The First Production 45 RPM Record. PeeWee the Piccolo
The First Production 45 RPM Record… In the original (ill fated) cellophane sleeves. All four sides are 1s stampers. Both disks have the early notch at the center hole. Labels have the early gold print. Vinyl in VG+ and better condition. Cellophane has edge rips. Go to the Indiana State Museum website to find the framed pressing of PeeWee with the inscription… “This is the first 45 rpm record pressed at the RCA Sherman Avenue, Indianapolis plant”. It is signed by R. Price, plant manager, dated December 7, 1948. The RCA presses in Camden, NJ were idled by a strike at that time (See Billboard magazine). This is the first 45 rpm recording to enter production. It has taken me 30 years to find 4 pressings and I haven’t found one in 3 years. This item is in the category “Music\Vinyl Records”. Yes this is the original production master for the second release (MF201) of the Analogue Bubblebath EP on Mighty Force Records after Richard decided to change his artist name to AFX. Sadly the Betamax F1 master for the first release, MF001, was destroyed in a flood in the mid 1990s, so this is as near as you’ll ever get to the first thing Bubblebath related. No idea if it still plays, I no longer own a working DAT player. It currently lives on a shelf in my kitchen. If the winner wishes I shall go through all the legal to stuff to provide proof of provenance etc. Any questions please ask. Yes Mighty Force was/is my record label! If you live somewhere really nice I might personally deliver it. Enjoy wondering if this is genuine or not (it is). The item “APHEX TWIN AFX’ANALOGUE BUBBLEBATH’ ORIGINAL PRODUCTION MASTER DAT MIGHTY FORCE” is in sale since Sunday, August 12, 2018. This item is in the category “Music\Records”. The seller is “markmightyforce” and is located in St. Columb. This item can be shipped worldwide.
