First Press Factory Sealed Pressed 03 Dec 1991 Released 15 Jan. 1992 BFPL 1007 South Korea. This is the ONLY Press Released on an Entirely different master plate!! This pressing has 5 songs on side 1 and 7 on side 2. From all reports and evidence I have collected, the South Korean press was the smallest world wide. So I went out of my way to get this press. The back cover is also different. After almost 30 years you can see just how rare this press is! Less than 150 of these Registered & known to Exist of the 500 Pressed… Much less Factory Sealed.. (Very minor shelf wear).. Compared to 135,000+ Registered on the others variations. Most Likely, you will never find a better example of this press. This is a Crown Jewel & among the Rarest! Welcome to Steel Wheels. Vinyl 7 / EPs. PLEASE PLEASE ME. YEAR OF RELEASE: – 1963. Incredibly Rare 1963 UK first press 14-track mono vinyl LP on the gold print Parlophone label with’Dick James Mus. Publishing credits for Please Please Me, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Do YouWant To Know A Secret & There’s A Place, front laminated flipback picture sleeve together with the original’Emitex’ inner sleeve. The cover is in wonderful condition, especially for the age, there is some discolouration to the rear and some creasing to one corner of the rear flipbacks. The vinyl itself is simply stunning, yes it reveals some light surface marks and there is some light surface noise between tracks themselves but overall this plays out beautifully with no jumps. MATRICES:- XEX 421 -1 N XEX 422 -1 N. THIS IS A SUPERB COPY OF THIS MUCH SOUGHT AFTER ALBUM. I’M CONSIDERING KEEPING IT FOR MYSELF AS AN INVESTMENT IF I DON’T GET THE ASKING PRICE NO OFFERS PLEASE. All my items are graded according to the Record Collectors grading system. M (Mint): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and the extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EX (Excellent): The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VG (Very Good): The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. G (Good): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc. F (Fair): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. First Press, 500 copies, Black Packaged in a clear outer sleeve with non-adhesive flap and clear strap to secure it and white paper inner sleeve. Included six large, numbered “trading cards” or inserts featuring alternate cover artwork and portraits of the band and each member on the front. The back of the inserts display an overview of the band and its lineup, liner notes including production credits, song lyrics, and the track listing. The album art for this pressing is the original intended cover for the record as photographed by Ryan Bakerink, but was rejected by Fueled By Ramen as it could not be legally cleared for use. It features Pete’s then-girlfriend Morgan asleep on his bed with 1980s toys and nostalgic references displayed throughout the bedroom. The cover itself and all of the portraits included were shot in the band’s apartment located in Roscoe Village in Chicago, Illinois. I’ve been collecting vinyl records for years but it’s now time to clean my collection up. And here come the good news: this is the FIRST PRESSING with black back cover and it’s NEW AND STILL SEALED.
