Notes: glossy and plays much stronger, one significant mark that does not sound, writing on label, promo stamp ol, truly rarely up for sale, Northern Soul. Listen to MP3 soundclip. Note: Double LPs, box sets, etc. I don’t use this grade. A near perfect, probably unplayed record. Close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don’t affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to VG+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector. A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice. Significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise. In the record world,’Good’ is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we’re talking about beat-up records. BILLY BARRIX, COOL OFF BABY, MEGA RARE AND ORIGINAL CHESS RECORDS 45 SINGLE. Rare and very obscure single from Billy’Curly’ Barrix was released in small numbers back in 1957 on Chess Record Labels and this one comes out of one of the largest and finest vinyl collections in the UK, if not the World. This single has remained in superb condition and the sales history of it shows it can achieve a huge price tag. The single is in superb Excellent condition without scratches or scuffs and with just light superficial surface hairlines visible under strong lighting, and plays with an awesome sound quality on both sides without pops, skips or background noise, the tracks are, Cool Off Baby b/w Almost, and comes in its brown paper bag. This single has been inspected and authenticated by three independent dealers as a first original and authentic Chess Pressing. Interestingly this single has reversed labels and the Cool Off Baby side label has been pressed slightly off centre and this was a common error with early Chess Singles and can only add to its Authenticity.
