Queen Rare Freddie Mercury (Larry Lurex) I Can Hear Music 1 Sided Test Pressing

Queen- Freddie Mercury (Larry Lurex). I Can Hear Music 1 Sided 7 Test Pressing – commissioned by Freddie Mercury himself with excellent provenance. This record was the property of Peter Ratty Hince, Freddie and Queens longest serving roadie and head of Queens crew and comes with his letter of provenance from him. Apparently, this test pressing was commissioned by Freddie Mercury himself later in Queens career as he couldnt actually get copies of the standard original release for himself or his friends. He asked EMI to press a small quantity on white labels with white plain sleeves. These Test pressings were produced at EMI either 1976 or 1977, 3-4 years after the original release. The cut featured on this test pressing is around 20 seconds longer than the released version. The record features the stamped number LL A1 in the run-off groove. The B side has a standard EMI test pressing tone for approx 2 minutes. It has 2 stamped on it as well as LP FB in the run off groove. I can Hear Music was originally recorded during the Summer of 1973 by Freddie, Roger and Brian to kill time when they were waiting for available studio to work on their debut album. The record is in very good condition. From my personal Queen collection of which I will be listing other rare items. Check out my other listings. Here is an amazing fully signed “A Day At The Races” LP from Queen. It was signed in the UK during The Miracle sessions in 1988. It has been signed in silver pen by Freddie Mercury (who preceded his autograph with’Best wishes’), Roger Taylor (who added’Queen’ after his autograph), John Deacon and Brian May. It has been professionally framed and looks superb. Rare to find a genuine fully signed Queen item… Fans/collectors will know just by looking that this it is the real deal. The last photo was taken with a flash just to show how lovely and clear the autographs are. It will be extremely well padded and sent in a solid box to ensure safe arrival. RVG stamped & plastylite (“Ear”) symbol etched in the run out / dead wax. 47 West 63rd NY 23 address on labels. 43 West 61st NY 23 address on cover. Original white and blue “Blue Note” label. Original thick cardboard laminated cover. Vinyl is NM (heavy, glossy vinyl, labels clean and bright, just some faint feathering from touching inner sleeve). Cover is EX+ (VIVID colors, clean and bright, tight and sharp, no seam splitting, no writing, no ring wear, only an edge bump on right edge and light corner wear; owner’s stamp on back cover; please see photos as I’ve tried to photograph to exaggerate the minor flaws). A beautiful copy of a very collectible record. This record is from the estate of a West Coast DJ, record store employee, and lifetime jazz record collector who was actively collecting from the late 1940’s through the mid-1970’s. In his latter years, he became a hoarder of clothing, which eventually covered his record racks… Leaving the LPs buried, protected from sunlight (and use) for decades. As such, the records in this collection remain uniquely well-preserved. What you see is what you’ll get. CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS (and follow me over the next few months), as I sell off the very best from this once-in-a-lifetime collection. SS (Still Sealed) – In factory-fresh condition.
