We use the Record Collector’s grading system giving separate condition ratings for the Vinyl and Sleeve as follows. Near Mint (NM) – A nearly perfect record. Has more than likely been played few times or not at all, and the vinyl will show no imperfections during playback. Sleeve will have no more than the most minor defects. The same is true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc. Excellent (EX) -The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Sleeve may have slight wear or creasing Very Good (VG) – The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Sleeve, normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. Good (GD) – The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. On very rare original UK 1977 SPOTS V2086 A3 / B1 pressing LP in matt finish picture sleeve with the small type Sex Pistols logo in black type on the reverse sleeve & blue & red paper labels. This is the much sought after 11 track UK. Pressing LP with Producers Chris Thomas & Bill Price on the label with correct songwriting credits & track timings. Etched matrices V-2086 A3 / V-2086 B1 & VDJ24. Released on Virgin Records V2086 / VDJ24. The condition of the LP & 7 records are very good + (have light hairlines but they play through fine). The sleeve has mild creasing & shelfwear on edges. The labels are clean with some light spindle marks. I’ve been sitting on these for a long time and decided it was time to move them. I attended the show at Space15Twenty and was able to get Mark Tulin and Mike Byrne’s signatures on the Astral Planes one. Mike signed it twice because he said it was the first autograph he had ever done in his life and wanted to give it a second go. I only played Astral Planes once, but managed to lose the slip cover with the sticker on it. But hey, it’s also signed by the since-deceased bass player.
