The Beatles Yesterday And Today Album 1966 T-2553 Mono LP (Butcher Cover, Rare). The vinyl is in mint condition, first pressing, hard to find these days, tested and it plays clean. Only a handful of copies were produced. The Butcher Peeled cover is in very good condition. Includes original inner sleeve. The vinyl is made in USA. The original LP sleeves for Yesterday and Today were assembled at Capitol’s four US plants situated in different cities: Los Angeles, California; Scranton, Pennsylvania; Winchester, Virginia; and Jacksonville, Illinois. Numbers designating where the covers originated were printed near the RIAA symbol on the back; for example, mono copies from the Los Angeles plant were designated “6”. Capitol initially ordered plant managers to destroy the covers, and the Jacksonville plant delivered most of its copies to a landfill. However, faced with so many jackets already printed, Capitol decided instead to paste the replacement cover over the old ones. The new cover had to be trimmed on the open end by about 3 mm (1/8 inch) because the new sheet, known as a “slick”, was not placed exactly “square” on top of the original cover. VG+ Yezda Urfa Boris LP ULTRA RARE MISPRINT-BOTH SIDE 1 LABELS! PROG HOLY GRAIL

PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED i. OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP. LP side 1 is VG+/VG++ with just one scratch on the second half that can be lightly felt but is audible almost exclusively to the quiet 30 second introduction of the last song (“3, almost 4, 6 yea”). Side B is VG/VG+ with a tiny mark (you have to look very hard to see it but it’s there) around one third of the way through the first song (“TUTA in the Moya”) that can be heard for around 4 or 5 revolutions and one surface scratch on song 2 (“Three tons of fresh thyroid glands”) that can be lightly felt but is barely audible. Cover is VG+ with a small, very light stain in the top left hand corner on the front only and a bit of ring. This is NOT a reissue, this is the real deal. This particular copy is a misprint and has a side 1 label on BOTH sides, making it one of the rarest in existence. Notice in photos 6 & 7 where the center hole aligns differently with the “R” in Boris. There were a mere 300 copies of this mythical LP pressed privately in Portage, Indiana back in 1975 and far fewer survive today. Of the remaining surviving copies even fewer still were misprints. I have scoured the internet for any evidence of another one of these mispressings to surface and have come up completely empty. Only 10 original copies of this LP have EVER surfaced and those were all standard copies but a genuine misprint? Most likely one of a kind. This will most assuredly be a once in a lifetime chance to ever own one of these pieces of Prog royalty. This is the kind of unique item that will show up in Record Collector magazine’s Most Wanted feature for thousands of dollars if it is ever offered for sale in the future. If you’ve never heard this LP find some sound clips and you will understand the reason why this LP is talked about with a hushed reverence amongst proggers and psychers alike. The arrangements and musicianship on display are on par with the legends. What was in the water in Portage, Indiana back in’75? All reasonable offers considered. I USE GOLDMINE GRADING. NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED. VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE. VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL. VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS. Dragonwyck on their own private label from Cleveland, Ohio. Less than 100 copies were pressed. Original concert poster not included. The vinyl is very clean. VG++/VG+ condition, a few light superficial marks. It comes in a plain white cover. The quintet from Cleveland (OH) was one of the most promising bands in that area, opened shows for bands as Foghat, Golden Earring, Edgar Winter Group etc. The mood of the music is dark, heavy, mystic and strongly influenced of the times´ spirit and the Hippie age, anything goes! Shortly after highschool in 1970, they recorded 7 tracks, released a test pressing on Pama Records in an edition of only 85 copies. Jim Morrison and The Doors brought main inspiration to their music, with the small difference; the songs are heavier and more progressive; the sound is not just dominated by great vocals, there are lots of freaked out heavy guitar solos and swirling Hammond B3 organ, which brings the individual note to the music. THE HOLY GRAIL OF ELVIS RECORDS——the 5 SUN ORIGINAL 45s. Guide to Elvis 45 rpm Sun records. At least that is how the legend goes. According to the folks at Sun, he came in to hopefully be heard by Sam Phillips. In late 1954 he was invited back by Sam Phillips to record with Scotty Moore and Bill Blac. The first hit was Thats Alright Mama. Who would have known back then to have saved those old Elvis Sun Records? Who could have possible known that they would become the holy grail of record or Elvis collections? Today there seems to be a frenzy to obtain an original piece of what is arguably the most important of rock and roll records. It is no wonder that there are so many counterfeits out there. This guide is designed to help you distinguish the real ones from the bootlegs. For what ever reason, there seems to be a lack of printed material on authenticating Sun records. My expertise has come from many different sources over many years of collecting. The Elvis Sun records were originally, it was thought, pressed in a plant in. And in a plant in. It is rumoured that there was a third release of the originals, pressed in. Which are identical to the. All pressings have serial numbers etched into the trail-off. The records are Sun #209 “That’s All Right” (1954), #210 “Good Rockin’ Tonight” (1954), #215 “Milk Cow Blues Boogie” (1954), #217 “Baby, Let’s Play House” (1955) and #223 “Mystery Train” (1955). The rarest issues are 209 and 215, then 217, while 210 and 223 are considered to be easier. The first four records have engravings in the trail-off that end with the number 72. The fifth, Sun 223, Mystery Train, ends with the number 20. Pressings, except for Mystery Train, have three ¼ inch circular. Push marks around the center hole, forming a perfect triangle, or Greek Delta. Hence, the name Delta pressings. These marks are not found on Mystery Train, nor on the. It is this lack of push marks that may cause original Suns from the other plants to mistakenly be wrongly identified as fakes or bootlegs. Also, misinformed or unscrupulous buyers/sellers have claimed that the 72 denotes the year of issue out of ignorance or to use lower prices. Pressings are identical to the. Pressings, except for the push marks, and the. Pressings, we learn , can be further identified by a tiny MSI stamped into the vinyl, supposedly for Memphis Sun Inc.. Pressings have a small triangle etched into the vinyl near the record label. All 5 records have been verbally guaranteed to me as original by Scotty Moore and D J. When I met them in 1993. Their words to me were these are the real deal. A lot of the information above came from them. The most certain way of distinguishing the original 1950s issues from subsequent re-issues is to look at the last two digits of the serial number in the trail-off———the72 on the first 4 Suns and the 20 on the fifth one. On the originals, the last 2 digits are approximately half an inch from the other digits. On the re-issues, the distance is doubled, to well over an inch. This is the most important factor in distinguishing the original Suns, NOT the push marks. But bear in mind, that not all sellers are crooks. BOUGHT AT DIFFERENT TIMES, UNTIL I HAD ACQUIRED THE SET.
