Beatles lp Please Please Me STEREO 1st UK Press
Beatles lp Black & Gold Please Please Me Stereo 1st UK press. This is the original first UK pressing of Please Please Me by The Beatles in STEREO 3042 with Dick James credits. The vinyl has only a few light surface marks on either side of the vinyl, and the labels have a few spindle marks, the very rare Ernest J. Printed front laminated flipback sleeve has only a couple of very minor laminate creases to the front cover with minor shelf wear to the bottom edge and the corners are showing slight signs of rounding. There is NO writing, tears, etc. The Matrix numbers are Side 1 – YEX 94-1 and Side 2 – YEX 95-2. On side 1 at 9 oclock it’s an upside down G and at 3 oclock it has an upside down number 1, on side 2 at 9 oclock it has a number 1 and at 3 oclock it has an R stamped into the dead wax area. So it looks like the side 1 label has been put on upside down at the factory, which probably makes this even rarer. The rice paper lined EMITEX inner sleeve is in Very Good condition with NO splits, writing, etc. Both vinyl and outer sleeve held at various angles in Daylight, Sunlight, moonlight, 100W Bulb and Strictly Graded using Record Collectors Grading system. Vinyl; Side 1: VG+ Side 2: VG+. Labels; Side 1: VG+ Side 2: VG+. Sleeve; Front: VG+ Back: VG+ Spine: VG+. The vinyl lies perfectly flat on the turntable. I have just played both sides of the album and despite some crackles and pops mainly between tracks, this easily grades 8 out of 10. All pictures are of the actual album for sale. The item “Beatles lp Please Please Me STEREO 1st UK Press” is in sale since Friday, January 3, 2020. This item is in the category “Music\Records”. The seller is “vidski65″ and is located in Glasgow. The contemporary view was that this was not just the peak of The Beatles career but the high point of recorded music to that date. It is where the Beatles really exploit the studio as the instrument, forgoing live playing for sonic adventure. It is impossible to overstate its impact: from a contemporary Sixties perspective it was utterly mind-blowing and original. Looking back from a point when its sonic innovations have been integrated into the mainstream, it remains a wonky, colorful and wildly improbable pop classic, although a little slighter and less cohesive than it may have seemed at the time. From Lennon’s evocative “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” and carnival-like Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, ” toMcCartney’s music hall-styled “When I’m 64, ” to Harrison’s Eastern-leaning “Within You Without You, ” and the avant-garde mini-suite, “A Day In The Life, Sgt. Pepper is a milestone in every sense of the word. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. With a Little Help from My Friends. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. She’s Leaving Home. Track 4 on side two, episode 79, features a clip from their current single, I Want To Hold Your Hand, and a fairly hilarious five minute interview with The Beatles, which also has some serious moments as John discusses future post-Beatles plans to go into the recording/producing side of the industry, and George (or possibly Ringo) discusses future plans of sailing around in a yacht. You can read a transcript of the interview here; Bulletin From Britain – The Lost Beatles Interview. Beatles LP YESTERDAY & TODAY 2nd State FACTORY SEALED Mono BUTCHER COVER LOA
Beatles LP “YESTERDAY & TODAY”.. Letter of Authenticity Included. Remedy to marketing an acceptable Album Cover for their latest album issued on. BEATLES’ “YESTERDAY and TODAY”. This variation is referred to as a. 2nd STATE MONO BUTCHER COVER. Because the original cover was pasted over with this new and more publicly acceptable cover design as shown here, since the original was found to be somewhat over the top and rejected by public opinion and the record executives at. The newly pasted over photo is known as the TRUNK COVER. This corrected cover version was released on JUNE 20, 1966. To make certain that the album is an actual 2nd STATE BUTCHER COVER , one easy way to tell is to look at the right side of the front cover about midway down. You will see a faint depiction of Ringo’s Black V-Neck shirt underneath. If you don’t see this, it’s a standard LP. This record is amazingly STILL FACTORY SEALED from 1966 and is in NM condition throughout, including all 4 corners, the spine, the opening and the in-tact shrink wrap throughout. It is the MONO Recording Capitol Catalog No. T-2553 and is one of the best examples of this rarity that we have seen in decades. It’s hard to imagine one in better shape. Also note that the ORIGINAL PRICE STICKER is still present. Overall it is a magnificent piece and a highly sought after collectible. It is obviously a FIRST PRESSING from Capitol’s LA Pressing Plant. On the back of the cover, you will note the Number 6 in the lower right corner. These LA Pressings were the VERY FIRST to be produced. On a personal note, these 2nd STATE MONO BUTCHER albums are rarely spotted in this pristine condition. There are obviously less expensive one’s out there in the collector’s market, but very few SEALED copies have EVER been found here in the 21st Century, that are overall in this museum quality state. It’s truly a magnificent piece of history and BEATLES MEMORABILIA! “HEIN’S RARE COLLECTIBLES”. (LOA Provided – See Photos). E b a y! E b a y. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! The Beatles Yesterday And Today Album T-2553 Mono LP (Butcher Cover, Holy Grail)
The Beatles Yesterday And Today Album 1966 T-2553 Mono LP (Butcher Cover, Rare). The vinyl is in mint condition, first pressing, hard to find these days, tested and it plays clean. Only a handful of copies were produced. The Butcher Peeled cover is in very good condition. Includes original inner sleeve. The vinyl is made in USA. The original LP sleeves for Yesterday and Today were assembled at Capitol’s four US plants situated in different cities: Los Angeles, California; Scranton, Pennsylvania; Winchester, Virginia; and Jacksonville, Illinois. Numbers designating where the covers originated were printed near the RIAA symbol on the back; for example, mono copies from the Los Angeles plant were designated “6”. Capitol initially ordered plant managers to destroy the covers, and the Jacksonville plant delivered most of its copies to a landfill. However, faced with so many jackets already printed, Capitol decided instead to paste the replacement cover over the old ones. The new cover had to be trimmed on the open end by about 3 mm (1/8 inch) because the new sheet, known as a “slick”, was not placed exactly “square” on top of the original cover. IN ORIGINAL SEARS BAGGY (INSANELY HARD TO FIND SHRINK). LP on vinyl record. Meets all the criteria of an authentic Ad Back + 1st press vinyl with album title above the spindle w/ oval. Original pressing featuring. Love Me Do’ and’P. S I Love You’ which were later changed a month later. The very first run of 6000 front cover slicks says’Printed In U. A’ on the lower left hand corner near the spine. “LONGPLAYING” and “MICROGROOVE” labels with album title above spindle. Clean labels and shiny vinyl. General surface wear with no major issues. Side 1 has an extremely lightly feelable hairline on the last 2 tracks but barely affects play because the music overpowers the occasional light crackle. Fair amount of wear can be seen under a bright light, but plays really well. ORIGINAL SEARS BAG IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. The edges are basically NEAR MINT with close to no wear at all (fully legible spine). The shrinkwrap bag is tight but can be slipped off with a little force. Jacket has mild fade and light ring wear which can be seen on the front mostly. Check out our other items!
