    Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon – Vinyl LP record. With 2 posters and a postcard. EMI / Harvest – 1973 – SHVLJ(D)804. Vinyl – Very Good + (Most will grade excellent – There are only 2 very small, very light hairline scratches that can only be seen in direct sunlight – amazing condition). Sleeve – Very Good (mild scuff on the corner and edges). I HAVE 100%. RECORD COLLECTORS GRADING SYSTEM. Plain white/black sleeve or a sleeve that is not the original issued with the single. Record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed would be classed as mint. Record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear or creasing. The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items. Without any major defects is acceptable. The record has been played so much that the sound has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolourationetc. The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be torn, slightly stained and/or defaced. The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. Over a few recent sales of mine I began noting an increasing subjectivity from buyers about grading resulted in disputes over particular grading definitions. That is why I use (+) or (-). EX grade has turned into VG in your personal subjective opinion upon item arrival to you. Vinyl Visual / Audio. There is lightest warp to the edge not at all affecting play but requires mentioning. All my records are cleaned on Ultra Sound Audio Desk Systeme cleaning machine prior to playtesting. To playtest records a rigid AKAI AP-Q70 deck is used with an original Ortofon cartridge. It gives truly actual playtest result as has been many times observed that my records sound much much better on a modern playing equipment. 2 original posters in NM + 2 unused FASTPRINT stickers in NM + black inner in EX+. Grading is based on the Record Collectors Grading System. LPs are packaged in a manner to ensure safe traveling using stiffeners and professional envelopes to ensure safe arrival in the same condition as they leave. Records are removed from the sleeve in order to prevent seam splits in transit. Please allow up to 3 weeks depending on a destination for items to arrive.     A mega rare vinyl and now for sale! This is a gem! Do not let it go! Title: Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon. Side 1 Matrix: SHVL 804 A-2. Side 1 Stampers: CDP 5. Side 2 Matrix: SHVL 804 B-2. Side 2 Stampers: RL 1. Labels: VG+ (Biro mark as shown, maybe it could be removed). The above grading is more than generous most would grade higher but I like to insure everyone remains happy when purchasing from myself. I have been record collecting for 35 years now and its time to sell them all off so please do look at my other listings which will be ongoing. All my records are kept in professional boxes and played on high end equipment, if played at all! They come from a clean smoke free home. The vinyl has been evaluated using the following professional grading system. We do not send vinyls in the sleeve we always separate in the packaging. Have faith we know what we are doing! Vinyl Professional Grading System. Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed. Should be used sparingly as a grade, if at all. Near Mint (NM or M-). A nearly perfect record. A NM- record has more than likely never been played, and the vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback. Many dealers won’t give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is ever truly perfect. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects. The same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc. Very Good Plus (VG+). Generally worth 50% of the Near Mint value. A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect one’s listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are “OK”. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Picture sleeves and inner sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear, and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. Generally worth 25% of Near Mint value. Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time. Goldmine price guides with more than one price will list Very Good as the lowest price. Good (G), Good Plus (G+). Generally worth 10-15% of the Near Mint value. A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and “ticks” will almost certainly accompany the playback. Poor (P), Fair (F). Generally worth 0-5% of the Near Mint price. The record is cracked, badly warped, and won’t play through without skipping or repeating. The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all three seams and heavily marred by wear and writing. The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it.     Pink Floyd – Dark Side Of The Moon. SHVL 804 – A2/B2 1st Press with Solid Blue Triangle. Stampers – 5GDR, 1GCA. The Vinyl has been graded as Excellent. The Sleeve has some minor surface wear and some edge wear on mainly the bottom where it has been slid onto a shelf (shown in photos).     For your consideration we have. The holy grail of Christian Psych LP. Only 200 copies were ever pressed of this one and the rumor is that it was recorded in 1 take over the course of 3 hours in Glendale, Ca back in 1971. Incredibly hard to find due to the actual rarity. This has the the WR-5005 matrix showing that it is the original copy. Cover has the translucent red window which highlights the moon inner sleeve. Very reminiscent of the Doors L. Woman cover from the same time period. Cover is in Fair condition, shows wear with Three splits on top and bottom and spine. Also note rips in three of the window corners. Print and red film are nice with no writing. Please judge by photos. Record sleeve is in VG+ no issues. Vinyl is sound graded VG+ with clean play both sides no skips. Plays with very minor background noise. Please have a listen to the record by copy and paste links below. Come Out of Her. Please dont think that the record is scratched———-it isnt —-shadow marks from when I took the photos. This was in my bank safe deposit box with the other 4 until Today. THE HOLY GRAIL OF ELVIS RECORDS——the 5 SUN ORIGINAL 45s. Guide to Elvis 45 rpm Sun records. At least that is how the legend goes. According to the folks at Sun, he came in to hopefully be heard by Sam Phillips. In late 1954 he was invited back by Sam Phillips to record with Scotty Moore and Bill Blac. The first hit was Thats Alright Mama. Who would have known back then to have saved those old Elvis Sun Records? Who could have possible known that they would become the holy grail of record or Elvis collections? Today there seems to be a frenzy to obtain an original piece of what is arguably the most important of rock and roll records. It is no wonder that there are so many counterfeits out there. This guide is designed to help you distinguish the real ones from the bootlegs. For what ever reason, there seems to be a lack of printed material on authenticating Sun records. My expertise has come from many different sources over many years of collecting. The Elvis Sun records were originally, it was thought, pressed in a plant in. And in a plant in. It is rumoured that there was a third release of the originals, pressed in. Which are identical to the. All pressings have serial numbers etched into the trail-off. The records are Sun #209 “That’s All Right” (1954), #210 “Good Rockin’ Tonight” (1954), #215 “Milk Cow Blues Boogie” (1954), #217 “Baby, Let’s Play House” (1955) and #223 “Mystery Train” (1955). The rarest issues are 209 and 215, then 217, while 210 and 223 are considered to be easier. The first four records have engravings in the trail-off that end with the number 72. The fifth, Sun 223, Mystery Train, ends with the number 20. Pressings, except for Mystery Train, have three ¼ inch circular. Push marks around the centre hole, forming a perfect triangle, or Greek Delta. Hence, the name Delta pressings. These marks are not found on Mystery Train, nor on the. It is this lack of push marks that may cause original Suns from the other plants to mistakenly be wrongly identified as fakes or bootlegs. Also, misinformed or unscrupulous buyers/sellers have claimed that the 72 denotes the year of issue out of ignorance or to use lower prices. Pressings are identical to the. Pressings, except for the push marks, and the. Pressings, we learn , can be further identified by a tiny MSI stamped into the vinyl, supposedly for Memphis Sun Inc.. Pressings have a small triangle etched into the vinyl near the record label. All 5 records have been verbally guaranteed to me as original by Scotty Moore and D J. When I met them in 1993. Their words to me were these are the real deal. A lot of the information above came from them. The most certain way of distinguishing the original 1950s issues from subsequent re-issues is to look at the last two digits of the serial number in the trail-off———the72 on the first 4 Suns and the 20 on the fifth one. On the originals, the last 2 digits are approximately half an inch from the other digits. On the re-issues, the distance is doubled, to well over an inch. This is the most important factor in distinguishing the original Suns, NOT the push marks. But bear in mind, that not all sellers are crooks.
