first time, a cutout page #56 from a November 16, 1989 Rolling Stone magazine. It appears to be The Top 100/500/200 albums of the’80s? It shows Purple Rain at #2. The other side of the single page cutout is, I believe a full page, color picture of The Clash. This info MIGHT be used to determine the age of the signatures. I have seen a lot of hype regarding 1st pressing editions…… Just an FYI on this one…. The UPC code is 25110-1 Unsure if the -1 indicates 1st pressing or not….. Songs include horny toad, international lover, how come you don’t call me anymore, erotic city, another lonely Christmas, irresistible bitch, gotta stop messin about, let’s work (long version). Comes from a collection of music items that my dad and I collected over 30 plus years. Collection includes CDs, album, 45, LP, posters, autographs, pictures, books and more. My father and I had a great love for music and since he passed I was given more then I can hold. I will be posting items from this collection over the next few months so check back to find some great music items. Albums (33 rpm) are not listened to by me for skips/pops etc unless indicated above, They are graded by sight only. 45s are listened to and graded by sight and sound unless indicated above. I will do my best on grading. If not sure on a record I will grade lower. Other items (8 track, reel to reel, etc) may or may not have been listened too. Please read info above. Please let us know if you would like to do this. Once again winner will have to pay to have item insured. NM = looks like it’s never been played. VG+ = has some slight wear and very little if any noise. VG = has obvious flaws on record or label. May have light noise but not so much you can’t enjoy. G+ = has flaws that you may see in picture on record. You will hear noise. G = has flaws more so then others and will have significant surface noise and grove wear. Label will be worn with chance of writing and damage. Below G = this will be a record that will only be posted because it’s a VERY rare record and someone may just want it to have it. It will skip or have VERY heavy noise. Almost 99.9% of the time I will not post this record.
