Chuck Berry Roll Over Beethoven b/w The Moonglows Label, 45 Record TRIPLE ERROR
Secondhand Record For Sale. Item : This isnt rare or scarce, its a one of a kind. The record is the iconic 1956 Chuck Berry single, Roll Over Beethoven b/w Drifting Heart yet with the wrong label (When Im With You by The Moonglows) on the B-side! Its an understandable mix-up as the Berry single was #1626 and The Moonglows single was #1629, but its not just an error in labeling the erroneous label itself is an error label with far off-center and discombobulated printing. Even the correct label is misprinted… Notice the off-centering of and his Combo, 1626, etc.. Chuck Berry would be rolling over in a fit of laughter, of course! In his grave if he knew about this doozy! I really think Mr. Berry would have found this to be ironically funny on many levels Roll Over Beethoven When Im With You! The lyrics to the b-side song with the wrong label include: Fall will the night, still I wonder. If I’m the only. The night did fall, and by chance The Moonglows shine their light on an inevitable truth — Chuck Berry wasnt the only. Now he and Beethoven are finally together for infinity. The number 8 represents infinity (the infinity symbol is a sideways eight), and thats the exact number difference, if you rearrange the numbers, in the two mens death dates which were: 1827 and 2017. Both men died in March of those years. Oddly enough, another Roll Over Beethoven single was released in the 60s, with Sweet Little Sixteen on the b-side. Sixteen is two eights, or infinity times two. Notice all the 8’s in the matrix numbers, too. You can never escape infinity, I guess? ! Appropriately, the hosts here are The Moonglows! Berry had his Havana Moon and Beethoven had his Moonlight Sonata. Chuck and Ludwig are an odd couple to be kindred spirits, but theyre forever tied together Roll Over Beethoven is ranked #97 on the Rolling Stone list of the 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time; the single was one of 50 recordings chosen in 2003 by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. If you play this record backwards, it says: Duckwalk with me, Ludwig just kidding, I dont know how to play records backwards? ! Record will be carefully/responsibly packed. Please see my listings for other desirable titles! If youre an exception, all you need to do is let me know and hopefully we can work together! Condition : Records may not function as intended per surface noise, defective playback due to manufacturing defect or scratches, etc. Most records are in scratched condition. See Goldmine Record Album Price Guide, 5th Edition, page 17: Its estimated that no more than 2 to 4 percent of all records remaining from the 1950s and 1960s are truly Near Mint (and the next grade down from Near Mint is VG+, where light scratches are present). It amazes me that the world of record collecting doesnt have an official grading company such as in the comic book field (they have CGC), the coin collecting realm (they have PCGS), etc. Until an official 3rd party industry expert comes along, record grading remains subjective and opinions vary due to parties differences in audio equipment, etc. If you have any questions, need more info, or want to set up a Preview appointment, please feel welcome to message me and I’ll respond in a timely manner.
