AP’s UHQR mastered by Bernie Grundman towers above the rest. During our listening session, I told (Michael Fremer), if someone doesn’t like this record’s sound, their listening situation is crap. It’s everything the SACD offers and more, minus the slight digital sheen, and shockingly quieter Yes! The vinyl produced blacker backgrounds than did the SACD, hence the “shock” Ed. In addition, the packaging (which was sent in an unfinalized version) is stunning; the album itself is housed in a Stoughton tip-on gatefold while the outer two-piece box is of excellent build and features a beautiful wooden spine. Read the entire commentary, based on a pre-production copy of the album, here. Analogue Productions, the audiophile in-house reissue label of Acoustic Sounds, Inc. The 200-gram records will feature the same flat profile that helped to make the original UHQR so desirable. From the lead-in groove to the run-out groove, there is no pitch to the profile, allowing the customer’s stylus to play truly perpendicular to the grooves from edge to center. Clarity Vinyl® allows for the purest possible pressing and the most visually stunning presentation. Every UHQR will be hand inspected upon pressing completion, and only the truly flawless will be allowed to go to market. Each UHQR will be packaged in a deluxe box and will include a booklet detailing the entire process of making a UHQR along with a hand-signed certificate of inspection. Are significant because they are not only difficult to find in premium condition but they also feature discrete mixes made specifically for monophonic release, originally created by producer Chas Chandler, Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Kramer. For this mono edition of. Bernie Grundman’s Los Angeles mastering facility was utilized, using a specially equipped Studer tape machine outfitted with a full track mono head block. Started with a very low price. The Beatles – 1968 UK Top Loading Mono Cover No 0009745. Beatles Memorabilia – Double LP PMC 7067-8. We found this in our attic and it’s clearly been there for many years. I’m not a collector so have no knowledge of the value. This is a complete set with both black inner sleeves, Original lyric sheet/poster and 4 individual prints of The Beatles. This LP is always said to be the “Crown Jewel” or “Holy Grail” of any Beatle collection and finding an original UK Mono pressing with a cover number under 10,000 is rare. The original 1968 first issue, fully laminated top opening, Mono gate-fold sleeve in fair condition. Two original UK Mono first issue (No EMI Text) vinyl LPs both in good condition. Four Original, full color glossy photographs, one of each Beatle. Original, large format, double sided lyric poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse. This has previously fallen apart across the fold and then taped back together. The tape has now gone so the bottom third is separate – see photos. Two original matte black inner sleeves in fair condition. And’Mfd in UK’ label text. All four record labels are WITHOUT the wording’An E. The disc labels are clear in the photos. Just outside the labels on the vinyl, the following is stamped. Disc 1, Side 1: XEX 709-1. Disc 1, Side 2: XEX 710-2. Disc 2, Side 3: XEX 711-1. Disc 2, Side 4: XEX 712-1. There’s also some markings in the same area that I don’t understand. Disc 1, Side 1: GGH. Disc 1, Side 2: GGL. Disc 2, Side 3: LL. Disc 1, Side 1: HT. These markings may be unique as I’ve not seen any reference to them on any other White Album. I haven’t played them so I can’t comment on their quality. There are scratches present but I don’t know how serious they are. There has been some aging of the “White” cover but for the most part it looks good for its age. The laminate is intact although there are areas on the spine where it is beginning to loosen and some discoloring along the left side of the front cover next to the spine. There are numerous light crease marks around the cover and overall, it looks grubby. I don’t know how to clean or refurbish any of this album – so I haven’t! It’s possible that with a professional clean up, it will make someone a considerable profit. Some softening along the top opening but no tears or rips. There’s a largish superficial scratch on the front cover and a smaller one on the back (see photos). The embossed The Beatles and the record number No 0009745 are very legible. All four record labels are in VG+ or better condition, with very minor spindle marks that can be seen under close inspection. No writing, no stickers. The vinyl on all four sides seems to me to be in a fair condition. They need a professional clean but they are flat and not warped. The LP comes with all four photographs which are in VG+ condition. All four prints are 20 x 29 cos and are printed on the original thick card-stock – No tears, no writing, no pin-holes, no glue or sellotape marks. There are some areas of light wear along the tops from removing them from the cover. The LP comes with the original Lip Stick poster / lyric sheet 57 x 87 in fair condition overall except that the bottom third had come away at the fold and then taped back. The tape has long since gone but the tape mark remains. Both inner sleeves are matte black and are in good condition for age. Some folds and crinkles as to be expected. I will post anywhere and I will add tracking etc. The item “#9745 The Beatles White Album LP Mono UK 1st Press 1968. Very low number” is in sale since Monday, March 18, 2019. On the front cover there is a small crease to the top left corner, a small and faint 3/4 x 1/5 moisture stain on the top left edge, and a barely visible area of very slight discoloration near the top half of the left edgeit looks like a bit of moisture got under the lamination when it was manufactured, almost like a puff of smoke was trapped, and it is almost unnoticeable. The back cover is beautiful, with only a diagonal lamination crease to the bottom left corner, and the inner gatefold is in beautiful condition. These are all minor distractions, but we try to note any imperfection. Overall the cover is very clean, and the photos give an accurate representation. Both black innersleeves are in EX condition, the 4 photographs NM, and the poster NM. A beautiful, very low numbered copy of an essential album. We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible, and spot check any vinyl flaw that looks like it might make a sound. We just grade accurately, describe any flaw, and sell only high quality rare records in fine condition. See our other listings for more from this fantastic collection. On offer here is on original first pressing of the Beatles double “white” album as issued in Australia 1968 on Apple. I have owned this for many years and it came my way via fellow collector who found it in a deceased estate sale. This item is in overall fabulous condition and due to it’s low number makes this a desirable item for serious collectors of rare Beatles vinyl. EX+ Maybe a couple of tiny paper scuffs. Shiny vinyl, Looks and plays beautiful. LABEL : EX COVER : EX- Overall very clean, No writing, No tears, No significant creasing. There is browning to the rear spine when viewed from inside the cover. The rear spine also has a corner bump and wear mainly towards the bottom L/H corner. Look at the description photo’s, they form a major part of this description. EX overall very clean with possible minimal sign of careful use. No need to upgrade. VG obvious signs of moderate use. Possible audible background noise. G heavy use, audible background noise for sure but still worthwhile due to rarity etc. A plus or minus indicates a bias to the next level. Heavy gatefold LPs may tip scale over 500gram and incur 2 x LP rate. NEW ZEALAND – JAPAN. UK – WEST EUROPE. Double LP counts as 2xLP. Additional costs will apply! All records are packed and posted with vinyl disc placed securely out of cover pocket and plastic sealed to protect from moisture. Select quality recycled packing material may be used. All items come from smoke free home. The Australian dollar is quite weak against international currencies at the moment so if you are international.. As a serious collector of vinyl for the last 45 years, the time has come to part with many of my treasures. I will be listing 1000’s of LPs and 45s from my collection over the coming years (when time allows). THANK YOU FOR LOOKING! Prince : The Gold Experience. 2LPs on “gold” vinyl. The sleeve has some ring-wear and a small crease as the photos show, hence the VG grading. The Lps look closer to Near Mint, but with coloured vinyl it can be hard to say for sure, so I prefer to grade them conservatively as VG+. The Beatles 45 Record Same Label Both Sides Wrong Time Unheard Of Matrix Number
Secondhand Record For Sale. Item : This isnt rare or scarce, its a one of a kind. The record is supposed to be a double A side single, Strawberry Fields Forever (A) and Penny Lane (AA). Its a psych record by The Beatles, so its very important. What we have here, at first glance, is a manufacturing defect I guess? , since its labeled Penny Lane on both sides there is no Strawberry Fields Forever label on this record and there never was. This is the first irony the double A side single looks to be a double AA side single! Ok, so the second irony is that its supposed to be Strawberry Fields Forever — Not Strawberry Fields NEVER! I guess it was made in Scranton on the Penny Lane aisle where the customer wasnt going to get the full bang for their buck. Wheres my Strawberry label, dammit? Its interesting since this was an error from the start the correct time isnt 3:00 its 2:57. As if these errors werent enough, here we have an unheard of matrix in the runout/deadwax. Discogs only lists: Matrix / Runout (Runout A): 45-X-45870-G4 11, Matrix / Runout (Runout AA): 45-X-45871-F5 #2. Matrix / Runout (Variant runout A): 45-X-45870-F3 #6, Matrix / Runout (Variant runout AA): 45-X-45871-G6 #3. But, on this record, we have matrix numbers ending in 870 F3 and 871 G6 #4. Its good enough thats its an unheard of VARIANT, but wouldnt that be cool if it was a different mix or something? In any case, I know this was pressed in Scanton because it has the triangle in the runout with the IAM in the triangle. In sum, we have a triple whammy here an error record to begin with (they corrected the time on the second pressings), an (at least) manufacturing error with no Strawberry Fields label, and a matrix number which is unknown (this makes the record itself a true variant). I have a lot of Beatles records. Usually, the kid that owned it wrote his/her name all over it this is nice example because its writing free and never cleaned or anything. It has some minor looking scratches/scuffs but looks rarely played and has really beautiful gloss. A one of a kind wouldnt matter much if it was a Perry Como or Johhny Mathis record, but this is The Beatles, folks, and this 45 is one for the books. From Wiki-pedia: “Strawberry Fields Forever” is one of the defining works of the psychedelic rock genre. Too bad it wasnt defined on this record What happened, Scranton? Record will be carefully/responsibly packed. Please see my listings for other desirable titles! If youre an exception, all you need to do is let me know and hopefully we can work together! Condition : Records may not function as intended per surface noise, defective playback due to manufacturing defect or scratches, etc. Most records are in scratched condition. See Goldmine Record Album Price Guide, 5th Edition, page 17: Its estimated that no more than 2 to 4 percent of all records remaining from the 1950s and 1960s are truly Near Mint (and the next grade down from Near Mint is VG+, where light scratches are present). It amazes me that the world of record collecting doesnt have an official grading company such as in the comic book field (they have CGC), the coin collecting realm (they have PCGS), etc. Until an official 3rd party industry expert comes along, record grading remains subjective and opinions vary due to parties differences in audio equipment, etc. If you have any questions, need more info, or want to set up a Preview appointment, please feel welcome to message me and I’ll respond in a timely manner.
