Not to be confused with the’70s counterfeit or the Soul Galore reissue, this is a 100% genuine issue of this monster Northern Soul rarity. This is one of the rarest US soul 45s and almost never turns up for sale anywhere in any condition. Also, it is a double sided dance floor classic and it is in beautiful condition, except for a black marker “X” on the’A’ label. The vinyl shows some extremely light inaudible hairline surface paper scuffs, only visible under bright light. Each side of the 45 was played once just to check audio quality. Both sides play beautifully with no distortion or loud background noise. The record was likely never played prior to this time, and we will refrain from playing it again, as it is a fragile styrene 45. Which is very susceptible to wear. This is a Los Angeles pressing, as indicated by the “MR” logo in a circle in the trail-off area. There is a delta number in the trail-off area on each side, indicating that this 45 was pressed by Monarch Records around January 1968, not 1965 or 1966 as listed in some discographies.
