Ultra rare BEATLES 1969 vinyl lp BEATLEMANIA yes the green target label
This VINTAGE VINYL LP ALBUM is by the BEATLES titled BEATLEMANIA on CAPITOL records MONO label #T-6051. This vinyl is in VERY GOOD condition with SOME SURFACE HAIRLINES and the jacket in EXCELLENT VG++ CONDITION. THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL FOR BEATLES COLLECTORS. THIS RECORD VARIATION WAS SAID NOT TO EXIST WITH THE GREEN CAPITOL TARGET LABEL. THIS ITEM IS PLAY GRADED AND HAS AT LEAST 10X BETTER SOUND QUALITY THAN THE ORIGINAL 1963 VERSION. AS MENTIONED THERE ARE SOME HAIRLINES AND SCUFFS ON THE VINYL AND HAS SOME FAINT BACKGROUND EFFECT BETWEEN SOME OF THE TRACKS. BUT DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THE MUSIC ITSELF AS THERE ARE NO LOUD CLICKS OR POPS ANYWHERE. THE COVER IS CLEAN BRIGHT WHITE, NO SPLIT SEAMS OR WRITING ON THE COVER. In 1969, Capitol changed their logo to the round target logo; they also created a new target label design for the occasion. This label was lime green and was used until 1971 where it was then replaced by the similar red target label. All the Capitol Beatles albums were reissued on this label, except for The Beatles Story and the three 6000 series albums. Capitol Records, T 6051, released November 25, 1963. Capitol Records, ST 6051, released 1978. NOTE: no mention of this 1969 green target label ever released. I’M GRADING THESE UNDER A HALOGEN LIGHT, SO YOU CAN BE ASSURED THESE ARE IN CONDITION STATED. THESE ARE CONSERVATIVELY GRADED. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY; These records are all from an uncle who was a very avid record collector who has amassed this collection over a 40 year period. Music was his passion and remember going to his home and many would be displayed on walls and had his whole garage a collage of record covers and 45’s. Drove my aunt crazy. He would go to garage sales, thrift stores, record shows and bring these home by the box fulls. All genres of music are in this collection so there is something for everyone, his only criteria, it needed to be in exceptional condition. He has said it is time for these to go so that others may enjoy what he has enjoyed for the past 40 years. There are over 40,000 records plus 10,000 45’s in this collection most if not all in the VG+ to Near Mint condition. There are a few that are rarer and in lesser condition, but will be indentified as they are listed. These will be listed for some time so visit often. THE GRADING; FACTORY SEALED UNOPENED RECORD… WOULD BE ASSUMED TO BE MINT. MINT PRISTINE, HAS NO SPINDLE TRAILS AND APPEARS JUST LIKE IT CAME OUT OF THE JACKET FOR THE FIRST TIME. WILL HAVE ALL ORIGINAL GLOSS, AT WORST POSSIBLY A LIGHT SURFACE SCUFF UP TO MINT UNPLAYED. VG++ OR VG+++ RECORD… THIS IS A RECORD WELL TAKEN CARE OF, PLAYED LITTLE, BUT MAY SHOW A SCUFF OR HAIRLINE OR TWO ON EACH OR EITHER SIDE, BUT WILL NOT HAVE ANY FEELABLE SCRATCHES. THIS RECORD WOULD BE ASSUMED TO PLAY IN THE STATED CONDITION. VG+ RECORD will HAVE A FEW MORE SCUFFS OR HAIRLINES AND MAX ONE FEELABLE TOTAL. GOOD OR VG RECORD WILL HAVE NUMEROUS HAIRLINES AND A SOME FEELABLES. THESE CAN BE EASILY BE GOOGLED. Label: Capitol Records Format: Lp Stereo Country: USA Vinyl Condition: VG+ Cover Condition: VG Year Released: 1971 LP Quantity: 1 Catalog #: ST 2553. Record has been cleaned and new sleeved. RIAA 16 on back cover. Red gold award printed on front cover. Red labels with the Purple target. Stamper: ST1-2553-B8 / ST2-2553-B8 #2. Offered is an extremely rare issue of The Beatles “Yesterday”… This is the Red labels with the Purple target variation. In May of 1971 Capitol Records began issuing albums on the newly designed Red label variation. The first two Beatles albums Capitol received pressing orders for were “Revolver” and “Yesterday”… Almost immediately the pressing of these two albums abruptly ended when Apple Records announced that they were going to re-issue all Beatles albums on their label. At that point there were an unknown number of “Revolver” pressed and probably only about 100 of Y&T pressed. The actual pressing numbers for these two albums is still a mystery to this day! What IS known is that in May of 1971 Capitol Records unintentionally created an extreme rarity by halting the pressing of “Yesterday”… And Today in mere double digit numbers. The first documented copy of this Y&T gem was discovered in 2006 and is listed in Frank Daniels and Perry Cox’ Price Guide, published by Bruce Spizer. Amazingly, this happened 35 years after the pressing date! Actual item pictured, not a stock photo. All records are packed in a new record custom ordered mailing box (tested 200 lbs) with bubble wrap encasing. Double LPs & Box Sets. Additional charge per LP as indicated above. Additional charge per LP or 45 as indicated above. Over ten years of grading nearly a million albums, Shuga Records has developed a consistent – and conservative – method for objectively grading the condition of everything we sell. All recordings are visually inspected under high-intensity lights, using our customized grading system. New Sealed Mint (SS). When someone says something’s “Mint condition, ” this is what they’re talking about. The album is sealed in its original packaging and has never been played. This is the highest grade for records that have been played. The album is in excellent condition and shows no visible signs of wear or damage that will affect sound quality. While not flawless, the condition is very good, showing only minimal signs of use. Any visible blemishes should have minimal affect on play quality, though light surface noise maybe present at very quiet portions or between tracks. This is a record that should satisfy all but the most strict of collectors. There may be slight ring or cover wear, or minor writing on the cover. Vinyl may have scratches and/or other visual blemishes, but should play through without skipping or repeating. Light to moderate surface noise and/or crackle may be present, however not overly distracting. Covers may have moderate ring and/or edge wear, cut-outs / hole punches, or a moderate seam splits. Let’s be honest: sound quality is low and the cover may be in very poor shape. We consider any item graded at or below VG- as a LOW GRADE item. We only sell albums rated VG- and above unless a record is so rare that its presence in the collection transcends the poor quality of the vinyl or cover. Operators are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Please leave a message if no one answers. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
