Karl Hoblitzelle Music Series 1942-43 10 LP Set. Radio House Chorus and Orchestra. University of Texas at Austin. This is a very rare collection of 10 University of Texas LP vinyl albums. The original Table of Contents depicts 11 records, but only 10 albums are present. Vinyl appears to be in very good condition. Paper labels show quite a bit of age/wear. He was the co-founder of the Interstate Theaters Company, a chain of vaudeville theaters, now a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. He was the first theater owner to add air conditioning to movie theaters in the United States, and the first to add sound in the Southwest. He was a supporter of the arts at the University of Texas at Austin. He also helped support the construction of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Notes: Texas garage comped on Highs In The Mid Sixties Vol. 11 (b-side uncomped),’checked titles’ writing on label, few light sleevemarks on disc, matrix info: LH-2400/LH-2401. Listen to MP3 soundclip. Note: Double LPs, box sets, etc. I don’t use this grade. A near perfect, probably unplayed record. Close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don’t affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to VG+. Will satisfy all but the most demanding collector. A used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice. Significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise. In the record world,’Good’ is not good! From here on down (Fair, Poor), we’re talking about beat-up records.
