This VINTAGE VINYL LP ALBUM is by the BEATLES titled BEATLEMANIA on CAPITOL records MONO label #T-6051. This vinyl is in VERY GOOD condition with SOME SURFACE HAIRLINES and the jacket in EXCELLENT VG++ CONDITION. THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL FOR BEATLES COLLECTORS. THIS RECORD VARIATION WAS SAID NOT TO EXIST WITH THE GREEN CAPITOL TARGET LABEL. THIS ITEM IS PLAY GRADED AND HAS AT LEAST 10X BETTER SOUND QUALITY THAN THE ORIGINAL 1963 VERSION. AS MENTIONED THERE ARE SOME HAIRLINES AND SCUFFS ON THE VINYL AND HAS SOME FAINT BACKGROUND EFFECT BETWEEN SOME OF THE TRACKS. BUT DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THE MUSIC ITSELF AS THERE ARE NO LOUD CLICKS OR POPS ANYWHERE. THE COVER IS CLEAN BRIGHT WHITE, NO SPLIT SEAMS OR WRITING ON THE COVER. In 1969, Capitol changed their logo to the round target logo; they also created a new target label design for the occasion. This label was lime green and was used until 1971 where it was then replaced by the similar red target label. All the Capitol Beatles albums were reissued on this label, except for The Beatles Story and the three 6000 series albums. Capitol Records, T 6051, released November 25, 1963. Capitol Records, ST 6051, released 1978. NOTE: no mention of this 1969 green target label ever released. I’M GRADING THESE UNDER A HALOGEN LIGHT, SO YOU CAN BE ASSURED THESE ARE IN CONDITION STATED. THESE ARE CONSERVATIVELY GRADED. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY; These records are all from an uncle who was a very avid record collector who has amassed this collection over a 40 year period. Music was his passion and remember going to his home and many would be displayed on walls and had his whole garage a collage of record covers and 45’s. Drove my aunt crazy. He would go to garage sales, thrift stores, record shows and bring these home by the box fulls. All genres of music are in this collection so there is something for everyone, his only criteria, it needed to be in exceptional condition. He has said it is time for these to go so that others may enjoy what he has enjoyed for the past 40 years. There are over 40,000 records plus 10,000 45’s in this collection most if not all in the VG+ to Near Mint condition. There are a few that are rarer and in lesser condition, but will be indentified as they are listed. These will be listed for some time so visit often. An ultra rare factory sealed UK first pressing of The Beatles’ Let It Be box set. If you’ve read this far, you probably know that Let It Be was originally released in the UK by Parlophone in a box with a perfect bound book documenting the making of the album. When found, Let It Be box sets are rarely in optimal condition. The inner tray that held the book in place are usually torn or otherwise flattened. The pages of the book often came loose as well, so it’s very difficult to find a copy in truly mint condition. This example is in its original very thick factory shrink wrap and the box is in near mint condition. There are some small tears and fraying to the shrink wrap as can be seen in the photos, and a faint number 8 (likely the original price) written on the shrink wrap, but the box is in solid Near Mint condition. There is a small bit of lamination creasing to the bottom front center of the box, and as can be seen in the photos, light wear to the corners where the shrink wrap has split. But this copy is by far the cleanest we’ve seen, and obviously unplayed. Some copies had an Apple Records poster inside, but we have no way of knowing whether this one does. Beatles lp Black & Gold Please Please Me Stereo 1st UK press. This is the original first UK pressing of Please Please Me by The Beatles in STEREO 3042 with Dick James credits. The vinyl has only a few light surface marks on either side of the vinyl, and the labels have a few spindle marks, the very rare Ernest J. Printed front laminated flipback sleeve has only a couple of very minor laminate creases to the front cover with minor shelf wear to the bottom edge and the corners are showing slight signs of rounding. There is NO writing, tears, etc. The Matrix numbers are Side 1 – YEX 94-1 and Side 2 – YEX 95-2. The rice paper lined EMITEX inner sleeve is in Very Good condition with NO splits, writing, etc. Both vinyl and outer sleeve held at various angles in Daylight, Sunlight, moonlight, 100W Bulb and Strictly Graded using Record Collectors Grading system. Vinyl; Side 1: VG+ Side 2: VG+. Labels; Side 1: VG+ Side 2: VG+. Sleeve; Front: VG+ Back: VG+ Spine: VG+. The vinyl lies perfectly flat on the turntable. I have just played both sides of the album and despite some crackles and pops mainly between tracks, this easily grades 8 out of 10. All pictures are of the actual album for sale. The Beatles Yesterday And Today Butcher Cover T 2553 Mono LP. The vinyl is in NM/M- condition and plays clean. The Butcher Peeled cover is in VG+ condition. Includes ORIGINAL inner sleeve. Review photos for details and condition. The original LP sleeves for Yesterday and Today were assembled at Capitol’s four US plants situated in different cities: Los Angeles, California; Scranton, Pennsylvania; Winchester, Virginia; and Jacksonville, Illinois. Numbers designating where the covers originated were printed near the RIAA symbol on the back; for example, stereo copies from the Los Angeles plant were designated “5” and mono Los Angeles copies were marked “6”. Mono copies outnumbered stereo copies by about ten to one, making the stereo copies far more rare and valuable to collectors. Capitol initially ordered plant managers to destroy the covers, and the Jacksonville plant delivered most of its copies to a landfill. However, faced with so many jackets already printed, Capitol decided instead to paste the replacement cover over the old ones. The new cover had to be trimmed on the open end by about 3 mm (1/8 inch) because the new sheet, known as a “slick”, was not placed exactly “square” on top of the original cover. Tens of thousands of these so-called’trunk covers’ were sent out. As word of this manoeuvre became known to the public, owners of the altered cover attempted, usually unsuccessfully, to peel off the pasted-over cover, hoping to reveal the original image hidden beneath. Eventually, the soaring value and desirability of unpasted-over’butcher covers’ spurred the development of intricate and complex techniques for peeling the’trunk cover’ off in such a way that only faint horizontal glue lines remained on the original cover. Copies that have never had the white cover pasted onto them, known as “first state” covers, are very rare and command the highest prices. Copies with the pasted-on cover intact above the’butcher’ image are known as “second state” or “pasteovers”. Today, “pasteover” covers that have remained unpeeled are also becoming increasingly rare and valuable; these can be identified if Ringo Starr’s black V-neck shirt from the original cover can be seen through the paste-over to the right of the trunk lid (in alignment with the word “Today” from the album title). Covers that have had the’trunk cover’ removed to reveal the underlying’butcher’ image are known as “third state” covers; these are now the most common (and least valuable, although their value varies depending on how well the cover is removed) as people continue to peel second state covers. The most valuable and highly prized first and second state’butcher covers’ are those that were never opened and remain still sealed in their original shrink-wrap. THE BEATLES UK MONO White Album ULTRA LOW NUMBER #0001043 Near Mint 1st PRESSING

A superb Near Mint-/Near Mint UK Mono first pressing of. With the very low number 00001043. Millions of numbered copies of the White Album were produced, and to find a copy with a number this lowespecially in this conditionis very rare. This is by far the lowest number weve offered. The mono discs (with a unique mix, different from the much more common stereo pressings) are the earliest version, without An EMI Recordings on the dark green Apple labels. They are extremely clean, grading NM/NM and NM/NM. The matrix codes are -1/5/OM, -1/5/TT, -1/1/GP and -1/1/GM. All four sides play beautifully, without issue. The cover grades NM-; the number is stamped clearly and cleanly. On the front cover there is a small crease to the top left corner, a small and faint 3/4 x 1/5 moisture stain on the top left edge, and a barely visible area of very slight discoloration near the top half of the left edgeit looks like a bit of moisture got under the lamination when it was manufactured, almost like a puff of smoke was trapped, and it is almost unnoticeable. The back cover is beautiful, with only a diagonal lamination crease to the bottom left corner, and the inner gatefold is in beautiful condition. These are all minor distractions, but we try to note any imperfection. Overall the cover is very clean, and the photos give an accurate representation. Both black innersleeves are in EX condition, the 4 photographs NM, and the poster NM. A beautiful, very low numbered copy of an essential album. BEATLES THE COLLECTION 14 VINYL LP AUDIOPHILE BOX SET MFSL HAND NUMBERED #2484. THE BEATLES 14 LP BOX SET. MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LABS RECORDS. Fourteen Half Speed Original Master Recording LPs in their UK formats with the vinyl records pressed in Japan. Inside the box, each LP has a custom cover that replaces the original stock cover with a photograph of the EMI master tape boxes and log sheets. Also included is a color booklet that shows the original LP covers plus a Certificate Of Authenticity inside the front cover. The copy we are offering here has the COA hand signed by the President of MFSL and has the unique Limited Edition hand written number of #2484 beside the signature. What is included inside the box are the fourteen record covers, fourteen records, fourteen original anti-static record sleeves, fourteen original folded custom poster board inserts that house the inner sleeves inside the covers, a thick booklet with COA inside the front cover, MFSL Summer/Fall 1982 catalog, and MFSL Geo-Disc (which can be used to align your turntable, if you wish). All 14 records look like they have hardly ever been played or handled. We carefully inspected each and every LP, and they are all beautiful and grade at lowest better than NM and most are stone M. The record covers grade between EX+ and NM. The Geo-Disc cover is thick and grades EX, an does the Geo-Disc itself. The booklet is completely intact and inside looks great, although the front and back outside pages have minor wear and some surface scratching on the thick paper stock material. The MFSL 1982 catalog has some crinkling and the last page is torn in the top right corner. The box itself is completely intact with a well working latch and hinges that open and close it. The box has a few rubs, scuffs and light dings here and there and around the edges, and one light stain measuring about 1 inch by 1 inch near the bottom on one side. With the exception of sealed LP’s, all LP’s are removed from their outer sleeves to prevent seam splitting. Upon request, we will give your sealed LP’s the same treatment. All records are carefully graded. In an attempt to give customers an accurate impression of condition rather than adhere to somewhat arbitrary criteria, The Great Escape gives an “overall presentation” grade; we do not give a “listening” grade. Our vinyl listings are supplemented when necessary with additional remarks. For example: where some dealers will not allow a cut corner on an otherwise near mint jacket (often automatically relegating it to a VG+ at best), we may grade such a record as NM and note the cut-out mark (thereby letting you know what it “really” looks like: a near-perfect record with a cut corner). Please see below for grading definitions. Please zoom in and have a good look at the photos. With insert and replacement inner. K’ text on the label. Internal flip back sleeve. The sleeve has just very light wear. The record is very clean, side one is close to NM, side 2 has just a couple of small light surface marks. All Items orders before 14. We remove all records from their sleeve, where there is a lyric inner or similar the record will also be removes and transported in a poly lined inner. All contents will the be bagged. We package our records in the best available mailers with two cardboard protective stiffeners, great care is taken with all packaging to ensure that your record arrives in the best possible condition. Auctions please pay within 4 days of the listing ending. Heavy items such as Hi-Fi equipment are excluded. Please note that all of our records are visually graded under strong light, unless otherwise stated. We stock 1000’s of records so it is impossible for us to play every record. Please feel free to request a play grade which we will happily provide. We only grade as mint where the record is brand new and sealed with no visible damage to the sleeve. It may have slight corner bumps/rub, ringwear and maybe very minor creasing. It will have no rips or splits. Record: We be in a new like condition. It may have very, very minor defects such as no more than a couple of very light wispy hairlines and a couple of spindle trails around the centre holes. Basically a record in NM condition will look like you have just got it back from the record shop or at worse only had a couple of plays. Sleeve: As NM but the signs of wear will become a little more pronounced. There may be signs of stress at the seams maybe the beginnings of a split. It may have a cut out hole indicating that it was taken out of print. There may be a little graffiti on the sleeve or label. Record: Will show signs of play but has been well looked after by the previous owner. It may show a few more light marks/scuffs than a NM. These marks won’t be deep enough to be felt. Slight warps are that don’t effect the sound are OK. Sleeve: A VG sleeve will have many of the defects found in a EX but more pronounced. Seam splits may be more obvious or may be taped or show residue. There may be small rips. Laminate may be bubbled, may be marred with writing. Record: Wear and defects will be more obvious with marks/scuffs deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Groove wear will be more noticeable. Sound deterioration and surface noise will become more likely especially during quieter passages. We don’t sell records with a lower grade than VG unless it is incredibly rare. The collection, the box, and the contents are in great condition. More pictures are available upon request. Please ask if you have any questions. The serial number for this set is #4901. It’s very rare to find such a low serial number. I have tried to take a couple sample pictures of the records to show the pristine quality of the actual record. Please note the light shining off the records, is simply light reflection. The records have been well kept and are in excellent condition, but there is some minor wear from age on the sleeves and covers. Each record is housed in a poly sleeve within a cover and then the actual album cover. There is a geo disc with a cover in excellent condition. It can be shown in a picture upon request. The Beatles: The Collection is a vinyl boxed set of every Beatles album until’82 remastered at half speed from the original stereo master recordings, except for Magical Mystery Tour which was mastered from Capitol Records’ submasters with the last three tracks in rechanneled stereo. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) pressed a second run of the Beatles Boxed Set for a total production run of 25,000 over the next two years or until October 1985. Each album was pressed on black vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan. The album covers were replaced with photographs of tape boxes and log sheet. The original album covers were included in a booklet which also featured a certificate of authenticity as this was a limited edition collection. Missing from this collection were all of the Beatles’ singles, extended Play and a few miscellaneous tracks that did not appear on their original UK albums.
