Rare original MELLOW CANDLE SWADDLING SONGS UK Deram 1972 Psych Folk

Hi, Up for sale today is an original 1972 1st press of the extremely rare Mellow Candle lp Swaddling Songs. Artist / Title: Mellow Candle Swaddling Songs. Label: Original UK Deram 1972 release SDL 7. P-1W and ZAL 11142P-2W. There only a few spindle marks on the labels, has seen very little play. Side 1, track 4 has a 1cm scuff right at the end of the track, this mark just creeps over to the very start of track 5 – this scuff causes around 18 low dull clicks, hence the VG grade of this side. Audio: VG+, nice clear sound, in the main the playback is great, but there is some very occasional light background noise and the a handful of light clicks; still a great listen. Sleeve: standard Decca stereo inner from the early 1970’s. If you are looking at this page you will know what a great lp this is. We use strict grading, this VG+/VG record is a great sounding copy! RARE THE BEATLES COLLECTION 1982, MFSL Half Speed Mastered Box set #4901

The collection, the box, and the contents are in great condition. More pictures are available upon request. Please ask if you have any questions. The serial number for this set is #4901. It’s very rare to find such a low serial number. I have tried to take a couple sample pictures of the records to show the pristine quality of the actual record. Please note the light shining off the records, is simply light reflection. The records have been well kept and are in excellent condition, but there is some minor wear from age on the sleeves and covers. Each record is housed in a poly sleeve within a cover and then the actual album cover. There is a geo disc with a cover in excellent condition. It can be shown in a picture upon request. The following is from Wikipedia. The Beatles: The Collection is a vinyl boxed set of every Beatles album until’82 remastered at half speed from the original stereo master recordings, except for Magical Mystery Tour which was mastered from Capitol Records’ submasters with the last three tracks in rechanneled stereo. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) pressed a second run of the Beatles Boxed Set for a total production run of 25,000 over the next two years or until October 1985. Each album was pressed on black vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan. The album covers were replaced with photographs of tape boxes and log sheet. The original album covers were included in a booklet which also featured a certificate of authenticity as this was a limited edition collection. Missing from this collection were all of the Beatles’ singles, extended Play and a few miscellaneous tracks that did not appear on their original UK albums. This is an exceedingly rare chance to own MOST of the rarest Nirvana ever pressed on vinyl!!! Nirvana was an American rock band formed by lead singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting and best-known being Dave Grohl, who joined in 1990. Despite releasing only three full-length studio albums in their seven-year career, Nirvana has come to be regarded as one of the most influential and important alternative bands in history. Though the band dissolved in 1994 after the death of Cobain, their music maintains a popular following and continues to influence modern rock and roll culture. In the late 1980s, Nirvana established itself as part of the Seattle grunge scene, releasing its first album, Bleach, for the independent record label Sub Pop in 1989. They developed a sound that relied on dynamic contrasts, often between quiet verses and loud, heavy choruses. After signing to major label DGC Records, Nirvana found unexpected success with “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, the first single from the band’s second album Nevermind (1991). Nirvana’s sudden success widely popularized alternative rock, and Cobain found himself referred to in the media as the “spokesman of a generation”, with Nirvana considered the “flagship band” of Generation X. Nirvana’s third studio album, In Utero (1993), released to critical acclaim, featured an abrasive, less mainstream sound and challenged the group’s audience. Nirvana’s active career ended following the death of Cobain in 1994, but various posthumous releases have been issued since, overseen by Novoselic, Grohl, and Cobain’s widow Courtney Love. Nirvana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Famein 2014, in its first year of eligibility. I have broken the descriptions up into groups of rarity. NIRVANA FLEXI DISCS—– These are the rarest of all pressed Nirvana vinyl. There was only one factory in the world that pressed these, and it was in Russia. I bought vinyl from a man that lived in Poland for a period of time, and we talked. Turned out he had a Bob Dylan Flexi. I had not ever heard of the flexi, & so I bought it. After seeing it, I wondered if Nirvana was pressed on these. As it turns out, they were! This man worked at that plant, and when it closed down, he was able to keep an assortment of presses. He said that the first press was between 25 and 100, and each additional press was the same (25 / 100 presses) but on a new color. Unfortunately, I found no record of how many were pressed of each color, or the order pressed. Needless to say I bought all the Nirvana Flexi discs he had… (There were not any doubles to be had)They are as follows. Something in the Way Picture Flexi Disc Clear Vinyl 3051-X. This is the only Nirvana Flexi Picture Disc!!! This Press is Exceedingly Rare!!! This is the Crown Jewel of the Flexi Discs!!! All presses are Transparent & Square I know some of the song titles are listed incorrectly on the sleeve; Im not completely sure what they really are because Ive not played them. The center hole looks punched at first glance, but this is from the press. There are small vinyl points that are there to hold the vinyl tight to the record player. They are all M/NM+ Unplayed! This Set is Exceedingly Rare!!! – {Title Picture} – – Collectors Postcard Record – 33RPM MONO K3 Records Single sided 6″ Envelope 6″X 7 Nirvana – Return of the Rat Special Numbered Edition for Polish Records Collectors Limited Edition 50 Copies Only! 31 The title pic is the envelope for the vinyl press. The writing is printed on the back of the envelope. The front of the vinyl is a Picture Flexi Disc. The back of the press is also numbered. This is BY FAR the Rarest Nirvana press I have ever seen, or heard of! I have spoke to many serious Nirvana collectors, and there is not one person who has seen, or heard of this press. This is truly a Crown Jewel! This Press is Exceedingly Rare! EVERY Record listed in this section of the description are M/NM+ Unplayed!!! – Nevermind—– Ranked #17 Rolling Stone Magazine’s 500 greatest albums of all time! First Press Factory Sealed Pressed 03 Dec 1991 Released 15 Jan. 1992 BFPL 1007 South Korea From all reports and evidence I have collected, the South Korean press was the smallest world wide. So I went out of my way to get this press. The back cover is also different. After 27 years you can see just how rare this press is! 38 of these Registered… Compared to 20,000+ Registered on the others variations This pressing has 5 songs on side 1 and 7 on side 2.. As you can clearly see, there is a HUGE discrepancy in the numbers! After 28 years you can see just how Exceedingly Rare this press is! This is the Crown Jewel of all the Sliver presses! -Nirvana/Melvins Here she comes now —– 1991 Original First Press Original Yellow Marbled (T) COMM 23 A, L-37601 (T) COMM 23 AA, L-37601 X Limited Edition Press of 1000 World Wide From all reports and evidence i have collected, there were 1000 total pressed! The matrix on this press is ALMOST EXACTLY the same as the original Love Buzz! If you were take this vinyl and put it with the sleeve of the Love Buzz listed below, and take a red felt tip and give it a unused number, it could easily pass as an original to anyone who is not up to speed with all the details. This is a clear sign why so few has been Registered. (All represses of this have the matrix scratched out because of this) This press is exceedingly rare! -Love Buzz 7—– Matrix: SP. 23 B1 This is an original first press. Here is the story of this vinyl: Though commonly referred to as Oi! Kinnock, the full title actually continues onto the back of the folded sleeve. The entire title is also printed on the Side A label. The credits are wrong about the sources of the songs. “About A Girl” is from 1990.01.06 in Seattle, and “Love Buzz” and “Dive” are from the Blind Pig show in Ann Arbor, Michigan on 1990.04.10. Neil Kinnock lead the British Labour Party from 1983 until 1992 and began the process of reforming the party and moving it away from its hard left roots, which angered many of its traditional supporters.
